“I’ve been to this store a handful of times in the last 6 months and I’ve absolutely loved every experience I’ve had here! As someone who is plus size, I can’t think of one time that I’ve been able to find something that I actually love and am excited to wear from a consignment/thrift store. But whenever I come here I always fine something amazing!! And for an amazing price too. My favorite part were the jeans because I am NEVER able to find jeans that I like and don’t want to order online at multiple different places and have to deal with returning them if they don’t work out. I was able to find so many brands of denim that I’ve wanted to try but wasn’t able to because of them being online, so thank you Cake!! If you wear plus sized clothing, you HAVE to check this place out. They also switch out inventory frequently so there is always something new. The employees are also so helpful and kind. They do require face masks (at least the last time I was there they did), so don’t forget yours at home!”

“My experience here was absolutely great! Thank you very much to all the staff, especially to Mr. Aaron and another guy who answered all my questions. They were all so friendly and accommodating to my questions/requests. I will return here because my husband liked the chair I got. He might get the same thing.”

“Free Geek is a great establishment! If you’re into 2nd hand electronics for a low price, Free geek has descriptive labels on all of their inventory so you can purchase with confidence. Also, If you’re looking to experiment with electronics but would prefer not to break the bank, this is a great place to build upon that.”

“Best thrift store in all the states as far as I'm concerned, and I've been everywhere from Washington state to NYC. I always spend hours here because, beyond just the merchandise, the music and the people make a great atmosphere. 10/10 AMAZING”

“Do you love to look thru random things, and wonder if you could Reuse things for other purposes? Do you love a deal? Man! This place is for you! Come here and try to park on the decline angled section near the loading dock, so you don't have to pay to park! Check out my photos, I was there just a few days ago. Books are $0.10/lb and I actually found White Barn candle, used, but for like $2.00 with a discount, I bought kids books & that candle for a total of about $2.57!! Awesome! They do sell other wacky stuff like a diving board! Medical devices, U of M furniture, dentist chairs, massage tables, Gigantic desks, and other weird stuff!”

“Love this spot! I usually purchase things off of their Instagram for pick up. The staff are so kind and are always cheerful when I stop in. The selection is definitely well thought-out and well-priced. You're able to get great clothes at fabulous prices.”

“Flamingos is an absolutely magical place! I love taking out-of-town visitors there to introduce them to the quirky, silly, fun side of Minneapolis. They are consistently blown away by both the vibes and the excellent selection of vintage wares. It’s always a joy to peruse each room, and I often do multiple laps per visit. There’s so much to see, and I’ve found some incredible pieces here. My favorite finds are a glass butterfly lamp, a handmade teapot, two vintage teal wooden chairs, and a lovely original painting. My partner has found some incredible vintage men’s clothes too, especially flannels.”

“this is the thrift store i go back to most often in the city :) it’s pretty easy to get to either walking or by bus which makes it a nice option for those of us who don’t have cars. i love stocking up on lightbulbs here when i need them + i think a good 60 percent of my wardrobe is from here at this point. staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. i also think they’ve done a great job reorganizing the clothing area in the past year, it’s much easier to navigate now.”

“Great selection! Some of the reviewers here clearly don’t know the effort that goes into not just being a shop, but also PRIMARILY a safe space for many women to gather. Me being a customer comes secondarily to me financially supporting this space.”

“Old School is a great asset to the Stevens Square-Loring Heights neighborhood. I stop in regularly to peruse the clothing and have found several pieces from basics to statement pieces that receive lots of compliments.”

“I recently purchased several end tables from Reuse. The tables were dated and that is exactly what I was looking for. They were in great condition, and very affordable. The store is easy to browse in, very clean and the staff was very helpful and polite. I will shop there again when more selection of sofa's arrive. I only wish Reuse had their own delivery service. Great store!”

“Venilla was kind, patient, and insightful while helping me with items behind the counter. My visit was a very pleasant experience, thanks to your kind staff! I can’t wait to stop back here.”

“Make sure you get to the register with plenty of time to ring out!!! Great deals, tho!!! Every time, amazing selection of inventory!!! Also, their registers don’t accept American Express debit cards….. which are somewhat new to banking. We have also had issues with other cards so we bring cash when we shop here now just so it’s easier.”

“I myself am shocked at how pricey they are
But I do know this..,. This is the corps income including ringing of the bells that they receive annually
But they do need to lighten it up a bit”

“They don't always be open its annoying when I Go they be closed and short of staff like they was closed yesterday. They need to close this store and make it something else.”

“I love this place! When you donate something you just drop it off through the drive-thru and a nice person takes it from you and gives you a coupon for 20% off or you can go online and fill out a little survey and you get $2 off. The store is very clean, very organized. There's a huge parking lot that shares a lot with Planet fitness. Lots of parking is available. I find the deals are great when you have a coupon!! Tuesdays are the greatest time to come with somebody that is 55+! Employees are always working! Please enjoy all 50 of my pictures, although I did take around 90 Google only allows the first 50.”

“One of my favorite thrift stores in the Twin Cities. I can always rely on this location to have Target's unwanted dollar spot items for dirt cheap and/or well-priced furniture and clothing!”

“Prices seem to be really high ($11 for basic shirts, shorts, ect), and inconsistent (some items being priced high and others low of same quality). Great selection of items, just not the thrifting 'deals' there once were. The staff are lovely, very friendly, feels like a place of community.”

“I just had the best customer service experience with Athleta or Atheta (I think that’s how you spell her name, but I’m not 100% sure)! She’s an absolute gem, and she deserves a special shout-out.

I bought a vacuum today, and I didn’t test it, because when I opened the box in the store, everything was individually wrapped, so I assumed it was brand-new. Athleta rang me up and was so pleasant and helpful.

When I got home, I immediately assembled it, and I saw that there was hair and dust in it, so it had definitely been used— which was fine, but I was nervous it might not work. The assembly was going well until I discovered that it was missing its battery. At first I thought I could just buy a replacement battery, but my fiancé looked it up online, and the replacement would be $50-$80.

I decided to immediately go back to the store to return it, and Athleta was thankfully still there. She was genuinely apologetic about the lack of battery and asked if I had driven far to come back to the store to return it. She immediately worked with the manager to issue me a refund, and I felt so taken care of and valued.

She was working on a federal holiday (Juneteenth), and she treated me with such respect and consideration. Please give her a raise! She deserves it. I’ll definitely be coming back to shop here again because of this experience.”
