“The ribs here are big, juicy, tender, flavor-packed perfection. They have a ribs special on Thursdays, but I believe you can get ribs here any day of the week. They have a large assortment of side dishes, frozen meats, and even dog bones. Don’t be fooled by the unsuspecting exterior, this place doesn’t mess around when it comes to good food!”

“The aroma of spiced meat when you walk into the store is amazing! There is truely a massive selection of creative brats. They have every cut of meat you can imagine. One of my friends brought Grundhofers to a bonfire and I had to get the sausages for myself.
I get a little overwhelmed by choices but the staff was super helpful in suggesting their best sellers. I'm so excited to try the gummy bear brat!”
“Great little market for meat and more; including fresh, frozen, and pantry foods. Deli counter serves Broaster chicken and sides as well as deli sandwiches and different lunch specials daily. Slushies and Bridgeman's ice cream also available. Staff was friendly and helpful so if you like to support local, give them a try!”

“I grew up on the Eastside. I know live in a southern suburb yet the ONLY meat sore i will visit is Big Steer. The staff of men are all welcoming, great prices and my latest find there is their jumbo pickles. “Service is good, but, slightly pushy.(If I'm not standing looking at checkout, I'm still shopping) frozen Meatloaf is phenomenal, and the smoked beef pot roast is very good.Many frozen food options, green bean casserole, beef stroganoff...I didn't mention the high quality cuts of meat because that can be expected at all Von Hanson's location's I've been to. Spendy...worth it.”
“We purchased a 1/4 cow in May and have been extremely pleased that we did so. The steaks all cuts have been excellent and taste wonderful. Extremely lean hamburger not even having to drain after browning and wonderful roasts. I have already recommended them to several friends and family s all that have eaten with us have been impressed.We most certainly will be purchasing from them again and have the bonus add of supporting one of our local farmers”
“Old school corner store with a good selection of basic food items. Meat counter and cold deli area really good. Neighborhood not getting any better, so lock your car. Other than that, I like to stop here often.”
