I used to be a apprentice for “one year”to Drew Peterson and Gabrielle G. in the Contemporary Art Lab. It was during the beginning of the Pandemic in June that I got “layoff” and maybe the other apprentices got “layoff” as well. The feeling I got when I was on a phone call with Drew, I already was heartbroken from my pet’s unexpectedly heart attack few months ago and this one took the cake because this was my very first paid job. Finally I just read the email very closely and this word “streamline” was interesting to me. It means that in a business setting it removes the unworthy to let the other people who are worthy to stay in the business, to those who already been in the business “the old timers”. The newcomers get “layoff” because some of them don’t show value even tho they are really hard workers and on time like me. Instead they just “layoff” because of the “old timers” who already been in the business longer. Now I feel betrayed the third time because I already been betrayed twice and now the third time. I felt being used after I look closely at the word in the email. This time I will not being USED again now and forever. I will not forgive JuxaArts did to me and I will ignore them like they don’t exist to me. That why I give you a one star and I will not accept your apology to me. Good Day;)

Absolutely Incredible! The kind of community art space you ideally hold in your mind, except here it’s real. As a veteran arts educator with over 15 yrs of experience this place is what I hope the students in the schools I have taught within would have access to outside of my classroom. Hands down amazing!

I've been working here for four years and let me tell you, no other place has helped me grow more as an artist. The VAULT program is pretty great too! Highly recommend checking one of their events out.

Very talented graffiti art currently on exhibit. However, no one greeted nor spoke to us the entire 30 minutes we were there.

A fellow graffiti lovin' friend told me about an art gallery event that was happening today. I couldn't resist popping in! I love art and yes, I admire graffiti art too. The wall was painted besides the skate park was painted in 3 days by 3 graffiti artists that have been tagging for around 40 year together! I was blown away that was done in just 3 days!! I happened to start chatting it up with one of the gals that was part of the gallery/skate park (she might have been the owner. Dang being deaf and not catching everything said!!) and said they have actually been here for 24 years!! She shared that they have programs for teens (14-22) to teach them art and employ them. What a beautiful, touching part of the community they are!! The gallery itself was ultra clean, modern, and adorable. I was just so impressed all around with the space & their mission!

One of the best art non-profits in the country! I love what JXTA does in and for the community. 11/10 points for them.
