There are times. Of the day when you will wait half and hour or more in line.

I'm not normally one to write a bad review -- I'll just take my business elsewhere. But the stakes are high when it comes to pharmacies. I called this morning to transfer a prescription sent to Capsule for my son's kidney infection, which was diagnosed this morning. He has been in terrible pain since 3am and needs these meds. The staff told me it would take several hours to transfer and fill, even though I explained my son was in a lot of pain. He said it will be done by 2pm, but when I called at 2pm I was told I must have received incorrect information because transfers take 24 hours. He said he would "try his best" to get it done in 2 more hours, but I ended up telling him nevermind, and transferred to a local pharmacy instead (Uptown Pharmacy) who was able to handle my request right away. Look, I get it. I was a pharmacy technician for years, and I know the work and the people are challenging. I know y'all are chronically understaffed. But I also know that a huge volume of the work is refills and non-urgent prescriptions, and prioritizing those who proactively request their meds to relieve suffering is central to doing ethical work. Support your local independent pharmacy, folks.

It's amazing the condition of the store with a thousands of dollars we all spend there every month. The entrance door is been broken for a year. It barely opens and the same for the exit door. I asked the staff about this but they said that no one there will repair it. It's amazing the low standard that is seen by the local residents and consumers. The parking lot is always filthy around the door everywhere. Most of the employees there seem to have a very defeated attitude. Yet I still shop there. What is wrong with me? Perhaps the corporate office will put to money into the store.

Worst pharmacy I've been to. Constantly understaffed.

A very chatty older man working at the pharmacy took 10+ minutes just talking to a customer 30 min before the pharmacy closed and there's 10+ people in line. I have express pickup, prepaid with a pass on my phone and the Walgreens app instructs me to skip the line because all they have to do is scan something. I go to the front of the long line and they say that I have to wait in the back of the line. What's the point of express pick up then?

Very inefficient pharmacy. I avoid coming here because there is always a long line and I just waited 20+ minutes in line for vaccine. Stood at counter for 8 minutes while employees walked passed multiple times before my I was even acknowledged. Checkout at the main counter is slower than anywhere I've been too.

This pharmacy has a lot of issues, and I attribute all of them to how this particular location has been perpetually understaffed since 2020.- Usually there is an issue with refilling my prescriptions, and I need to call in, but I can't always get through on the phone because...- Their phone systems are frequently backed up with more than 3 callers waiting. After an hour on hold, you are disconnected.- The pharmacy window line is typically very long with wait times ranging from 10-30 minutes.- Sometimes the pharmacy will just be "temporarily closed" for a day or two with no notice, no reason as to why, and no information of when it will be open again.I will say, the staff that is there is always really helpful and kind (once you finally make it to them). Find a different Walgreens. The drive might not be as convenient, but you'll save yourself the hidden cost of time and frustration with trying to visit this one.

We've been going to the Walgreens pharmacy at 4323 Chicago Ave for years. We've considered switching a number of times for various reasons (including long waits, poor service, and going to a Walgreens closer to where we live), but we stay at this one because of pharmacy tech Dan. He has provided consistently fantastic service over the years, making sure we get what we need in a timely manner and at the best price. He's friendly and super helpful, and can often answer questions or figure out things when others can't seem to do so. Thanks for your 5-star service, Dan!

Prescriptions are NEVER ready on time. This pharmacy has sucked for years. They promise to change and never do. The staff is nice but the management sucks. A pharmacy is NOT A BAKERY. I don't have time in my day to come back later. And they close early so now I'm going to risk a night without medication. If I don't make it, send this to my lawyer but seriously, Walgreens you suck

The day I need my prescription they were temporarily closed I don’t know what this means but I never thought they’d be closed.

Worthless store. Sat on hold for pharmacy over 1hr. They hang up on you at that point. Lazy good for nothing employees. If I could give no stars I would. Wish this store was still burned and ravaged. We disconnect you and you harm yourself or others? This is a pharmacy? Right? You do understand the importance of your job? No? Go elsewhere, much better locations out there.

The check out staff are all super friendly! I know they have a hard job dealing with all sorts of people and circumstances but they still have a smile on their face. We appreciate you guys!
