1823 Old Hwy 8 NW, New Brighton“Very much surprised when I walked in the store and there was so much space, so many items. Little bit of everything here. Very clean and organized store.Bonus is that they have cats laying around waiting for you to pet them and give them some love.”
“**Update:The manager Angie called me up and was very apologetic and friendly. A company who is willing to actually follow through and see why their customers are upset that’s pretty rare and awesome. She explained why their system did what it did and they’re working on it. Here’s your five stars back. **I’ve been to the store many times and I like it a lot. However I placed a large-ish delivery for the next day. 20’ flats that I didn’t have a trailer for. I got the order in before 2pm etc. a couple minutes later I get a confirmation email that says it will be a week later. I call them up they say they can still deliver the next day but the fee will be $150. Ok fine - paid it.They call me say they only have 25 and I needed 35 but they’ll deliver them for free when the additional 10 get in and said they would reverse my $150 deliver charge because it was their fault. Sweet! Here’s where I decided to leave a review.* They call again- and said they can’t deliver until 4 days from now.* if I want it tomorrow it will be $300.* and it will only be 25 of the 35 I needed. So my project was completely hosed.I just cancelled my order and I’ll try elsewhere. Be careful when you order on their website because their inventory is not live and you won’t find out until you call them.”
“1st time here. Staff was pleasant and very helpful with explaining parts I need & why I needed it. Felt like ol'school days when customer service was a priority. I will come back when needed.”
“Love Knobbery Minneapolis! Craig and Rikk are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention the amazing selection of hardware! Whether you are looking for something simple, unique, or antique you will find it there. Support a local business and get some of the most beautiful hardware at Knobbery Minneapolis!”

1620 Central Ave NE #126, Minneapolis“Awesome, friendly people here. My husband rents tools here often for home projects. They have a free section outside their door, at least on 9/13/23, they did. And they have several things for sale in the entrance too! I told my husband to buy anything he wanted - he did! The only thing I would recommend, to be changed, is to make the signage - BIGGER -... The first picture (hopefully the way Google portrays them, it'll be my first picture,) shows how small the Tool Library sign is. That'd be my only suggestion! Great parking available, many entrances available too! Check their website for varying hours!”
“Really great local hardware store. Love that they've stayed in the area and hope they continue to be in the community. Customer service is good, prices are good, and they have specialty services I didn't even know existed.Needed to get 15 different storm windows built to fit in the frames missing windows. Was able to bring in the frames or existing windows that were an exact match to what I needed and they got it done quick and at a good price. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!”
“I went in here today stressed out needing something simple as a new homeowner and was greeted so warmly it brought tears to my eyes. Each member of the staff went above and beyond to help me out and was so friendly. They truly embody what customer service should be.”
“Family-owned and operated and going 70 years strong. There is a reason for that, because they treat their customers like family. It hurts me to know that they suffer from rampant theft and the drug-addicted take over of the area. Thanks to their crazy city council that doesn't protect the people, and leaves an entire police precinct abandoned. I love places like this. Keep up the great work, keep up the awareness. And hopefully locals will come around and vote sanity back into this neighborhood and great city.”
“Agree whole heartedly with other positive reviews. Their showroom is great with several brands to see. Pro Deck Supply was prompt in their communication, provided good advice and was responsive to questions. They inspected our decking and did not not send it out if there were flaws. The big box stores will not do this. We would recommend using them to our friends.”
“Need something specific? Need it quick? The staff waiting as you enter the store will help you find what you need. Yes, I go to the big-box stores, but when I need to be sure they'll have it, I visit Ace. Their hardware section is much more complete. When others are out of stock, I've found it here.”
“Great guys here and where I source my CO2 for my Sodastream. I get the 20lb tanks which last a year or so. You need a good adapter (don't get cheap paint all gun housing ones they smell and taste awful and rupture)”
“Always loved this for any home stuff I need and this is where I get my birdseed and garden supplies. Incredibly helpful staff, decent prices on plants and soil. Give this local place your money vs any big box store. They are so customer service forward, they'll help you find whatever you need and offer their knowledge if you need it. Kudos!”
“I had such an amazing experience at this store!! I was buying latch straps ahead of a road trip to the North Shore and Andy took the time to demo the latch strap. Once I got home I still couldn’t figure it out so I ended up going back to the store to see if they could help. Another gentleman took the time to help me attach the latch straps to my carrier hitch IN THE POURING RAIN. Seriously so grateful for their help and customer service. Will definitely be back!!”
“I had to do some resin casting for a project I am working on, and wasn't sure exactly what would be the best product, so I tried out sterling. I was so impressed with the knowledge, customer service and price. My project is coming out great and it is in a very large part from the help I received! I will be returning from now on rather than ordering my supplies online like I have been doing.”
“I just went for a heavy duty drain cleaner and they had some pretty good stuff there. It really looked like they had a just about anything anybody would want for do it yourself household repairs snow removal Salt for your sidewalks and steps look like anything anybody could ever need there”
“Great service, had some keys made (which worked perfectly). I will be back, especially since I noticed they have a great supply of hardware, nuts, screws, bolts and washers.”
“My dishwasher hose had a leak in it and I wanted to avoid a full replacement if I could. I stopped in at Frattallone’s and Derek was incredibly helpful showing me what things I would need to finish the job. Dishwasher is now operational with no leaks! Love having this level of service in the neighborhood!”
“I needed to repair a table leg (so the table would be useable again) and they were incredibly helpful, walking me through what I needed and how to do it. Wasn't sure this repair was possible but they helped me through it.”

2536 Marshall St NE, Minneapolis“Jake is awesome. Told him im building a shed said he needed a couple days to get things bid up and I told him I was on a tight time frame and needed numbers back sooner than later. He said he would get it done. I appreciate the quick turn and service.
Thanks Jake”
“Very helpful, but beware of the electronic mouse deterrent because they do not work in the least bit! Let's see if they allow me to return it with my recipt now though....hmmm... check back to see if they do? My review will reflect that transaction!Don't forget to like, share, or thumbs up if you've enjoyed this free, nonbiased, unpaid for independent review. Thanks have a great day!”
“Joe and Mark are awesome and Settergren's of Linden Hills goes out of their way to be helpful with every task at hand. There is a vast selection of everything I need and the employees are helpful. Love my regular hardware store!”
“In and out, no problems. Staff is there and helpful. Always sales going on. I'm a professional mechanic, and this place is a go-to for last-minute fixes or replacement tools. Their icon brand, I trust, as much, if not more than, any other major tool provider, and they are cheaper because you don't pay for them to come to you. Keep your options open, and look here first. Yes, they have cheap stuff. Don't overlook it all because they have a lot of professional based tools.”
“Super helpful people there to help you troubleshoot your problems.Service is definitely five star. The place is smaller and might not have everything you need in a hardware store, but you can get 80 to 90% of what you need. And like smaller hardware stores. They really excel at services or recommendations for a homeowner. I believe they cut glass and work on window and door screens as well.”
8AM - 5:30PM
1110 Rice St, St Paul“I can't believe how much stuff they pack in there and still manage to keep it clean and organized. I've never left without getting exactly what I needed sometimes even something better than what I thought I needed, it pays to have such a great helpful staff.”
8AM - 7PM
10809 University Ave NE, Blaine“This is much like the old fashioned hardware store. The aisles are much closer together than a big box store. They are packing a huge amount of products and services into a smaller area. Their employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. The part I like best is that I can walk into the store with a bolt or screw and I can get help finding the exact match. Then I can just buy as many as I need, rather than a whole box.”

180 Plato Blvd, St Paul“This place is the best, I take my lawnmower here they do a great job fixing it and are so helpful with everything else too. It’s great to have a local hardware store and to give my business to the locals, highly recommend these guys!”
“After frustrated searches for parts and help at Home Depot and Menards, I went to Gopher Plumbing Supply where Max went out of his way to help me with both know-how and parts. I left feeling both very lucky and impressed. Thanks Max!”

789 Raymond Ave, St Paul“Needed some glass cut for a small repair. It was affordable, and taken care of quickly (I was able to pick it up a couple hours later).I know people love big box stores, but don't undervalue your neighborhood hardware store. This place is a treasure”
“They always have what I need. This time it was furnace filters and indoor florescent lights, along with service people who refuse to let me buy "wrong." I might pay a tad bit more, but I'm only making one trip, and that's because they make sure I head to the register with the right item. Jim always steers me right and does it with a smile. Been my hardware store since 1989.”
