Looked over price list. Chose Rib Eye for $11.99. I gave him my card. Employee rang it up charged me over $14 lb. When I questioned it he said, in a surly manner, "the prices are outdated". As though it was my fault. When I opened the meat the steaks were unevenly cut and difficult to cook with consistency.
NO ONE should trust this company based on my experience. We are from out of town. Pipestone should be ashamed of these people.
I went to another store for some other groceries. Made sure numerous people knew of my excperience. Perhaps the word will spread! I have been mentioning to other people as well as I come in contact with local residents.

I've gotten several hogs butchered here and they did a great job! The bacon, ham and smoked Polish sausage were very nicely smoked. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for good butchering services.

When I spoke with son about prices and etc. he was very nice. Had to call back at a later time to set up an appointment and talked to a gal about blessing the animal first for religious reasons. She was very kind but after asking what religion it was for and talking to the father, they were very rude and insulting about my beliefs. How can businesses expect good service when they are discriminating their customers like that?

A great small town meat market! I told D&T that I was interested in buying a 1/4 of locally raised beef good for tender steaks and having them make some into teriaki jerky. They said they would call me when they got in an acceptable steer. A few weeks later they called me when they got in a nice red angus steer and the farmer was looking to sell a 1/4. They said it would be about $550 for between 125 and 135 lbs. They gave me 30 days free cold locker storage to pick up the beef and $6 per month locker rental after that if I couldn't fit it all in my home freezer. They aged the beef and the steaks cut like butter because the meat is more tender when the animal isn't stressed in a feed lot and shipping to market.
