I have taken pole classes with both Jamie and Tasha, flexibility with Elyce and body shop with Angela and have loved all of the classes and instructors. Everyone is so nice, supportive, and encouraging and that goes for the students/clients as well.

BE AWARE: If you sign up for a class, there is a solid chance it will be cancelled a few hours before the class starts. I wish I looked at prior week schedules to see how many classes they cancel per week before booking.I just thought I’d note a couple issues I have with their business practices, because they seem pretty easily resolvable:1) The website says “Our bungee classes are extremely popular and have been known to fill up MONTHS in advanced” … me and a friend signed up for beginner bungee TWICE, both “early” and we were cancelled on both times—apparently due to less than 3 people being enrolled (day-about 2.5-4 hours before start time), meaning not even ONE other person signed up for either class. If this is going to be your practice, you should list on the schedule something like “2 of 12 spots filled” or “2 currently enrolled” or SOMETHING to indicate to customers if the class will be happening. I had a friend come down from St. Cloud to try this class with me and we would’ve never signed up had we known we’d be cancelled on twice. Another option would be to offer fewer instances of classes with lower enrollments. Offering two beginner bungee classes a week and regularly cancelling one of them doesn’t seem efficient/effective for anyone.2) Requiring people to pay for a class up front and holding onto their money when you cancel classes, while enforcing a 12-hour cancellation notice for customers while you have a cancellation policy for yourself for only 2 hours doesn’t seem fair with classes regularly being cancelled. Either refund the money after a cancelled class, require payment day-of AND/or give more notice when cancelling classes. At this point my friend and I are no longer interested in trying again until these issues are resolved. We were really excited to try a bungee fitness class after seeing a video of one and finding The Aviary offers them in MN, but It’s extremely frustrating making two weekends worth of plans with each other so we are able attend a Sunday 1pm beginner bungee class, only to be cancelled on both times. Increased my rating to 3 stars since they did issue refunds to both of us.

I've been taking classes at The Aviary for two months, and it has been such a good experience! The instructors are wonderful and I've always felt accepted, encouraged, and challenged. I would definitely encourage anyone who is considering trying a class to sign up and do it!

I recently completed The Aviary’s Hammock Beginner Series, and it has been an amazing experience. I'm a complete beginner in this. With AJ Jacobson as my instructor, I’ve been guided on a transformative aerial yoga journey. The studio is clean and modern, and classes start on time. Although parking in front can be limited, there are convenient options nearby. What sets The Aviary apart is their variety of offerings. After the Hammock series, I’m excited to sign up for the Fly Fit I program and maybe even try the Pole Dance Beginner Series. They have a lot of interesting options to explore. The studio fosters a vibrant and inclusive community, providing diverse and engaging classes. It’s a place where I feel like I can continue pushing boundaries and trying new things.I highly recommend The Aviary to anyone seeking an diverse aerial yoga journey.

A group of friends and I did a private silk class for a friends birthday. The class was great and so much fun. We had a total of like 10 people and they could accommodate us perfectly. The women teaching the class were super friendly and really knowledge. Showed us like 10 different aerial moves to do, from hanging up side down to somewhat intricate transitions.Forewarning be prepared to be sore then next couple days!!Highly recommend!! It was super fun!

I have been going to The Aviary since 2016 and I love it. Since the pandemic I have gone less consistently, but every time I come back no matter how long I've been away I feel welcome and safe. They are welcoming of all bodies, genders, identities, ages and of wherever you are on your aerial journey. Jamie (owner and instructor) is incredibly nurturing and supportive! And the instructors are wonderful - shout out to Natalie! This is a place where you can get strong, do cool things, and laugh while doing it. For those who've never set foot in a silk hammock (which was me when I started) to all the way to super advanced, I wholeheartedly recommend The Aviary!

I don’t even know where to begin on how amazing the aviary is. The instructors are absolutely fabulous and you can tell they are very passionate and love to teach others. I have taken a variety of classes and I have loved every single one. Hands down this is one of my favorite places to go and I would highly recommend any of their instructors and classes. I’ve lately been taking intro to pole classes on Saturday mornings and it is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The aviary is also a very positive and accepting environment!
