We picked up our black lab puppy named Jax tonight. The owner Phil spent over an hour with us to go over important information and shared his knowledge with us from potty training, shots, flea and tick information, when is the best time to neuter if we choose to do that, how long he should be on puppy food, and what to expect for the next couple weeks as Jax adjusts to his new home. The place was very clean and the puppies looked very healthy and happy. Diamond J was recommended to me by a coworker that purchased a puppy from him years ago. His facility is everything my coworker said it would be. If we ever get another lab Diamond J is where we will go.

I got a chocolate British lab from Phil at Diamond J last October after previously having had one from a different breeder. I am completely sold on the breed. Even though it's not very original, I named him "Rowlf the Dog" because every time I saw him all I could think of was the Muppet. Rowlf was fantastic. Sweet demeanor, smart, easy to train and eager to please, and absolutely incredible hunting instincts even as a puppy (I'm a casual grouse hunter, his instincts were way beyond those of my previous British lab). At the end of his 12-week vet visit, the vet went noticeably off script and said something much like "You can really tell a lot about a dog at this age, and you are going to be so happy with this guy." About a month ago, Rowlf died in a freak accident. I've been pretty devastated, but I will absolutely go back to Phil at Diamond J again when I'm ready for another dog.

I train up to 25 pups a year. They come from a variety of sources. The quality of the Diamond J pups on average stand up above those coming from other sources 3 to 1. Beautiful personalities, natural retrievers, soft mouths, great drive in the field, biddable, nice size for living with a family. I get reports back all the time of how they have made great family pets as well as hunting companions. Phil, the owner, is a great guy who is very attentive to making sure the right pup's personality matches the owner's needs and situation. He wants the best for both. Some customers I have met are coming back for their third and fourth Diamond J pup.

Great place to purchase a quality lab. My chocolate just turned 2 and I couldn’t be happier with his drive and demeanor. I was referred by my sister and her husband who bought a black lab and I referred my coworker who also got a chocolate. All fantastic dogs. Phil is a professional, no nonsense breeder who knows his stuff and you can tell he loves his dogs. I can respect that. Highly recommend, will be back! A+

We just got our first dog from Phil at Diamond J. He came highly recommended from experienced dog owner friends who also purchased a lab from him.I was very impressed with the experience. Phil was responsive over text and phone, easy to get scheduled, and was a straight shooter. As a first time dog owner, I was pretty worried about everything from feeding to transportation to routines, training et al. He offered a lot of information and took the time to answer all my questions before I left the premises. he was also really helpful in finding the right match of temperament for our pup and our family.Overall - great experience and we are already talking about adding a second one next year, hopefully from Diamond J again.

My husband and have had absolutely nothing but a positive experience with Phil and his dogs at Diamond J British Labs. Our dogs are highly skilled hunting dogs, they have been retrieving birds since they were five months old, but most importantly they are loving,sweet, beautiful family members. Thank you, Phil. Our puppy just turned a year and we couldn't be happier! Tons of drive and the perfect temperament for a family dog!! He returned his first duck at 7 months and has not skipped a beat!! Best part is he listens and retrieves for anyone!
