The car provided was a size down from what we booked and we were paying for and the non-US based phone agents were difficult to get ahold of due to long hold times & unable to ultimately correct the problem. Next time we'll try another company rental company that maybe has better USA based support when a problem arises.

We reserved a car prior to arrival ,upon arrival they told us its a 45 min or less waot time its now 11/2 hrs and still waiting

I went to pick up my car and was told I was being “upgraded” to a “premium” vehicle. This “premium” vehicle did not have any premium features (basic vehicle, no heated seats or steering wheel, no auto start, etc). On top of that Elliot’s “upgrade” was an extra $60/day that was never discussed with me, had it been I would have declined the service. Thrifty’s deceitful practice is unacceptable. The quote I got for the same car from the website was $40/day and I was charged nearly $100/day.Also you can’t call Thrifty and speak to an actual person, I highly doubt I will get a response from their online form.I’ll never rent from Thrifty, Dollar, or Hertz again.Edit 4/2/24 - no one from the store or corportate has contacted me. I called them and found out I was "upgraded" because the car I rented was not available, so Elliot decided to charge me $200 more to give me a car I didn't want or reserve. Once again, I was lied to. Customer service has been EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL. I am so dissapointed in Thrify's business practices. I'm NEVER renting from them again.

They charged me for their insurance and gas even after I declined them both. When I saw the charge on my credit card, I called them and they refused to do anything. The agents at the counter are scummy sales people and could care less about you. BE AWARE!!!!

Save yourself frustration and rent from a different company. Wish we did. We wanted to add a day to our rental with Thrifty. Called customer 4 times and the agents told us the wrong info- told us to add a separate 1 day rental. The new reservation could not be combined with existing one. Had to go back next day and turn in the car and get a new one (the original reservation). The counter agents didn’t help or try to trouble shoot or even note we wanted to keep the car/combine reservation. The customer service agent wouldn’t help and hung up on us. Don’t go with Thrifty.

Car was crap- called to exchange- they told us we had to use the email link- 3 hours from MSP and no place to exchange car- was basically told TFB - car is all scratched up, seats stained, - I would give them a negative on customer service. We travel to MN often and will never use thrifty again. Oh and booked a full size car on website- was given a compact car- thank god no snow this trip... Pay a little more and book somewhere else.See pictures! Writing this review as we are on our way to return this shitty car - and then this happens....

They pressured my husband into buying over $200 of car insurance he didn't need and threatened that he HAD to have it. Never been more disappointed in a car rental company I've never seen someone do something so illegal in my life.

DO NOT RENT! waited an hour in line to hear they didn't have cars ready. They said the car would not be ready for at least an hour. Called customer service they had no information to help us figure out why. WORST EXPERIENCE RENTIN! WILL NEVER USE AGAIN

Waiting over an hour for our rental car that we reserved 5 weeks ago. Fifty other people are also waiting. No help behind the counter and an agent that didn't give 2 shits. I hate Mpls.

My son accidentally left one of our phones in the rental car and we immediately called from the terminal because we couldn't go back through security or we'd miss our flight. The people working there didn't care AT ALL and told us the only way we can get it back is to file a report on the website. Fast forward a couple weeks and now we get an email saying they can't locate our lost item. No accountability, no empathy. Could be coincidence but now we're having all kinds of identity theft issues, so I don't know if a worker took the phone and got our info or what, but regardless, these people don't care AT ALL about you. Rent somewhere else

Waited 3 hours to get my rental car. The employees were very nice and felt bad about the wait, but when I emailed thrifty directly I got no response.Will not use again!

WORST service ever. We got here before they opened at 6am and waited for 30 min for someone to come to the desk, and this was after following THEIR sign that said to go up the escalators for help, then being sent back down again to wait more. Finally someone shows up and proceeds to spend several minutes DUSTING before helping the long line of people who had been on red eye flights, we're starving, had places to be. (One man had been told it was a 24/7 location and had been there since the previous night.) The lady calls up the line but TWO lines had formed since she was servicing Thrifty and Hertz so we all stood there trying to get her to tell us which line goes first. She spoke so softly when we finally were in front of her we couldn't hear anything she said. Then she tells us after checking us in we have to wait again because she can't verify if our car is there. At this point I'd drive a tin can just to get out! We waited ANOTHER 20 min for her and the man who started to assist her (after dusting MORE!) to help other customers, send them in up, chit chat with someone who wandered up to say hello, and then to finally do her job, check that the car was there and send us up to find it ourselves. No apology, no trying to correct the issue, just oblivious to the disgruntled line in front of her. Nome of the customers there were happy and none of the staff seemed to notice. We will never rent from them again. We watched the competitors line move quickly for the 1+ hour we were there.
