Good selection of stuff but considerably overpriced especially when it comes to the meat and seafood, me and several friends will buy meat from all over and will challenge each other to discern what meat came from where, even bought the $38/lb ribeye and couldn’t tell it from the ribeyes at Whole Foods or Target. Also one of the front end people was insanely high on meth on several occasions.Friends that work there have said the hiring manager is a condescending atrocity of a human being.Outside of dairy products and snacks I wouldn’t recommend buying from here and would certainly not recommend anyone to apply for a job here considering places like target pay their department employees more

Seating area to eat near registers is almost always filthy with food on every table. Even when excess staff are standing at the front of the store conversing with one another.Amazing deli food. But **everything** is ridiculously overpriced. Like, $2-$10 more per product than anywhere else.

As out-of-towners from S/E Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, we needed a prepared Thanksgiving dinner for eight people all staying at a VRBO. I shopped the Internet for a few days and found numerous possibilities, but selected Kowalski's because of the content, quantity and store location. Ordering prepared food on the Internet left me with some anxiety but there need not have been any concern, as Kowalski's came through like champions. The pre-cooked turkey was perfect for reheating and all the plentiful sides were as good as homecooked. Thank you to the kitchen folks at Kowalski's for helping us enjoy such a memorable TG dinner away from home. Should we ever make a similar trip to the Minneapolis area you can count on us to return to you as a valued resource,

when a person has spent money at your store for two decades, and now they do not want to go there anymore and have nothing nice to say anymore, management is doing something wrong. disconnect your phone and pass the savings onto the customers if you're not gonna answer the phone. this is the fourth time I've had an issue that I've had to waste an exorbitant amount of my precious time. I politely and calmly brought it up twice before, and it's still the same old thing-a dead end. You have a captured audience there for business. I hope people will realize that there are other businesses that could use their consumer dollars like the co-ops or good old Byerlys. where I never ever have a problem. this was the last business I was spending money at in uptown after spending my entire life in the area. and I'm done. enjoy the unrelaxing drive down Hennepin and all the door dings you'll get in the parking lot at Kowalski's and when they're out of what you went to get or don't have what you need, you can just buy something else. The front of the house staff are exemplary, but everything around it is just a nightmare & not worth my consumer $$s. goodbye Kowalski's.

This is a high-end grocery store with high quality products and high-end prices.I don't recommend shopping for "essentials" here, the aforementioned "high-end" prices carry true to all items and are especially obvious with various household staples. On the other hand, this Kowalski's Market location is a wonderful place to shop for those things you just cant find elsewhere. those ingredients that really make a dish shine and taste amazing. The staff at this location are always friendly and helpful, even when coming in late close to closing. Checkout is efficient although I prefer the self checkout as I usually only have a few items. One of my favorite things about shopping here is the abundance of great samples. Not only do they prepare great food for the samples, the employees are nice and not overly pushy about selling the food being sampled. This location also has many holiday celebrations, where they offer many samples and great deals on products related to the holiday. A few examples include a 40th year anniversary, Oktoberfest, and a Halloween event. There are many noteworthy features within the store such as many "build your own" hot food bars, including: a pho/ramen bar, a chipotle like salad/bowl bar, an olive bar(?), a soup bar, and a delicious pasta bar. These food bars are great for a quick meal that you can cater to your own preference and as an added bonus, taste great! There is also an attached Starbucks within the store, I am not much of a coffee drinker but in my limited experience the workers were polite and timely. The specialty cheese and deli selections are vast and offer great recommendations and deals.Lastly there is a small gift shop within the store, offering items from local brands as well as various household items and decorations.Thank you for taking the time to read my review!-Hunter :)

Why are baked goods not priced down in the afternoons? To have product sitting openly all day to get hard then still ask $5 for a stale morning bun is wild to me. Almost every grocery store in WI does this. Not to mention the time a woman thought I was stealing at self check out and tried to correct me by saying that they were Apple fritters… not one Apple fritter in my bag lol.

Everything at Kowalski’s is perfection and they offer the best of everything! I like to go more than once per day just because I love to be surrounded by all the goodness. Yummy premade salads and meals at a reasonable cost compared to other local grocery stores. Unmatched service and quality!

Kowalski's markets consistently have the finest products in stock and appropriately shelved in easily found display patterns and the deli is top quality just as the exceptionally well- aged meats are easily reviewed and the individuals of separate department staff are commonly highly informed and enthusiastic about maintaining product quality of satisfactory sales above quantity. Kowalski's markets are kept clean and efficient to minimize the amount of time spent in the store while maximizing customer service and satisfaction to better encourage repeated clientele and thereby secure and sustain the ongoing reference of priceless word of mouth advertising

We bought the 7" champagne double layer cake for our wedding, and it was frosted in the beautiful flower pattern just like the website picture! It tasted AMAZING & was such a great & affordable option for our wedding party. I would highly recommend getting this cake for your wedding! I look forward to ordering another one on a regular day just to try it again.

What a treasure outside of downtown! When visiting a town for the first time, it's great to check out the local grocery store. After walking the sculpture garden we just drove around and needed a light meal. Score! This place is amazing. A pho / ramen bar???!! Never seen this in Cali. A make your own burrito bowl, pasta bar, wing bar, salad bar, soup bar, hot foods like chicken, meatloaf and more! I picked up a piece of roasted dark meat chicken and some spinach from the salad bar for my own salad. Hubby got the twice chocolate croissant and I added an iced cookie. Whoa! Delicious. Hubby is really enjoying the croissant which is generously filled with hazelnut spread and then drizzled with chocolate. My cookie is a great size and perfectly soft which is exactly what I like. The non food items (clothing, accessories) are very expensive and there is a Whole Foods vibe here. There was an adorable sweater decorated with cats that would have been a great gift but not for $75. This store is a must shop so please support this local business. We have to come

Stopped in for a quick bite, fresh bread, deli meats and cheese. Young man behind the counter was so patient with me ordering a few slices of 4 different meats and 2 kinds of cheese. Thank you for helping a picky eater. Less than $7 & better and any sandwich shop.

I get that Kowalski's is inherently expensive but I expected a bit more proffesional approach to my recent experience.I came in with low funds on my debit card. But I knew I could pay the difference in cash. The cashier was this older gentleman and when I told him what I was planning on doing he doesn't even attempt it and walks away. They ended up getting 4 people involved because no one knew how to do my transaction. The manager that came up and helped me finally, was openly aggressive and left me feeling extremely embarrassed.Kolwaskis, please train your employees better. They shouldn't just give up without even attempting to help me out. 4 people involved on what should've been a relatively simple transaction.

I literally can't imagine a better grocery store for fancy items. It's got all the high class stuff you've been wanting. Of course it'll cost you a lot more, but you already knew that. Just don't expect to get everything on your Cub groceries list here, sometimes feels like a limited selection.
