After traveling from Florida back home to Minnesota, I called to check pricing after looking online seeing that they were “pet friendly”, the man at the front desk notified me that they sell their rooms to 3rd party booking sites, so I continued to book on there since it was significantly cheaper than what the hotel pricing was. After booking it I waited in the lobby for about 20min while the man at the front desk continued to have small talk with the lady in front. I had a friend with a two week old new born baby in the vehicle dropping me off since I had just flew in, she asked to use the restroom and he yelled at her saying there’s no public restrooms. After I showed him my booking I made online he asked me who would be staying, I stated myself and my cat and he gave me the dirtiest look and said we don’t allow pets, if you read that online it’s completely wrong. I said that’s false advertisement and he told me to sue his company. After leaving he tried to charge me full price, (even though I cancelled the reservation). Thank God for that booking website, and actual customer service. Never in my life have I been treated with such blatant disrespect. Don’t waste your money here, go to the best western or any other hotel in the area !!Noteworthy details: Staff is rude and disrespectful

This is a basic hotel with nothing fancy. Very small bathroom with no hangers for towels. Sink is cracked with over 10 in. long crack. Very minimum breakfast. Not a place you would want to stay a few days. At least the price was fairly low, with a Veteran Discount.

The hotel was absolutely ok. I had lots of fun and many jokes with the guys in the reception.Breakfast was nothing advanced, but at least you had something in your belly.The location was close to the highway and some fast food restaurants, so a bit noisy. But over all very nice visit.

Nice basic Hotel,, Clean room ,bed was comfortable enough. Great and friendly check-in. I said I was going to eat and the front desk suggested the VFW next door for their Broasted Chicken.Wasn't able to try the breakfast as I checked out early. Would definitely stay again.

No coffee makers in the rooms. The price was great, though, for a holiday weekend. The entrance and exit with taco bell is HORRIBLE. My out of town guests will not return.

Found this to be the cheapest rates and now I know why. Room was gross!! Comforter was full of stains along with everything else. The easy chair was so gross I never even sat on it. On top of that, they backed out of or agreement for checking out time. This is definitely the DIVE of Monticello. I won't ever be back.

They don't honor the pricing as seen in the discription ($59.00). The prices are only as seen if you book it through one of the places you see listed. They wanted to charge $79 . Thieves.

It IS an older motel, but they do keep things clean and staff is great. Price is also great for a room to rest.

The room was clean. But could use some updating. Desk attendant was friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again.
