We love CKA Mounds View for both of our boys! I’m always so blown away by the amount of creative activities and outdoor time that our boys get to participate in. The staff is warm and inviting, and for the first time in 3 years of daycare, our boys are excited to go into their classrooms without any tears! It puts my mind at ease knowing my boys are receiving the best possible care while my husband and I are working. Would highly recommend to any family looking for quality care for their littles.

One of the best daycares/preschool in Moundsview. The director is so accommodating and welcoming. The staff is so good with my little girl. She always comes home happy and excited about the day. I love their app and the updates the do during the days. Also they are very informative if something happens at school or there's an injury they report it right away. Highly recommend this academy there is none better. Such a safe environment, friendly, welcoming environment for kids!

Our older son started at CKA when he was 16 weeks old. The thing that convinced us that he'd be ok here was that the lead teacher in the infant room has worked here for more than 15 years. As we had hoped, Ms. Joyce is absolutely wonderful and so good with the babies. We know our younger son will be in good hands when he starts attending in a few months. One other thing we love about CKA is how everyone knows our child - not just the teachers in his room, but when we're walking out of the building at pickup time, any staff member who passes us in the hall says hi to him by name. It makes us feel like he's part of a community and that the staff really know him and care about him.

My son goes to CKA Mounds View and absolutely loves it. The teachers & staff are so dedicated to the kids and we love the balance of play & education they provide. My wife and I appreciate receiving updates throughout the day through the app so we always know what he's up to. I can't imagine a better experience for our little guy -- we recommend CKA Mounds View to everyone we know!

The Mounds View Community Center is another great facility to hold your events like weddings (including receptions), graduation parties, anniversaries birthday parties and all kinds of celebrations. The hall is huge if they remove the partitions. You can rent only a small part as well. The location is easy to find just off County Rd 10 (Mounds View Blvd) and there are a lot of parking spaces including overflow at Walgreens and city Hall just across the street especially on weekends abs evenings. A lot of Africans use this facility. The first time I used it was 13 years ago to host the 10th birthday party for my daughter. She’s grown now and in medical school but she still has fun memories from that event. Check it out.

We started taking our oldest to Creative Kids Academy in May 2019 and instantly loved the connection and passion we saw the staff have for caring for kids. Our second started in the infant room September 2021.We have been consistently impressed with the variety of activities that help engage the kids, build new skills and master movements or language. The meals provided for the kids help them explore food items we may not have often at home, but being around other kids helps new food seem less scary. The center uses a mobile app for checking in and out. We love the real-time updates about the day, including meal times, naps, playtime, diapers, and photos of the day. It provides a level of comfort and open lines of quick communication with the staff caring for the kids.Great events we’ve been able to enjoy as a family to meet the staff and other families, include: picture day, back to school party, holiday pageant/sing along, among others.Through the pandemic, we have been extremely impressed with the actions taken to keep everyone safe and healthy, and mostly, the daycare center open for working families. We recommend this facility to neighbors and area friends. Creative Kids Academy Mounds View and the staff have been amazing to work with over the last 2+ years and we can’t wait for more growth and engagement with our kids.

Seems like they are short staffed. Never even get a hello when my daughter and i are passing by staff or coming and going, the only friendly person there is Alex. He is awesome. But had to switch my daughter back to Creative Kids Lexington because the vibes are just bad here. I suggest you guys put smiles on your faces and turn some lights on. Everytime i come in after work it seems like im walking through a jail.. the staff are also always so busy talking to eachother that they werent paying any attention to the children when i sat and watched for a good 20mins one day.

Some staff was loving and caring (hence the extra star) and bonded with my children, however administrative staff was challenging. My child developed significant behavior issues because the staff was often favoring their own children who attended at the same time over kids whose parents did not work at the center. Staff children were rarely held accountable and tended to bully other kids. I agree with the previous reviewer regarding the director. She is very unprofessional, does not want to take accountability for issues and tends to blame the child or parent. J's demeanor is very passive aggressive and unpleasant, she is slow to respond to issues from parents. There is very little diversity among staff and children. I've seen kids exclude other children because of their skin color and staff refusing to address issues of racism among children. I don't recommend it.

We have two kids enrolled and have been with this center for over a year. We have nothing but good things to say. They have been amazing with both children and are great partners for us. Our son comes home with the most interesting things they learned in class each day! Thank you, CKA!

After being very satisfied with having my first child go here and succeed I decided to send my second child as well. Same results. Both of my children seem ahead of the curve. Neither have any reservations of being dropped off and my oldest always has good things to say when he is picked up. He's been enrolled for over three years now and after moving up to his fourth room and we've never had any problems with any of the staff; this includes all aides, teachers, and directors. There are many activities that CKA does that include the whole family, for example, the week of the young child and other holiday pageants that my wife and I are encouraged to attend and interact with. The staff really make it fun for the children and parents alike. I am looking forward for my oldest to move up so he can enjoy the field trips that the school age class go on. If my wife and I have another child I would absolutely send him/her here as well with no reservations whatsoever about the care that would be provided.Sully Armstrong

My experience with CKA so far...Both of my children attend this facility, neither one of them have ever been in childcare prior to coming to CKA and let me just say that this place has done an outstanding job with my kids. The first week was especially hard on my youngest seeing as he had been home with me for so long but the staff here at CKA went above and beyond to comfort him and make him feel welcome and part of the preschool Classroom. Not only did they help my son transition into child care but they also helped me, the staff was so patient, understanding, comforting and accommodating when we both were having a hard time. It’s been almost a year since they’ve started and both my children have grown and learned so much.My son, who was pretty shy and reserved when he started, now participates in all CKA has to offer, from yoga to Spanish and all in between. He loves to tell me about his day and what Him and his friends learned. My oldest is in school age and was a little nervous to start as well but once she met her teacher, she felt like she belonged. She loves to see her friends from school during the summer while she attends the awesome summer program CKA provides for school age. She’s gone on so many fun and educational field trips and is thrilled to spend her summer in the same building as her brother. I can’t thank the staff enough for making this such a positive part of our Lives.

Be very careful and do your homework before sending your children here. Some of the teachers are very good. Some are lazy and whiny. We experienced a ton of drama, led by the director. The director had no idea what she was doing or how to handle adult conversations. The place was a mess. And their way to resolve was to tell us on a Thursday (via email) that Friday would be our kids last day. Very unprofessional. Our last week alone had a huge bruise found at night without any incident report or acknowledgement. And a daily sheet clearly showing diaper changes 3-4 hours apart and demand to refrain from onesies because they couldn't change diapers more frequently with the kids in onesies. I can't believe this place is still allowed to stay open.

I have my 3 kids in this child care, and I feel like it is a great place for anyone. I have a 5 month old infant, a 3 year old pre-schooler and a school ager. They all love it and I feel like it is a great place for us being a latin family. They treat everyone equally and with lots of love. Also i get alomg very well with the directors and they are very loving to all children my kids love them very much.

My daughter's have been going here for a little over a year now and they have been so great. My oldest was having problems behavioral wise at the other place she was at and has no issues here because they're so consistent and did wonders with her. She has turned into such a wonderful young lady and I feel they had a big part of that.
