UPDATE AT END: We got our unit broken into within the last week with over $1000 of stuff stolen. The property manager said the company requires a search warranty from the police to have videos released of security cameras. What the hell? Property manager is responsive but I think it’s out of her control by corporate regulation. At this point police have to investigate further and may not issue a search warrant. Why does this company make it so hard to get police cooperation? With what was stolen, it was likely from someone that has a storage unit at this location. The longer it takes, the less likely my stuff will be recovered. Would not recommend this location, seems I failed to check reviews before signing up.
6/15/24- with the help of the management and local authorities, we had a small enough window (2-3 days) that we were able to pinpoint the culprit with security cameras, police recovered 90+% of our stuff.

So far so good it would be nice to have a gate code that lasts more than a month but being with my special request that's been given I can see why that's the case so thank you managers of the Princeton mn location for being awesome!
Update I've finally got a code just for me that I can remember so no more needing a code after business hours have closed thanks guys now if you all only had an outlet or a single fixture for the bigger units it gets dark towards the back no matter what time if day in those ones and it sucks to have to keep your car running so you don't kill your battery just so you can see clearly in your unit so heads up people invest in a camping lantern or something like that had lamps work too but it can attract bugs to your face an I don't know about you but June bugs flying at your face..... NOT COOL AT ALL

STAY FAR AWAY!!! We were robbed as were several others between October of 2023 and January 2024. They are uncooperative, they won’t pay anyone’s insurance claim and they refuse to deal with police. AND… the person that was doing the robberies has a unit at SROA too!
All the security cameras are broken. The claims department actually told me”The cameras are not for the tenants they are for SROA, so they can monitor their property”
Please save yourself a huge headache and several thousand dollars and rent elsewhere.

We rented a unit from the Princeton, MN location, planning on only using it for a month in between moving, and not even 2 weeks later it was broken into and around $3,000 worth of items were stolen, many of them collectible and very hard to replace for a reasonable price.
I called the property manager multiple times, and after 2-3 days of trying, finally got ahold of them. I requested them to check the the cameras to see if they could see anything to identify the thieves, but the manager said the police would need to produce a warrant to obtain the footage.
Talked to the local police to file a report and they said someone else's unit was broken into around the same time. The police finally obtained the camera footage, but it turns out the cameras are damaged/broken so there's no way to track the burglar(s) path. The security gate is very sketchy too, sometimes it doesn't close at all.
Rent here at your own risk, knowing your items are not safe.

We were only at this location for about three months before our storage unit was broken into and over $1,000 of items stolen. We arrived to find new locks on our unit and Storage Rentals of America told us they had come across our unit without a lock, so they locked it up. Thank you to the maintenance man that did that! Wish we could have been called though. We had no idea when the destruction had happened.
We had to use a grinder to get back into our unit. We walked in to broken items, boxes dug through, etc..We called the police and made a police report. SROA has sent us in circles for a year trying to get a claim & they've let us know their security cameras don't work. Shame.

I would never recommend anyone utilize any Storage Rentals of America facility. There are not responsive to issues and extremely difficult to work with. Our specific issues are with the Princeton, MN location. We had a unit with a leaky roof that we reported many times and they attempted to fix. Then a rain storm came and soaked a number of items in the unit.Even when paying for insurance and submitting all the required paper work they state they haven't received the paperwork even though it has been submitted multiple times.

Recently stored a bunch of belongings while moving between places. Our unit was broken into and over a thousand dollars worth of power tools were stolen. I went in circles with the manager, even filled out the insurance claim form because we paid for the insurance and submitted the form but nothing was ever resolved. I understand even if we didn't get all our money back but didn't even hear back after trying to contact multiple times. Finally gave up as the local manager was no help and trying to reach corporate SROA help was a joke. They make it very easy to sign up but makes it difficult to get help or cancel your contract, let alone find anything on your account on their website.Would not recommend!

Very nice storage units. After spending time to finish a form for KO I finally called and was connected to Maybelle. She walked me through the whole process. She was a great help.
