The DJ there that night needed to stick with one song & mix. He did something referred to as edging a house crowd. Catch a rhythm on a good track with a great build-up, and BAM switched it up to some stupid lame song. Otherwise, decent ambiance.

Very disappointing. Room had a strobing malfunctioning light upon entry & was super hot. Maintenance person was clueless. Glad it was only 1 night. Bathroom wasn't clean either. Had stayed here previously 11 years prior and loved it. Won't be back.

Very high end place. Very exquisite hotel. The history of Foshay was a very interesting place to see and read of all the ups and downs of the owner. Truly was a rags to riches back to rags again story. Observation deck has an awesome view of the surrounding buildings and beyond. I love that they displayed everything, and I mean everything. Like the Pardon from the President! Come and enjoy a bit of history and see the view from the 30th floor. Once there on the 30th floor, you walk up 2 things of stairs. I hope you enjoy this gem. It took them 2 years to build. Just think about that a moment. Now a days it takes some people 10 years to fix a pothole! ?? ?

Great stay! Historic building that's been renovated into a swanky hotel. The lobby bar attracts a decent crowd on the weekends and Manny's, a top-tier steakhouse, is attached to the hotel and worth a visit if you fancy a classic steakhouse vibe.

Great place to stay! Love the historical features and lookoutFoshay was an American businessman, who built a fortune buying utilities throughout the Midwest in the early 20th century. Foshay built the Foshay Tower in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which opened in August 1929. In 1932 he was convicted of conducting a “pyramid scheme” with shares of his own stock. The Foshay Tower was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 for its significance in architecture and engineering. In 2006-2008, it was renovated and reopened as a 230-room hotel, the W Minneapolis-The Foshay.

Recently had my 3rd stay at the W Minneapolis for a birthday staycation. Everything was fantastic - including the front desk lady that brought up a comp bottle of champagne 1 minute after getting into our room! I’ll definitely be back ❤️

4 Star Hotel with cool room, spacious shower, and bathroom.*Shower soaps with pump handles weren't full (5 star hotels always fill before guests arrive)*I needed to ask for a small fridge.*Wasn't a book in the room defining hotel amenities.*QR code brought up Mannys Steakhouse menu.*Mini bar with drink prices but none in the actual mini bar itself. (Nothing really explaining how mini bar worked)*Nowhere to buy snacks. The closest is a Target 3 blocks away, which opens at 8 am*This W Hotel is losing a lot of money daily per room.*Hotel female staff is very friendly and attractive (just being real)*Really cool W in lobby with pics of local celebs, including my favorite artist Prince*Location is perfect. Just a few blocks from Target Center or US Bank Stadium*If management turns up the dial a few degrees, 5-Star potential is within their grasp

Nice place, small room, questionable service up front. Only here for one night. Room wasn’t ready although we were here well after when our room should be ready. Standing there with bags in our hand and didn’t offer to hold bags while we get a drink. This place is valet only so no other option for bags. Another CSR saw us standing there with our bags and offered service - just an awkward moment of - they screwed up and it’s our problem with zero effort to make things comfortable or right. Wasn’t much later some other guest was screaming at the same staff member that didn’t help us, so there is a theme. Bar was awesome, Kyle is awesome and super friendly. Great drinks and pretty cool you can order anything off the Mannys menu at the W bar. Mannys booked up for the evening but we were still able to enjoy some good eats. Good views from floor 21Rooms: SmallWalkability: Tons of restaurants and bars to walk to- park the car and just walkNoteworthy details: Kyle in the bar is killing it.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. The decor and ambiance are outstanding. The food at the steakhouse is amazing not just because of the taste but the portion sizes as well. Definitely treat yourself to this hotel if you can.Food & drinks: There is a steakhouse and a bar within the hotel.

The service is excellent at this elegant, historical hotel. The pillows and bed were excellent. It was fantastic that my standard king room had a Nespresso machine. It was all really tidy. Finally, the front desk and bar staff at both restaurants provided outstanding service. Will undoubtedly return. Shopping, numerous nice bars, and restaurants are all within walking distance of the downtown center.

The hotel needs a refresh on their rooms, towels, etc. The pillows were too soft, my head just sank in, so it was like I didn't even have one.The staff was great & you can't beat the location. Overall it's a nice hotel but I was expecting more for the money I paid.

This hotel is absolutely DISGUSTING. We booked two rooms for a girls weekend and both were absolutely vile. Stains everywhere, food left in the room from previous visitors and dirty clothes shoved in corners. (See photo below). When we tried to get assistance from management they literally LAUGHED in our faces and offered no help or solution. I can’t believe they would charge $300 a night for something so revolting. We have to sleep in this hell hole tonight until we can find another hotel tomorrow.
