Kennedy transmission has gained my trust. I started scheduling my oil changes here for the last 3+ years. Now, the mechanic and staff have taken the time and diagnosed more than a few issues I was having with my jeep that my dealership couldn't figure out. They continue to impress me and they care!! Being a female dealing with repair issues, it means so much.

I'm a first time customer and I'm very impressed. I was dealing with pulsating brakes in my 2021 Silverado. The truck is still under warranty, but brakes aren't covered by the dealership. I went to Kennedy Transmission & Brakes in Plymouth without an appointment and they were willing to get me in right away. Jim took it for a test drive and knew immediately it was the rear brakes. I bought a Kennedy Club Card and was able to apply a $25 discount for the brake job and $10 for a tire rotation. I recommend anyone considering getting service there to buy a Club Card. There are a bunch of good deals. The truck is running smoothly now. I'm really happy I took my vehicle to Kennedy Transmission Brakes and Automotive.

My 2007 Avalanche started making a humming noise while driving from Az to Mn. I took the truck to another shop first that couldn't tell where the noise was coming from so they referred me to Kennedy Transmission Plymouth (KTP). I called Jake on a Wednesday but they were too busy to look at and had me drop truck off on Sunday night for Monday appointment. Jake called later that day and said that rearend had gone out & it was going to be $2750, I needed the truck back so I said ok. On Wednesday or Thursday, I talk to Jake again and he tells me that they rebuilt the rear end but didn't replace the ring & pinion because it looked good & they wanted to save me money (only $1,750 now) but that the rearend still makes noise, I tell Jake that I have to leave this coming weekend to be back in Phoenix. Jake says KTP is going to go back through the rear end and see what's going on, it's Friday afternoon and I haven't heard back from shop so I start calling and calling at 3:30 because the shop closes early at 4:00, I never hear back from them. I book a rent a car on Saturday and leave on Sunday because I need to be back in Arizona. On Monday I get a call from Jake saying the truck is done, Jake tells me that he wanted one of his better mechanics to go through the rearend because the first mechanic isn't as good. I tell Jake that I've left the state and am selling the truck to a man named Antonio and authorize Jake to release truck to him, Antonio picks up the truck takes it home and parks it in his garage because I lost my title and have to request a new one from Texas, it takes about a month. On September 11, 2023 Antonio meets up with my friends to exchange cash for car title and on September 14, 2023 Antonio calls me to tell me that rearend is making a grinding noise and that when he pulled fluid filler bolt there's shavings on the magnet, the truck has gone 121 miles since I paid the $1,750. Antonio wasn't calling me because he wanted it fixed, he called me because he thought I got ripped off. I called Jake right away told him the situation and he said that if it's something we did that they would warranty it so I tell Antonio to take it back & let them look at it. Antonio took the truck in last week and just got a call from the owner, Mike, on September 26, 2023 saying that it was going to be $3,500 and who was going to be responsible for this repair since he wasn't familiar with the truck or it's new owner, Antonio. I called Jake to verify who called Antonio, he said Mike and I said Antonio will be picking up the truck.

He saw me diagnosing my blinker issue in the parking lot. When I came in the office to ask for assistance he knew what to do and was already putting his gloves on. He took the back light assembly off, replaced bulbs, and I was back in action in less than 15 mins. It was on to the next one, for both of us.I sometimes feel like I go overboard for others and it was nice have that feeling reciprocated. That’s what I needed today.

We have used this business for years-always happy with them. Jake recently went above and beyond to fix my headlight on my Lincoln zephyr-first changing the headlight which burned out again- then diagnosing it needed a whole new unit - and then putting that in for me as soon as the part was received. Honest, highest integrity, very fast response. He definitely cares and wants to do a great job. I would absolutely recommend him- and this business.

Our suburban's transmission failed exiting 494 onto #55…..and there was Kennedy Transmission with Jake at the desk! That suburban managed to coast and roll into the perfect repair shop 67 miles away from home. Jake asked for the keys, told us he'd install a new transmission and he'll call when finished. Jake had us back into our suburban in two days! He even took care of an engine oil leak hidden by transmission. I consider Jake a talented master mechanic who cares about his customers.
