Jake is awesome. Told him im building a shed said he needed a couple days to get things bid up and I told him I was on a tight time frame and needed numbers back sooner than later. He said he would get it done. I appreciate the quick turn and service.

I love siwick lumber and havent visited there in a long time. Most of the staff was very attentive and seemed to care about my experience there. However when i tried to check out the woman working behind the counter was so rude. I had some lumber cut for me and was waiting to pay. She was very nice to all the men who approached the counter but completely ignored me as i stood before her to pay. ( i am a woman) she acted like i was not there with the exception of a few rude looks when i aatempted to talk to her. My friend who was with me even mentioned it. Finally a man who was sitting back by the computers came forward and helped me and treated me as i would expect to be treated as a customer. I think the other person is.a liability to your company. I almost walked out after waiting and waiting for her to even acknowledge my existence. I probably wont be back there agqin. She turned a pleasant interaction into a very unpleasant one. I guess she didnt think an old lady would leave a review.

A great lumbermill. They were able to put together some custom work for a set of deck repairs I couldn't get ordered anywhere else. Friendly staff, highly quality work.

Great source for plywood, hardwood, and wood building materials. They had several types of hardwood plywood like cherry, oak, maple, and baltic birch. Very reasonable prices.

I’ve known the Siwek since moving here in 1984. They really take care of you. Now they are the best Milwaukee dealer in town. They take care of handling the warranty for you when a tool breaks. All this and the best Millwork and door store in the Midwest. Tom Siwek will give you his time even if he’s doing a ton of other things too.

These guys are the best. The knowledge they can share and customer service employed beats any other yard or home improvement store in the metro by leaps and bounds. Something in the company culture. It doesn't matter who you happened to speak with, they are all great!

Incredibly helpful staff. Not the easiest to get a hold of by email, but if you go in and talk to the staff in person they are literally the best. I am currently building a new home and on one occasion Tom answered a bunch of my newbie questions about millwork, and on another visit Peter answered more of my questions and helped me get all of the interior doors and millwork for my house ordered & scheduled for delivery! These guys made it so easy and alleviated a lot of my stress around this big project!

I went to Siwek Lumber today on Friday July 21st at noon in Minneapolis. The staff member I spoke to was extremally rude. I almost never write negative reviews, but this was some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered.My husband and I were planning to purchase bamboo plywood in addition to a more expensive plywood for a tiny house project. When we asked the employee if they still carried bamboo plywood, he codependently answered yes and told us he couldn't help us get the plywood down. That is understandable, since the fork lift wasn't in that building, however he did nothing to assist us further.Afterward, I was interested in buying walnut plywood that was $180 per sheet and we needed quite a few sheets. The plywood was a bit over my head, so I couldn't quite see what it looked like. I carefully lifted the plywood, about an inch off the other sheet, to see what it looked like before I invested in it. When I did this, the employee came over to me and scolded me, as if I were a child and then proceeded to tell me that he will have to charge me $180 for any sheet that I damaged.First of all, this is unlawful to detain someone and force them to pay for something. And number two, nothing was damaged, and number three, if the lumber is that susceptible to possible damage, than it should be Siwek's responsibility to put cardboard or spacers in between each sheet of plywood. Or put up signage that instructs people not to touch the wood, and have helpful employees assist customers that do want to look at the wood.None of which were present. I mill my own lumber and we have spacers. This was ridiculous and make me leave without buying a single item.I gave it two stars because we have been loyal shoppers at Siwek's for years. We have never ran into anything or anyone like this before and the staff is mostly friendly and helpful. I am beyond disappointed with today's visit and I feel like I was treated like I didn't deserve to shop at the store, from the first interaction to the last. And I am not sure if I will return.
