UPDATE: Shortly after submitting this Google review, the pharmacy called to let me know that they would now refund the charges for the prescription that I never touched and didn't pick up. [While I was in-store and asking them to refund my money because I couldn’t use the prescription, they kept trying to get me to take the prescription, saying, "it's yours"]. So, I can say that they are good at reacting to reviews, at least.Below is my review.Cat RX--methimazole--a common medicine used to treat hyperthyroidism.When I arrived to pick up RX ointment, pharmacist explained how to administer and it was determined that it would not work for my situation. Pharmacist offered an alternate modality available for same drug [a treat, rather than ointment].I never touched the ointment -- it was always in possession of MIX Pharmacy. MIX kept the ointment. Yet MIX still charged me for it and ALSO made me pay for the new RX for treats! What a racket.This doesn't even sound legal. Extremely disappointed.

11/14/23 @ 445pm: Prescription was sent over and I asked for them to hold off on it since they said it will take about 3-5 days to complete. The nurse from my clinic called and expressed that I needed my prescription asap and was informed that the protocol is to say it takes about 3-5 days, however, it can be completed sooner.11/15/23 @ 9am: I called them back and asked them to move forward confirming that I'd like my prescription based off of info I received from the nurse. I gave them my credit card information so they can bill for it.11/16/23 @ 930am: I called them back as I realized they may not have my phone number on file since this is my first time filling a prescription there. As a result, I will not receive a text informing me to pick up my prescription. Called them back and they must've forgot/misplaced my information because they couldn't find it. She said they will bill for the prescription and call me back once they locate my prescription. Decided to cancel my prescription if they find it and asked them not to bill my credit card.

Zero sense of urgency, you'll get your needed med when they get around to it, same with shipping. This pharmacy is just fine if you want to wait around for 10 days on a maybe and a when. No, thank you.

I have been using Mix Pharmacy for a few years now and have always had the BEST customer service from everybody! They make getting refills so easy, even if they need to call the doctor's office. And they ship out right away! If only everything operated like MIX these days!

I have had mix pharmacy for some time for my huskys pain meds. Mix pharmacy is so awesome when getting her pain meds done fast. Always so nice. Thank you for being so quick for my furbaby. You guys are truly amazing!❤

Forcing my cat to take her daily pills was damaging both our relationship and my flesh. Luckily Mix has been compounding it into a liquid form that is much easier to get her to take. She still hates but it's a much better (and safer) experience for both of us! Also reasonably priced.

4/20/23 Update: My clinic is going to reimburse me for the Rx. Despite the pharmacy's response, I am still quite angry at the way I was treated on the phone. The fact of the matter is, you could choose to help the customer, even if it does mean losing a little money, but instead you spoke to me in a shaming way and that's not okay. Just because your associate didn't make notes in the system, doesn't make me wrong. It means they neither listened nor did their job. I was going to raise my rating from a one to a three because the other employees have been great, but honestly, I feel the owner's response proves they only care about money and not the people. They couldn't have refunded, or met me halfway, because they own the business, but they choose not to.Original Review:There was a point where I would highly recommend Mix Pharmacy as they are generally quite prompt with prescriptions, but I no longer feel that way. Last month I called in an Rx but found out that the Rx was expired. I reached out to my Drs office, but the Dr. was away, and I was told they may not be able to fill the Rx before I left for vacation in a week. I made it very clear to the pharmacy and the Dr. office that I needed the Rx before the 13th. I messaged them several times in the forum, trying to get this Rx taken care of.I corresponded with the pharmacy three different times. Every time I said I needed the Rx before the 13th. The last day I spoke to them (Friday March 10th at 3:17pm) I was told that they faxed my Rx request in on Tuesday that week but hadn't heard back. I stated that it did not look like the Rx would be coming in on time and that I was going to have to go a different route and find a replacement. The gentleman I spoke to never made a note of this in my file and when I got home from Mexico two weeks later, I find out that on the 16th they charged me for three months of the Rx. The crazy thing is, after I spoke to the pharmacy, I sent a message at 3:36pm to my Drs office and told them I was canceling my future appointment and going with a different Drs office since they couldn't fill my Rx before March 13th and because it's a 45-minute drive to get to them anyway. I then promptly canceled my future appointment. On the 16th, the Dr, for whatever reason, sent the Rx in to the pharmacy anyway.I spoke to a manager, and she informed me that there was no note stating that I wanted to cancel. The thing is, it’s up to them if they want to help me out or not and they are choosing not to, which is really awful customer service. She basically told me it was my fault and that I should go back to the Dr. who sent in the Rx and see if they will reimburse me. I shouldn’t have to do that. She made it very clear that she feels it wasn’t their fault or their problem. I don’t care if you are a family business, everyone knows in business that things happen. Not once during our conversation did I feel like she cared about my situation. They are choosing to be uncompassionate. I don’t want to do business with a pharmacy like that. Then again, pharmacies tend to have a reputation for being all about the money.If you ever go through Mix Pharmacy with an Rx, you must be VERY clear about what you want. If you only want one month filled, tell them that and ask them if they wrote it down, because they will come back and say they don’t have a note of it when they fill three months and charge you for it. If you are canceling your Rx, you must say very specifically, I am canceling my Rx since it will not be in by the date of which I told you multiple times that I need it by. Then perhaps you won’t have a need for your Rx provider to show compassion.

We have been using Mix Pharmacy for about one year now. The Rx is for my son who has special needs and I have found that they have always been helpful, responsive, and my son's Rx gets shipped to our house within two days after I get an email that they have filled it. It helps me to have them as a regular pharmacy who can be there to help us out. Thank you to all the kind staff! You are very appreciated!Noreen Flory

I've been using Mix since I moved here 7 years ago. I am delighted with their compound medications and service. They are very responsive and will ship directly to my home for just a nominal postage charge. Refills are easy to order on their website. I am a highly satisfied customer!

There are numerous compounding pharmacies but Mix has been far superior in every way possible--fantastic customer service, friendly/knowledgeable staff, exceptional quality and packaging of medications, auto-ship refills, and an option for overnight shipping (critical for where we live). My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. Thank you!!

I was recently referred to Mix Pharmacy for a prescription for my cat and I couldn't be more satisfied! Excellent customer service, very competent, caring, professional staff. Since my cat had been having issues for some time the staff went above and beyond to get me the initial prescription within 1-2 days. I then wanted to get some vitamins for myself and Elizabeth went above and beyond to help me order them online. Customer service is so important to me; I would give 10 stars if I could.

MIX pharmacy is the BEST! Competent and caring people. Laura, the compounding pharmacist, just spent 10 minutes with me on the phone. She found an online solution for me that didn't require a prescription or a compounding pharmacy. Thank you!

If you have a special request, best to call it in rather than use the online form. My comments asking for two smaller tubes rather than one large tube were not visible to the person filling the order and it was sent out disregarding the request.
