I use to work here and let me say i will not be releasing names or even say the location of lowes, when i was there someone use to do nasty things to tge products getting sent out, later down the line i will start a youtube talking about things like this and others happened while i worked even try and interview ppl getting fired for some outragous reasons

I live out of town but I bought one of their products, a drill Craftsman. And had to come back to the same store and exchange it not once because it broke not twice because it broke but three times twice because it was broken and once this last time, I had to come back to this store because when I opened up my Craftsman drill the battery look like it had been ran over by us pickup truck. I tell the manager Anita that I'm leery of exchanging again because it's already been three times she begins to treat me like I'm a criminal and I was doing the most. She made me feel uncomfortable and she was very catty. I recommend staying away from owatonna Lowe's terrible terrible terrible especially the manager Anita.

Although I don't mind shopping at Lowes to get specifically what I want, their subcontracting services are horrific. Over the past few years, I was interested in putting in a fence. It took about 5 times before someone came out to assess, then they never got back to me with a quote. Second, I had two screen doors installed. This went a bit better with setting up and quoting, but then they installed one door with a loose handle, and another one with that was missing pieces, and now hangs crooked. The final straw was when we asked them to come out and quote our last screen door (and I was going to give them grief on the other two doors). However, like the cable guys, they were supposed to show up between 1 and 3 pm. I took a half day off, home by 12:30, and sat in the living room waiting. They never showed. My wife was texting them, and they stated they rang the doorbell, but no one answered. Oddly enough, we have a doorbell camera that would have detected anyone showing up. Not to mention dogs that would have barked, since I had the main door open, full view through the screen, and they like to sit there and look outside. When I open the door, it is like an instant dog magnet. Not to mention I was at my computer and desk, in direct sight of the front door. Now, continue on with the texting. Now they are saying they might have had the wrong address. That is odd too, as I am on a very short street, and would have seen them drive by, and go to the wrong address. And wouldn't they have confirmed the address??? Nice job Lowes, you are even worse than cable guys. Give our down payment back just for you to "quote", and go rest in hell. Lastly, the old man that did our gutters was by far better than any experience I have had with you. Congrats, losers.

Just tried calling multiple times and nobody answered in Appliances. When I called Customer Service, they answered by asking who they could transfer me to and I explained that I was looking for a particular product and that I had tried to be connected to appliances but that nobody answered. The response I reviewed was "I know that ma'am but we are busy." Extremely rude and unprofessional. This store will never get my money again.

Horrible, horrible customer service. I ordered a sink online and it took them over an hour to find it. Then never apologized. The store manager acted like she just did me a favor. You just lost a customer.

I've noticed more than one negative review regarding appliance delivery/installation. I understand their frustration, but I've never used these services, so I can only speak to my own experience with this store. Lowes is an all-in-one home improvement store. From lumber to garden they seem to have it covered. This makes it very convenient, but when you try to do everything, the level of product or service tends to suffer. Much like a restaurant with a menu that has too many options. I like that they don't seem to cut corners with their staffing (I was once there early morning on a Black Friday to buy a drill and there were more employees than customers), but the service provided varies quite a bit. It seems to range from 'friendly expert in my department' to 'warm body in a vest'. I once went to the lightbulb area and there were three people working. As I approached, two of them walked off. When I told the third person what I was looking for he left to find someone who could help me. I found it on my own before help arrived to save me. In short, Lowes is probably the place to go if you need several things for a large project. Otherwise I go to the smaller businesses that focus on one thing, like paint or flooring.

Went there last night and the service was horrible.....waited over 30 minutes to get anyone to even help....the help was slow and rude....whole visit took 1 1/2 hours when we knew exactly what we wanted....unhappy!!

Purchased a washer and dryer from Lowes in Owatonna. Delivery and installation is included and I had all the supplies ready for installation early on a Sunday. We were second on the delivery schedule and were told it would arrive well before noon. The truck got here after 5:45 p.m. Worse they delivered the washer and dryer got into their truck and left. They did not install them!! When I called the earliest that worked for installation was Saturday ... five days later. I know they left because I wasn't sitting watching them. It's as if they snuck out quick just so they did not have to go to the work. Totally crappy service. If you purchase from Lowes block the door until you know it's done

We recently purchased a complete kitchen set from Lowes in Owatonna. We were able to pick up the dishwasher and stove within 2 days of the purchase. We were told that the microwave was 1 1/2 weeks out on back order. We called back at the end of that time frame and were told that it was still on back order. After waiting for 3 total weeks we were then told that the microwave was not going to be available anymore....After some complaining, they finally were given approval from a manager to upgrade us to the next one in the Samsung line. I picked that up and installed that too.That brings us to the fridge...We are still waiting for this to come in over a month later. We called and were told by 2 different employees that it WAS IN and would be delivered today 12/26/16. Not so much. When it didn't show up when we were told it would be here, I called back. The manager said the truck didn't show up but would have someone in appliances contact us. They did and told me that he wasn't sure why we were told it was in and wouldn't be delivered until 1/4/16 at the earliest. He wasn't sure why Samsung was not giving accurate info as it would just, in his words "piss off the customer". You are right, it has. I would avoid buying anything from this department much less this store. Nobody has a clue of what customer service is or how to be honest with their customers. Nearly $3000 on this purchase and $1500 3 weeks prior to that on a washer/dryer set....They win in the end because they get their money up front...

Service and quality of merchandise has significantly decreased over the past 6-8 months. This particular Lowe's is very hesitant to honor any "price match guarentee" if they honor it at all. The are significantly overpriced on the same products that competitors offer - example: Milorganite fertilizer is around $6 at the local Fleet Farm while it is over $11 at the Owatonna Lowe's - shouldn't really be a problem but then they argue with you about the price match policy. As stated earlier, management and the willingness to work with contractors and customers has significantly changed and it appears they are not worried about the customer service aspect. My advice is to avoid this store and try another box store.
