The deli lady (kind of chubby and 30’s early 40’s looking) is kind of rude. She skipped on me while I was in line first and helped another customer that just got to the counter. When she did help me, she didn’t seem apologetic but resentful towards me. I asked for a sausage and a small rice but being either mad, rude or in a hurry she only handed me the sausage and forgot the rice. When I corrected her telling her I also wanted rice, she did it but quickly put it on the counter in a rude way and just walked away. What’s her problem, store owner? ?I’m not sure if I’ll ever come here for deli again. Store owner needs to teach workers to be more professional and patient.

If I can give it a zero I would. The bitter soup was spoil. It was sour! I tried calling the store but they never answer like usual. This is not the first time this has happened to us getting spoiled food. This was dinner and by the time I get home , try it and go back to the store the store would be close. All the food I got half of it was spoiled. The two bitter soup and the red paste pepper jaebon. Time and time again I keep going there for food wasting my money knowing it will be a disappointment because we won’t be able to eat half of the food. I will not be returning as a customer no longer. One day someone will report them to the dept of health.

The customer service here is horrible. Like i know asian (specifically hmongs) are horrible in general at customer service, but this place, smh. . . Theres literally only 1 person serving the food at the deli, even though theres like 20 ppl waiting in line. If you order papaya, the person who took your order will be the one making the papaya. So literally everyone waits because there is only 1 server, who also makes the foods and packs the food. There are like 5 cooks in the back, at least 1 knows how to help sheessssssh.Secondly, the cashier line. My gosh, its always the guy cashier by himself. After you get ur deli food, you have tow wait another 10-15mins to check out. Like, literally, the guy cashier is on his phone while ringing ppl up, and he takes breaks between ringing ppl up to check his phone and text. Like brah, do you not see 15 ppl backed up in line. lol I dont ever come here unless its a holiday and no other stores are open.

I usually come here for food and most of the time, it’s really good.1. I asked for the $5 stick rice and the lady skimped out on me. They usually fill it up.2. The food was tasteless and I bought several things too!3. Several hours after I ate this, I had food poisoning and puked my food out and had diarrhea.Reported to MN Food Dept.

Noob zoo. This is a review of your pickle gai choy. The stems look old but my wife and ate it anyways because we trust your freshness and quality. We both had diarrhea an hour after that. So to the management plz don’t re sale old food. Some of us hmong people can tell. I will inform the mn health department to do a routine check up just to prevent this from occurring.

My first time here, I love how convenient and fresh the veggies are. This little market has a small inventory of dry goods, pots, pans, drinks, snacks, seasonings, frozen seafood, fresh veggies and best of all a pretty decent deli. This place just needs better customer service. The girl in the deli seemed irritated and annoyed when we asked about their papaya salad.

Koom Siab is my favorite grocery store to buy something good to share with my family. My family and I visited this place many times, and we were glad to take brown and white rice at home. But something a bit different than other Hmong stores. Their store was small and poor, it's not about money and ratings. Because they need to stay alive and happy to see everybody for many years. You don't understand that Hmong people were been it very hard to live in the USA. They're Asian American now and respected them as a family and friends. My words: "Only Asian foods and others for Hmong people and good people. NOBODY will be forced to shut down forever!"That's why I am also a Hmong American too!Instead of Black Lives Matter, here is my answer..."ALL LIVES MATTER".

Great little hmong place for hmong deli. Price is reasonable but for sure price of chicken wings went up. Papaya salad is a hit or miss depending on who is making it. Aisle can be cluttered with inventory at times which definitely needs to be taken care of. But overall I enjoy speaking to the elders whenever I'm there to grab some sticky rice and pork belly.

Small place and expensive items. Over charges on items and preferred not shop there. Papaya is not good to me

The cookers have an annoying habit of not listening when we don't want them to add certain food items into our papaya. They still make it with the ingredients that we requested we didn't want in our papaya. Like people could seriously have food allergies?? Don't you cookers know that? Shake my head.Furthermore for some reason when a friend had ordered papaya they proceeded to had skipped the friend order and gave two other people who came after my friend their papaya first. My friend waited 30 minutes only for them to turn around and ask the friend "What would you like to order"? Freaking serious?!!!!! We have been costumers of Koob Siab for a long time now. We've never complained to them when they get our order wrong or if the food tasted bad but this was the last straw. We understand that they are old and just trying to make a living. However enough is enough. We quit going there and will never go there again. Btw I really don't like how they shred the papaya up to small pieces and the papaya always taste super sweet. We always, always have to add lime to it. I don't recommend their papaya because it's super sweet. The only reason we get it here is because NL Oriental is too far of a drive. Also why do their naab vaam also known as tapioca coconut drinks sometimes have the soapy flavor to it? I don't know what it is but it taste like straight up soap!! I don't know if the coconut they have in there is overdue or something but it's nasty! It's always a gamble with their naab vaam so I never get it there anymore. I really hope they see this and tell their cooker to listen more!!Edit: Yes their lines tends to get super long. They usually only have 1 cashier register open even though there's two and then for their deli there is always 1 person available for you to order but that person is also going in and out of the kitchen. Which really backs up the line.

Always hit up this spot for their deli food. My only dislike is their eggrolls, it's greasy and filled mostly with cabbage with very little to no meat. Their service is lacking and on busy days, there are lines for the deli and cashier. I've walking out a few times after going in and seeing people line up for deli/cashier. Or i'll not make my full order just because i feel guilty holding up 8 people behind me as I ask them to make papaya salad. If im doing this, im sure there are others doing the same. Losing out on customers due to unorganized service.
