Two times in the past fifteen years I have suffered chronic sports injuries.First from Plantar fasciitis in both feet while playing tennis. And then in the last three years I developed tennis elbow that shut me down from playing tennis for two years.On round one with the Plantar fasciitis I consulted with Dr. John Odom. Before this I had seen several other practitioners to resolve the issue. None were successful. We did a combination of shots and graston physical therapy. John Edwards the Physical therapist at the time did an unbelievable job. Within six months I was back playing tennis. The stretches and techniques were invaluable and I still use them today. I could never gotten back on the courts without this care from Dr. Odom.Fast forward 12 years. I had developed a really bad case of tennis elbow. I had tried two cortisone shots and one platelet injection. The elbow did not respond. Then the light bulb went off.I called Dr. Odom's office and made an appointment with him. He reviewed all of my notes from the previous two years. He found that the first platelet injection had not been done correctly.We then redid that therapy and from there Dr. Andrew Moran took over my physical therapy. Dr. Moran is in a league of his own with his therapy. And he had a great assist from Ian Manske with the PT. Within five months they had me back playing tennis and provided me with an exercise regimen to keep the elbow healthy. And I still visit for maintenance to ensure strong health in the future.I know this review is long. But Dr. John Odom is nothing short of a miracle worker. Twice he hit home-runs with my injuries. Providing a way back to a sport I love. Odom and Health and Wellness is the best Sports medicine facility in Minnesota. And Dr. John Odom is the best in his business. And a great human being.

I found Odom Health & Wellness because I don’t like going to general care practitioners in large hospitals or clinics - I want my doc to know who I am and actually care about my health AND wellness! Love Odom Health & Wellness and everyone I have interacted with there!

Dr. Odom & team at OHW are the absolute best! They have helped me recover from spinal fusion surgery, meniscus tears and various other injuries from my very active lifestyle (52M). Long story short - it works!!! What a blessing. Dr. Odom was very compassionate, a great listener and really took his time evaluating me, I did not feel rushed!!!! I had stem cell treatment done in multiple areas and all areas are significantly better - my knees have no instability anymore or bone on bone feeling, I no longer get the swelling I would get from before when walking too much. My neck which I've lived with neck pain for so long - I just realized I don't think about it at all anymore (this is now 1 1/2 months post) and my hip is doing great and I had one area of tightness left to work on and Dr. Moran who is doing my physical therapy with me nailed it! He knew right away when I described what the feeling was and what exercises/stretches to do. I'm so pleased with the outcome and really thankful I was divinely lead to this place! I love to be active and now finally I am getting back in the game!

I've had prolotherapy injections for over 22 years (over 20,000 injections, myself). I know it better than most patients and I've received wonderful care from another local doctor. My primary prolotherapist was out of town and I thought it might be good to have a backup, so after some careful research, I chose Odom Health and Wellness to have four areas treated (that I had treated many times before). Dr. Odom is not as experienced as my normal prolotherapist but I decided to try anyways as his prices were considerably lower.Well, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. :(Dr. Odom was very kind and gentle, but it was apparent pretty quickly that he is not remotely an expert on prolotherapy and when having needles inserted into sensitive areas, it is very clear to me now that this is critical.Aside from having zero improvement or good results from his injections (both knees and elbows), there were two very bad adverse reactions to (in my opinion) some very careless actions.1) When treating my right knee, I inquired about the use of ultrasound as I hadn't had that used in conjunction in the past. He kept trying to show me where the needle was on the ultrasound by wiggling it while it was in my kneecap... that night and for the next 48 hours, I couldn't move my right knee without excruciating pain right in that area he was wiggling. This was a very careless action, in my opinion and terrifying to be unable to even lift my leg for two days afterwards.2) While treating my right elbow, he instantly truck my ulnar nerve which sent lightning type pain down my right hand, into my wrist and pinky finger and ring finger. I've had my elbows treated about 15 times before and never had this happen once. In fact, in a YouTube video on elbow prolotherapy, Dr. Hauser even explicitly states how you need to make careful measures to not hit the ulnar nerve. I yelped in pain and said, "Oh!! That hit a nerve!!" - Dr. Odom's reply: "Yup." The pain dissipated that day but then over the next 24-48 hours, it returned with a vengeance and I had nerve pain rippling into my right hand for the next 4-6 weeks. Every time I'd move my elbow or right hand, it'd send the same lightning type pain down my wrist and into my fingers. I lost all ability to be active with my right arm this summer due to this... when I called his clinic and reported this reaction, he said - "oh, it should be gone in a week". It took 4-6 weeks to go away!The lack of experience and attention to detail has confirmed I will never return to this clinic. Dr. Odom is a nice guy and he has a profitable practice, but I would never trust him to insert a needle into my body again after my experience.

Both Gretta and Ian helped me with my recovery process. They were patient and kind and answered all my questions, challenging me in just the right amounts and not pushing me too hard. Their exercises and recommendations to tweak them have been perfect for me. They are the best! I also saw Dr. Odom and he is very nice. He actually listens and makes good recommendations!

I cannot say enough about the amazing treatment I am receiving form Gretta at Odom! After visiting another well known PT facility for my frozen shoulder who gave me some stretches on a piece of paper, sent me on my way and wished me good luck, I was grateful to find Odom. I was beyond lucky to be assigned Gretta as my PT and after the first visit was relieved of some of the pain! She is amazing and the progress I make with each visit is remarkable. The other place told me I would be locked up for a year and would just have to deal with it yet in just about 2 month's time, I am doing such "mundane" things as reaching high cupboard shelves and pulling the car door closed with the affected shoulder. These are small victories.Her knowledge of the body is extraordinary. Her patience level is amazing (especially having to deal with me). She pushes you - but to a therapeutic level, never to a point of pain or discomfort.Additionally, the rest of the staff is terrific. You are always greeted warmly and they are very accommodating. Overall, it is a very pleasant atmosphere considering people are there to repair injured body parts. Highly recommend!

I have been a long distance runner for 30 years. But I've only been able to stay in the sport the last 5 years because of Odom. Odom hasn't just patched me up after injury, it has completely rebuilt me as a runner. Dr. Moran, Dr. Odom, and several others treated my IT band and hip pain and gave me the tools to strengthen my weak areas, all the while working with my busy schedule. Most recently, Odom got me back running within a matter of weeks after a surgical tendon repair, and on my way to complete my bucket list marathon, New York City in November 2022. Truly, Odom has saved my running career!!!

Six months ago I would not have been able to write this review and say....I just got off the Peleton and ROCKED my ride! Andrew, Dr Odom and all the staff at Odom Health and Welless have provided the most amazing, integrated and personally specific care that has me back in life strong again! Not only was the PRP procedure I received successful but the follow-up PT care provided new and recovery specific exercises that helped me to heal steadily and recover with integrity! So, I'm back in the saddle and back on my yoga mat. Thanks Odom Health & Wellness!

The staff at Odom helped me out big time when I was training for my first marathon. I came in with IT band issues that prevented me from running at all. They diagnosed it quickly and started me on a rehab plan right away. I was able to heal that injury and they worked with me while I continued my marathon training.They taught me exercises to strengthen specific areas related to my IT band injury and helped me with other areas that bothered me as my training progressed. They also performed a gait analyses that showed me how I might have injured myself while running and then helped me correct my running form to prevent injury in the future.The staff has a lot of experience and knowledge and taught me a lot about running form, areas to watch out for with running injuries and how to avoid them in the future. If anything else pops up for me, I'm definitely going back to Odom.

I had an amazing experience with several people at Odom Health & Wellness. I went to them with hip & glute issues that were potentially going to prevent me from a big Swiss Alps hike. Mike Wild did great intake and explanation of options, Dr Odom performed PRP therapy which fixed my issues. And Andrew Moran had me working on exactly the right PT exercises to have the strength for my 12 mile ridge hike. Thank you! Thank you!!

Awesome crew at Odom H&W!!! Came in with knee pain from a previous surgery and we decided that PRP was the best option for me. Dr. Odom and Team did outstanding work on preparing me for my injections and next steps after. Ian was amazing with helping with my exercises and strengthening up my knee before and after PRP. Thank you so much and highly recommend for anyone in need of treatment for PRP!!!

I can't say enough positive things about Odom Health & Wellness. Thier genuine care and concern for patients, getting to root cause of injury and long term rehab planning is the best I've seen after experiencing many doctors and large orthopedic centers in the Twin Cities.I invested in PRP injections for a nagging hamstring injury that took me away from my favorite sport, running.With the partnership of the doctor, regenative medecine specialists and amazing PT I'm running again without pain and look forward to two fall marathons. This is my second round of PRP and the experience has been night and day better and more valuable at Odom and I wish I would have found them sooner!Highly recommend Dr. Odom and Andrew, the most wonderful PT!
