This is an amazing resource for the city. I've gotten so much done with these tools, learned a ton, saved heaps of money, and don't have to deal with the maintenance/clutter of owning tools. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and the large variety of tools are in good repair.

Awesome, friendly people here. My husband rents tools here often for home projects. They have a free section outside their door, at least on 9/13/23, they did. And they have several things for sale in the entrance too! I told my husband to buy anything he wanted - he did! The only thing I would recommend, to be changed, is to make the signage - BIGGER -... The first picture (hopefully the way Google portrays them, it'll be my first picture,) shows how small the Tool Library sign is. That'd be my only suggestion! Great parking available, many entrances available too! Check their website for varying hours!

Such a wonderfully caring group of volunteers that genuinely care about the work they do and bettering access to tools and repair. I went to a monthly fix in clinic where they helped me mend three items so I could wear them again. The women helping were a hoot to chat with and adds to my motivation to care for things I own

Great resource and helpful, friendly staff. If you own one of the 100+ year old homes in NE, a membership here is a must-have. I've been a member since they opened and it has saved me a ton on rental or purchase costs, and helped me complete many large renovation projects. One of my favorite parts of the library though is actually donating my tools! I can free up space in my home or garage by bringing in my big, seldom-used specialty tools, knowing they'll be well maintained and actually used by my neighbors! That is a great feeling.

Amazing place with a lot to offer. A full wood workers shop. A membership gets you access to all the tools they have; much like a library. They've expanded and added a ton more!

Found this place during art-a-whirl, seems like a fantastic concept to learn how to be handy in the classes and have access to SO many tools rather than having to have the storage space at home.

I really appreciate the tool library. I’m new to woodworking and I’ve gone there a few times during their business hours and they’ve always been helpful. The owner the staff and their volunteers are really knowledge. I highly recommend getting a membership to support this amazing resource.

NE Minneapolis Tool Library is amazing. We are full members and definitely found it to be worth supporting a great organization. We have borrowed several tools from them (you can borrow for a week with an option to extend it) and the staff has been really helpful making sure you get the right tool for the job and know how to use it. We have also used the shop a few times for ripping and cutting some shelves, and again the staff is really helpful, instructive, and patient. I haven't taken a class yet, but I'm looking forward to it when I have a chance. Highly recommend them!

I appreciate this spot bc you can take care of household projects even if you dont yave the tools. They are always so helpful and have a great workshop onsite for bigger saws. As a female I dont feel uncomfortable or treated differently there.
