I have had mixed experiences with this postal center. The building is a wonderful historical landmark and i have had some excellent customer service experiences here. However, one clerk recently was quite rude. I had sent some 40 envelopes without issue at this location in the way I was instructed by 2 separate clerks, yet, when I needed to send one more that was the exact same was the others, this clerk was incredibly rude and wanted to charge me triple what I paid for the others. She said things like "you can just takes this somewhere else then," and "Well you can read the rules right here," (accompanied by exaggerated gestures implying I had not heard and understood her explanation and was simply asking why the policy suddenly applied to this one envelope rather than the other 40 I had already sent). Some people there are super kind and helpful, but this one clerk was just very rude. It seemed like she was maybe a manager of sorts. Either way, was a very frustrating experience.

Highly rude and made comments which are known to be false about postal operations because they don't want to deal with prepaid envelopes and postage. Every time I came in with one she was unbelievably rude and then wouldn't sell me a stamp, even though it was not for the prepaid, couldn't accept she had made a mistake, she would rather fight the battle than own up to her mistake. No customer service at all. Horrible place

I am unsure of why every single time I have came to this location the same 2 clerks gave me a hard time and are extremely rude. Claimed that my package label was wrong several times, every single time I’ve drove to the another USPS location or nearby locally own Post Office and they accept it with no issue. Also kept making strange unnecessary comments like “looks like your package might fall apart before it even gets out of here”. They also broke policy by accepting one of my packages and claiming that the label is wrong so she does not want to “put her name on it”, so she refused to print me a receipt even though I need it for tax purposes and evidence as shipment for my transaction… as far as I know they should have just refused that package? Now I have no idea where it is as it hasn’t been scanned in. Really disappointed with the service gave it multiple tries. I will say there is one younger clerk that is very kind and helpful.

I enjoy going to this location. They’re always stocked with what I need, and the staff are helpful and kind. And I love that they had an assortment of stamps with some really cool choices.

I have long admired this building, its history, and how well it serves the local community. I'm glad the decision was made in 1935 to give it today's central location near the public space and facing the central bridge. Fortunately, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Place so its presence will be kept.Staff were most helpful when I stopped in there in this morning for stamps and sharing a bit of the building’s history. I can only image being proud to work in it each day. When I asked for the "rowing" stamps, the lady kindly showed me a whole book of options. I love seeing the old mailbox station and high arching windows inside. Its presence contributes significantly to downtown Northfield and is very important in it role of service to the town and area residents. I know several of the local business owners who also value it presence and help in delivering packages and mail faithfully. I highly value our US postal service and hope it gain regain better funding.I appreciate that the grounds are always well kept and that it is easy to park near the building. Come snow and ice, the sidewalks and steps are consistently well maintained. That means a lot. During summer, I’ve packed a picnic and we enjoy sitting nearby to enjoy its ambiance. Area residents can pick up ice cream cone or something from the popcorn wagon when its open. And, thankfully, now we also have the Cottage Tea Shop & Fare just across the street. This post office building also adds a lot of historical presence during public gathering in the center. My thanks for our faithful mail clerks and delivery persons!

Use UPS or FedEx if you’re trying the ship anything. This location will try to overcharge you.

Doesn't even know their own rules and will make you return after looking them up.

Why is it that you guys so often mark my packages delivered, but they are not here? If I could choose never to get things shipped through the US postal service, I would. This is getting old; Especially when I'm waiting on parts. I think it's time the US postal service gets shut down. It is very frustrating that my tax dollars are funding this.

had a package delivered today from Amazon was told it was delivered and put in my mailbox but when I checked the mailbox I did not see it there or a key to open the bigger mailbox it took me calling the main office and my landlord for the key to appear then when I get a call back from the office the mail carrier tries to make it seem like there was no mistake and I was the crazy one and didn’t see the key.
