“Busy spot, but most staff does their best to move the line. Sheila rocks.White “hamper” bin on far wall in line is for prepaid boxes that don’t need receipts - wish you could dump those packages thru a wall slot (like envelopes) instead of sort of cutting line to drop off.”
“Eyakem is absolutely the best! I don't even live near the U of M campus anymore, but I will specifically make the drive to go to the Dinky Post Office because of how friendly, knowledgable, and efficient Eyakem is during the shipping process.”
“The Northeast USPS is my go to post office. I really appreciate all the staff at this post office. Everyone is always very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. The lines usually move fairly quickly.
I’ve been to post offices all around the United States and this facility and staff is one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of shipping things out of. I would definitely recommend using this post office.
Off topic, but of note… the New Brighton post office is the worst I’ve ever been to. Unhinged staff. Avoid at all costs.”
“The best and Amazing service by this gentleman He helped me change my postal residence and was super kind and helpful his name it's FREDHe does an excellent job with people and his patience is admirable this man deserves 10 stars ? We need more postal workers like him. ?”
“Dara & Margie are the greatest! They're so very personable & friendly! They both almost ALWAYS have a smile on their faces???Keep up the great work! Trish gets an honorable mention as well as I forgot 2 acknowledge her earlier as well???...”
“Jill leapt in to help me as soon as I walked in and helped me find the perfect packaging for each of my items. She made the experience stress-free and I feel really confident about the condition my items will arrive in because of her.”
“10/10 for manager of the 55404 area, Dan! Answered my million of questions with a mistake of a package delivery and left me at ease. Got a tracking update today for a very important package, and all is exactly what he said. After dealing with customer service and a million postal workers, Dan has so far been the absolute best.”
“I've been going to this location for 5+ years. The gentleman that works here is by far the nicest and most helpful post office employee I've ever encountered. Even during the holidays he is cheerful, helpful and efficient. There's usually never a line but when there is it goes quick.”
“I've only been here a handful of times, but when I do go the woman working the front counter has been efficient and pleasant to work with. Im sure it's a hard job, but she handles it with a great attitude. Someone give this woman a raise, she deserves it!”
“I have only had good experiences and good treatment the times I have visited this post office. In the way you ask you will receive, if you give respect you will receive respect.”

6101 W Old Shakopee Rd, Minneapolis“This is one big honking Post Office! The drive through is easy, once you get around the frontage roads. There are two rows of boxes to ease traffic, which there is a lot of at this office. Exiting is easier then getting in, but that's all Bloomington regulations so we won't blame the USPS.”
“Just dropped a mail hold card and the clerk at the window said "leaving again?" And took.the card from me and said to have a good time. She knows me by now. I don't know her name but she is sooo nice!”
“I love DJ and George! I am here dropping off packages for my small business daily. They are the best and they truly work so hard!! One time I forgot to put a label on my package and it miraculously showed back up at my house. These guys care❤️they deserve raises and more help!!”
“The best experience anyone could have at the post office, both workers, Gene and the woman working the front were so exceptionally nice and helped us ship out a birthday present”
“May every post office have an employee like Tina who is so helpful, cheery, and chatty. We all need a little more connection in our lives. Take the time to thank the good people in this world.”
“This is by far the friendliest Post Office I have ever been to.I’ve lived all over the United States and used a lot of post offices and this one has the most knowledgeable and helpful staff I have ever interacted with.I actually live closer to another post office and make the extra trip to come to this one when I need their services.”
“Great post office! I absolutely love the art deco design! There was a long line when I got there but it moved rather quickly. The staff was helpful and friendly. Over the experience was great. I would recommend going there!”

7440 University Ave NE, Minneapolis“I have visited this location a few times now and have always experienced great customer service. Today I brought in a few packages and hadn't shipped any packages in about 10 years and the lady walked me right through the process. Even helping me switch one box to a bubble wrap mailer to save a few extra dollars. Thank you!”
“There used to be some very crabby staff at this location - see other reviews - but those days are over. The new postal workers assigned to this location are friendly and helpful.”
“Had to pick up a couple packages during peak holiday season. Employees were helpful and kind, even when there was a long line. Pro tip, if you're there just to pick up a package, go to the blue door and ring that bell!”
“I've only had the occasion to visit a couple of times. The annex is a special place. While they can't do a lot of what your regular post office can (don't come looking for stamps or to ship a package), they CAN handle a lot of the things that your local post office may not be able to. For me, this meant getting some mail that hadn't yet been delivered. For another customer, it meant picking up a package that had been sent without a suite number. While it's a good-sized facility with ample parking (conveniently located within walking distance of my workplace), working directly with customers is only a small part of what they do. If nobody is at the desk when you come in, ring the doorbell on the wall opposite the door. You may need to wait a few minutes, as they've got a whole lot going in, but they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks, USPS!”

10611 Baltimore St NE #100, Minneapolis“Clean location with well stocked supplies. Smaller post office so plan your visit accordingly, lines are to be expected. The Kiosk and package drop bin is very helpful.”

2811 University Ave SE, Minneapolis“I visit many Post Offices, this one on occasion, and the experience has been consistently average. But for me consistency is very good so an ‘average Post Office experience’ isn’t a bad thing at all.
That said, I recently interacted with a (new in 2024?) employee who is quite possibly the most non-judgmental and courteous person I may have ever come across in my travels- ever.
Not really speaking to USPS, but the employee- thank you for the positive experience!”
“Just saw a customer going crazy on a worker for being slow, despite not having the address or package ready. She was throwing things at the worker! Good on the worker and her coworkers for keeping their cool with a rude and unrealistic Karen!”
9AM - 2PM
7701 Golden Valley Rd, Minneapolis“Had 24 packages to drop off. Rang bell in back, no one came, but Alex pulled up and went above and beyond to help me get to loading dock to drop off my pre-paid packages. Thanks Alex for you help unloading as well!”
“They're trying their best. It's not the workers' fault they're understaffed and so underfunded that the computers don't work well. To y'all postal workers, try to get some rest. I appreciate you.”
“While there are issues with the delivery service at times, the main office is just fine. While some have attitudes that some may find a distasteful, with the people they have to deal with and the grief they have to put up with, I can sympathize with them.
My service was great and very helpful. The only reason why I give them a 4 and not a 5, is because of the potholes throughout their parking and drop-off areas. A well as the dumb idea to change out the drive up drop boxes they used to have for the ones they currently have. You used to be able to drop off anything without getting out of your car, but now it's set so far back one has to get out to do it.”
“My Name is NOT Steve. I am Linda and I think the service here is very good. Yes I have had to wait in line, but not long. Clerks have been knowledgeable and efficient and sometimes when not busy, even quite friendly. But then I am old, CIS gender, and white.”
“I've been in post offices (USPS) where I've been treated like a human being, but most I've been in I've been treated like I'm an unwanted pest. But, at Normandale, not only do the staff seem to care that my needs are met, they also treat me like a member of their community and someone who they are happy showed up. Phenomenal!”
