I went in today to have my head shaved after losing most of my hair to chemo. Last weekend I had tried to go to another barber in the area but they turned me away without so much as looking at me.
I was treated with respect and compassion at Bakenwood! I will definitely return when my hair grows back!

Just got the best haircut of my life from Maura. Perfect shape, perfect style for my face and hair type and it looks great from morning til night with no messing around. It's not my first cut from Maura but the best one yet. If you want to spend your hair budget on unpretentious, topnotch stylists rather than expensive fussy surroundings, BakkenWood is the place to go.

I went here a year ago for my wedding hair, and always meant to give them a five star review. Well today I went to another appointment, and had Maura again. It was absolutely fabulous. Both times I showed her Pinterest ideas of what I was thinking about, and she brought my ideas to life. I loved my wedding hair, and today she colored and cut it and it looks amazing. Aside from a quality job, she remembered things I told her about my life a year ago! Absolutely amazing place to go to, I wouldn’t go anywhere else having visited this studio.

I visited the the salon today for the first time. Originally I was scheduled for a haircut and highlights but after evaluating my hair's condition Maura determined that right now my hair is too fragile to do the highlights and she didn't think I really needed them anyway. I love what she did with my hair. When I left to run errands I got so many compliments on how cute it looked. After seeing my haircut today a friend decided to make an appointment at the salon. I will definitely be back and Maura is going to be my stylist from now on.
