perfectly altered my one of a kind, off the rack stephen yearick dress to fit me perfectly! did delicate and tedious bead and lacework! i didnt get my dress in to be altered until 2-3 months before the wedding day and she got it done with no complaints. couldn't be happier. easy to schedule appointments and work with. also got my veil made by them! very reasonable prices for my alterations in my opinion! thanks so much

Chelsea was amazing to work with, appointments were a breeze and I felt gorgeous in my dress by the end of all the fittings! The details she added for the bustle matched in with the dress, I'm THRILLED with how I looked and felt in my dress for my wedding day!

10/10 experience at Modehaus! I had a silk satin gown that needed quite a few alterations and Chelsea did a beautiful job! I was worried I wouldn’t be able to achieve the fit I wanted when I first picked up my gown from another boutique, but after Chelsea’s alterations it truly couldn’t have fit any better. Can’t recommend her enough especially if you’re working with a delicate or tricky fabric.

Chelsea is truly an artist, and I can't thank her enough for the incredible work she did on my dress. She handled a difficult fabric and style with ease, and the alterations were perfect. My experience at Modehaus Bridal was absolutely amazing. From her impeccable attention to detail to her kindness, Chelsea made made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. She has a remarkable gift, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dress.
Thank you, Chelsea, for making my wedding day perfect!

Modehaus Bridal Atelier was amazing to work with!!! After not finding anything I loved at traditional bridal shops, I went to Modehaus. I described that I was looking for a two piece with flowy pants and Chelsea created something better than I had imagined! She was very easy to work with through the whole process of making my ensemble. I am incredibly happy with the result and wouldn’t have changed a thing. I would strongly recommend Modehaus Bridal Atelier to anyone looking for their wedding outfit! (I have attached some pictures. Modehaus made the two piece outfit with the tank top, that I, the redhead, am wearing.)

Chelsea is an ARTIST.
I came to her with a strapless & intricate dress that didn't quite fit me perfectly. She worked expertly to create the perfect fit and designed beautiful straps to accent the dress using lace scraps from the train. I'm so happy I found her - I would highly recommend her to anyone that doesn't want to worry about who to trust with their wedding gown!! Expert seamstress, thoughtful designer and fabric artist. You won't find better care, high quality craft and as a bonus, a beautiful space to try on and discuss details! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Modehaus. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked down the aisle in my dream outfit, everything was perfect. Chelsea was such a joy to work with. So personable, friendly, funny, and incredibly talented. I had a vision for my outfit that I had no photos of and was yet to exist (to my knowledge), and she executed it perfectly and designed and created a stunning bridal jumpsuit. We met many times over a year-long period, and always had a great time. She blew me away with the quality of work she did, and I couldn’t ask for a better outfit & bridal atelier to work with. I highly recommend Chelsea & Modehaus. She made my wedding perfect!

I had no idea how to choose where to have wedding dress alterations. I chose Modehaus based on Flutter’s recommendation and lots of positive reviews. Let me save you from looking anywhere else and just say: Modehaus for your bridal alterations!!
Chelsea is patient, thorough, organized, calm, artistic, and visionary. She has an excellent eye for how to make you and your dress look as beautiful as possible. My dress was heavy and strapless, and the goal was to have it fit so well I wasn’t worried about the feeling of it or the look of it. Pics attached so you can see how well it went!!!
Ps: thank you, Chelsea, for affirming my other styling choices like earrings and shoes. I felt so confident with the whole look thanks to you!
Pps: can’t swing a trip to Paris during wedding planning? Consider every alterations appointment a mini adventure/vacation—the studio is so cool/stunning/amazing!!!

This was a profoundly negative experience for me. I would not recommend using Modhaus in any capacity, but if you do chose to go this route I strongly suggest following up every single appointment with a detailed email that outlines EVERYTHING that was communicated around both timelines and alteration details.
My dress fit perfectly straight out of the bag, only needing a hem. Modhaus had my dress from January 13th until June 7th. I asked for a single length hem to be just above floor length. Instead of a train I wanted a tulle cape. Our initial consultation was scheduled for the afternoon of January 13th, but Chelsea rescheduled it to that morning. Chelsea had me come in for “fittings” on February 22nd (which she rescheduled to the 27th), April 25th, May 11th, and June 7th.
Every step of the way Chelsea argued with me and dismissed me. I felt like something was off but I trusted the reviews and I trusted Chelsea, and I shouldn’t have.
She changed the straps (completely her idea). I expressed concern with the match of the straps to the dress and she suggested putting tulle over the straps. When she did I said they were itchy, and she said that they were what I asked for. They weren’t and I wish I had said that. I still hate them.
She hemmed the dress to have a train. When I told her that wasn’t what I asked for she told me that she wrote it in her notes. She went back and forth with me on this for a while before she finally realized that she mistook the cape notes for the dress.
She suggested changing the cups. I agreed and requested we do fabric instead of a cup. She said that was a bad idea and that she would just use a thin cup. Three visits later and she tell me that they cant find a thin cup and that we should just use fabric- no acknowledgement that this was my original request.
The cape was/is the wrong length. At a certain point I just relented. I was exhausted coming into the studio and having to argue with Chelsea. At this point I was a week out from my wedding. She promised it would be done in May, but it wasn’t even close. 4 fittings and 6 months for a dress that already fit.
My final appointment the cape didn’t attach to the straps right. It didn’t cover my shoulders like we talked about and the connection pulled and buckled the straps. When I expressed concern Chelsea argued again saying that she sewed the cape where it was pinned. I just started crying at this point. Once she saw my tears she admitted that the back might have tightened up when she “rolled” it. I expressed concern about the match of the straps for the 3rd time and Chelsea told me that they were “brightening”
I SAT IN HER STUDIO SILENTLY CRYING FOR 2.5 HOURS - A WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING - BECAUSE SHE DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON OUR AGREED CHANGES IN OUR AGREED TIMELINES AT ANY STEP OF THE WAY.
I went in for 4 fittings for a dress that already fit. She didn’t even have a cape for me to try on for the first 2. The work that was done is poor too. Appliqués are unraveling in places that i have had to hand sew down and the tulle around them is trimmed raggedly. The hem is uneven and dips in the front so I now need to buy new taller shoes to avoid tripping on it.
I cannot emphasize enough how draining and upsetting this entire process was. I paid $1700 to be gaslit and argued with; and the work itself isn’t even good. I still had to spend time at home trimming loose threads that were 3 to 5 inches long all around the hem and sewing down fraying appliqué edges.
It is honestly heartbreaking to now have such deeply negative associations with the dress that originally brought me to tears out of love. I have put it on at home and I cry when I wear it because it just feels ruined.

Another bride here just to say how incredibly AMAZING Chelsea and her team is! She made me feel so comfortable and every appointment was a beautiful private experience. She knows exactly what to do to make your dress fit like an absolute glove! Also, made me the most beautiful custom veil I was so obsessed with and added little sleeves that matched my vision. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Thank you Chelsea for making my dress perfect for my big day ❤️

Chelsea was amazing to work with! If you don’t get your dress altered here, you’re missing out on a great experience. I know so many other brides who went to other shops were worried about their dress being altered terribly but for me with Chelsea? That thought never even crossed my mind! I knew she would do a wonderful job! Her attention to detail is amazing and she truly wants to provide the best experience for all of her brides. I also felt like she was very reasonably priced!
