Simply misleading. I called and asked what it cost to have it checked out, they said nothing. When I tried to leave with my vehicle I was charged $60. Not good business. Update. I was NEVER told about any charger until I tried leaving because I couldn't afford the repair at the time. Your protocol was not followed and I'm out $60! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED WHEN I ASKED WHAT IT WOULD COST TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT! Instead Trent said nothing!, Not, nothing unless you don't get the repair done in concurrence with the inspection! It's that simple really. I told Trent it didn't seem right and he suggested I might get a credit on a future repair I might need, but not this one even if I had the work done by them. In closing, I simply wasn't made aware of ANY charges and explicitly told the contrary until I asked for my keys. I had all intensions of getting the work done there, just couldn't afford it at the moment. That left a sour taste in my mouth........

I’ve been going here for a real long time but recently they’ve rubbed me the wrong way with their work. Got a radiator replacement, they didn’t replace the coolant housing cap so it blew coolant twice until I found the problem, now after I fixed that it still occasionally overheats and dumps coolant under the engine bay. Not to mention they threw away/lost EVERY push-pin that holds the plastic/decorative shield over the radiator so now it’s just loose.
I used to love em, recommend them to everyone and swear up the wall that they’re the best around. Now I feel like I shouldn’t even bring it to them to make it right.

"Shop feels like #home." They have that extra "it" factor. From the initial moment of contact all the way to paying for the services rendered...this shop is the place. If your child is here for #college, if you are from out of town, big fix or maintenance, not well versed in mechanic talk, this is the place. They tell you what needs to be done now, what can wait, and they are sure it's good enough for their own kids to drive away in. Customer for over 10 years now. Carry a couple cards w/me in case anyone needs a repair shop. If the community gave out awards for best auto repair shop this place is it. They'll get your car towed in, give updates, fix it properly, they don't price gouge you and they explain what they will do and do it!Services: Electrical repair

Was recommended by some locals to reach out to Dave and Ace for a vehicle repair (alternator) as we were passing through Moorhead for a road-trip vacation to Yellowstone. Dave and his mechanics squeezed us in and had us on our way before end of day. Moorhead is lucky to have this reputable family run auto repair shop in town! When your wheel starts screeching like a cat in a sack and your naïve attempts to fix it with trials of WD-40, pressure washing and banging on it with a rubber mallet unsurprisingly fail--- you need a reliable, honest and professional auto shop.Let’s put extra emphasis on the “honest “part because if you tried all that nonsense then you are like me; and you clearly know nothing about vehicle mechanics and you don’t want to get hosed on repair costs from some unscrupulous shop owner.Never fear – Dave & Jenny at Ace Auto will take fantastic care of you. The team at Ace got my vehicle in in just a couple days, replaced my break pads in less than 1 dad and had excellent communication throughout.Oh--- and my total bill was about HALF what I was quoted from another multi-location auto shop in the area.10/10--- would recommend Ace Auto to anyone and I will definitely be a repeat customer -----and in future will reserve my WD-40 for squeaky hinges and such.Service: General repairs & maintenance
