I totally understand that if you're past close it's annoying when customers walk in at the last second. I walked up to the cvs pharmacy at 7:02 tonight, filthy from my construction job. I literally sped home on my hour and a half drive to try to get here in time because it was the first day I had off early in weeks and I absolutely cannot let my prescription expire, because I need it for my well-being at work and I can't mail it. I heard an older lady behind the counter say "it's 7:02" to her coworkers when she saw me. She then looked at me and sternly said "we're closed." I looked at her and apologized and asked if there was any way I could get my prescription filled, for it was my first "early" day in weeks. She looked at the head pharmacist who didn't say anything. Finally I just said you know what forget it. I started walking away and heard the window shutters close behind me. If that lady ever reads this, or the head pharmacist, I hope next time you can show even the tiniest bit more empathy to someone clearly struggling/ needing to catch a break. I'm glad I was able to spare you 2 minutes of getting my prescription filled tonight.

I don't spend much time in the city but this location is solid. Grocery and everything else you may need is at this location. Parking can be a bit chaotic with only a one sided entrance. There's a lot of parking but the majority wants to park by the door (common) Give people grace because it's the only Target nearby. Big space and the inventory seems solid, I didn't see empty shelves. Staff were friendly. Great areas for kids to enjoy themselves. The kid(s) area seems to be bigger than usual. Books, toys, activities.... etc A kid can enjoy themselves throughly. Checking out can be a great ordeal. Not sure on the staffing ratio but the registers all had lines and no matter where you walked, you had to wait to checkout. That gives you a picture of what it can be on your visit. I came here more than once and it always seem to be busy so this my be a stop you want to make an hour before close. Let me know if you had a different experience.

This place is really decent with great customer service and deserves more than three stars. Ok so yeah a lot of their stuff is over priced like clothes and some electronics but it seems like the other half of their inventory is fair. It's an ideal place to get essential necessities like towels, shampoo, razors, pizza, granola bars, and deodorant for instance. You just have to be careful in there because it will suck the money from your soul if you procrastinate in there too long.

I really like this target. The people are really nice and it's the biggest chain store in northfield, then Walgreens and dollar tree, but still. It's convenient for us college students at St. Olaf and Carleton. But it's extremely limited. They have a tiny section for Afro hair and two aisles for euro hair. Please take us into consideration a little more and don't limit us to a corner.

Placed a 2 hour order and 2 days later still had not received an email saying my order was ready. I called the store and apparently the printer was out of order and had been since before I even placed my order. They were not apologetic and told me to cancel the order online and there was nothing they could do about it. Horrible customer service. How can there not be a way to let people know their order won’t be ready in time if you already know your machine is broken?

Great store. They always have what I need and staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I really like the option of ordering something online, then being able to pick it up in an hour or two. Returns are no problem. And I love the automatic 5% off when using the Target card.

Surprised to see some other comments thinking the store understaffed. I think it is chronically OVERstaffed, and under supervised. Every time I am there, there are five or six young employees congregating somewhere in the store, usually in the cosmetics aisles, just shooting the breeze while the registers are usually UNDER staffed. I was upset to hear a young man and woman employee make snide remarks about a woman's clothes the other day. Obviously no one is supervising there, no need to have half the employees just milling around chatting it up and one or two cashiers.

This store needs far more staff than it has. Anytime I'm in there only 1-3 registers are open. The aisles are often lined with boxes, u-boats and other vehicles weighed down with stock, and not enough people to get it all done. I can't imagine what a circus the back room is. They are un-attentive with keeping their trading-card section stocked and "recent" (that is, carrying the most recent sets of Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, etc.).... or someone is just coming and buying all of them every time, but I find it unlikely. There is a section in the back that changes according to the season (College Moving-In time, Christmas, Halloween, new years, etc.) But it seems like a lost cause. If you cannot upkeep your store on a constant basis, or hire a few more folks to get your product to the shelves, then you don't need to be doing fancy stuff like this. Their PC games section has been shrinking over the past year, and even their game-time cards (Warcraft, Guild Wars, Wizard 101) are growing more scarce. I'm afraid I'm going to turn around and find it all gone to make even MORE room for their booming trade in Skylanders and Disney Infinity characters, which take up a third of the darn game section now. This store needs a manager who has the will to hire the number of hands needed to run the store correctly, and not have it be an understaffed mess 24/7.

I love going to Target, it is by far my favorite department store. They have groceries and even fresh produce now! Target also has clothes and home accessories. It is a very nice place to shop!
