This is an old world treasure of a hardware store. Simply put, they have what you need. I needed cedar for some benches, they had beautiful lumber. I needed handles for the benches, they had two types. The customer service is great and the prices are fare. I have purchased from them over the last 20 years. And I still recommend them. Stop by for all your hardware and lumber needs.

The staff are highly knowledgeable and eager to help. The owner Lee is honest and fair and prices are competitive even with giant retailers of building products. Highly recommend.

I Love a small town business thriving. It's the extra passion and love you feel when you walk into a small town store that you will never feel at a major corporation.I'm not saying that the employees at a major corporation are not just as welcoming and charming and amazing.Because they are...It's the way it's ran. There is no going straight to the big wig and letting him know your ideas on how to make the jobs a little easier, at a big corporation. There no connection, No intimacy, No room to grow as an employee because you can only get so far up that chain of command. At a Mom and Pop Shop they put in so much love and passion into what they do is because,They Love what they Do and Do what They Love. They treat their employees well so they stay loyal and down to do whatever to make the business grow. There in it for the long haul.Go Visit Proctor True Value Building Supply(Proctor Builders)I know for some it may be a bit out of the way.And I know sometimes, your in a pinch for time, gotta do what you gotta do.I'm asking you, on them days when u are able to comfortably venture out, Please drive the extra couple miles to support our local businesses.Go support Proctor BuildersThey have reasonable prices, and It's worth the big smile and personal greetings.(ノ゚0゚)ノ~ Sҽαﻞαყ

Great service! Bought some glass, and a guy named Lee helped make sure I could safely get it home without the right equipment to haul it.

I thought I'd give them a try as they had seemed to have expanded since being there 20 years ago. Kind of wandering around looking for zip ties, found them. Needed to repair mailbox, they are listed as a vendor by the county. Asked Southern Belle behind the counter where the mailbox stuff was and she couldn't have been more rude. Wouldn't have even asked but she was staring me down as I walked by. Trying to read signs without my glasses I didn't fit her idea of a Proctorite. Maybe I didn't stumble enough. Oh well, I'll go to Woodland then. I tried.

So grateful to have this full-service hardware store in Proctor, Minnesota. Employees are always friendly, knowledgeable, and I’m usually on my way with what I need in minutes. Prices are reasonable, too. I value my time and it’s not worth it for me to drive way out of my way to walk through endless aisles of some big box store to search aimlessly for what I need, all to maybe, maybe not save a few pennies. Plus, when I shop locally, I always leave feeling good knowing my dollars are being spent in the community. Always my first choice for any hardware need!
