I’m so excited to start this program! Really looking forward to what programs this place has to offer. I really would love to start a doula program. Or nursing program!

I’m a 2017 Spring graduate of the Jeremiah Program-Minneapolis campus! Jeremiah Program helped make my dream come true of being an RN! I worked hard to accomplish this but the JP program/ staff and my fellow JP mom’s supported me with all resources and loved me and my son through the hard times and celebrated our successes! I’ve been an RN for almost 5 years and hands down, the best decision I made for me and my son! I’ve smashed above that poverty line now and taught my son that you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to! Thank you God for JP!

Amazing program helping single moms and their kids move from poverty to prosperity by obtaining career track education, offering safe affordable housing, excellent early childhood development and life skills training.

The program seemed to be a good place for me and my child while I earned my degree. I was a 4.0 student, helped moms as much as I could, went to all my meetings with my coach. During empowerment one of the girls I had met there son, who was 3 years old, had a teacher pinch his nose to be playful, but that bruise hurt the child and was on him for more than a week, was not professional at all. She said she moved in early due to her situation, but still had to go thru empowerment but was looking at termination her lease because the Jeremiah program wasn’t what it was cut out to be. I still went into the Jeremiah program because I still believed maybe the program would be good for my family and for myself. My grandfather passed away an event happened that involved 3 girls. I was Thrown under the bus and said to the ladies I had to be honest about the situation because I can’t go down for the behavior. I can take some of the blame but it was not just me. They got mad, next thing I knew I had a girl banging at my apartment screaming trying to break in and it was scaring my son. Neighbors could hear everything. I called the police. There were 5 girls out side my apartment. And they decided because I called the police to go to managment and make false accusations, saying I said I was going to have my brother shoot them. But I do not have a brother and I wouldn’t even entertain in that kind of stuff. Jeremiah program believed the he said she said behavior but didn’t believe physical proof. The girl who started all this is still living there. I was forced out of my lease but said I was taking this to court. Because I had done nothing wrong to be evicted. So they wanted to pay me to leave, at this time they offer me this, my family is no longer safe because one of the girls is threatening me and my son. So I believe they wanted me to leave more for the safety of me and my son. It was easier to kick one girl out than 3 others. Because they would not tell me exactly what I did or supposedly said. I was paid to leave. Another girl was kicked out because she was in the military and had a military training to attend which was orders given by the military that she had to obide by. She would miss school because it was the summer course. They kicked her out for that, even after she came to them with a schedule because she was able to have the school be understanding. The Jeremiah program is too good to be true. There are girls smoking in the apartments affecting other ladies and kids asthma, who still live there. Another 2 girls got kicked out for arguing in the parking lot defending their kids. The Jeremiah program has lack of empathy for the girls who actually have real life situations. Us single parents deal with challenges every day. We constantly have obstacles thrown in our way. But never did I think that Jeremiah program would be another obstacle I’d have to face. The obstacle of being homeless with a child. And being failed by the program. Many girls believe we are just a paycheck to the program. As mothers we want stability for our kids, and the Jeremiah program is not stable. You are still considered homeless to the state of you attend the Jeremiah program because they are known for ending a lease for reasons normal apartments wouldn’t. It’s not permanent. The turn out rate is high. More people left or got kicked out than people who entered the program in the 4 months I was there. Which is sad. Something needs to change within the program to better assist moms. I really hope mothers consider entering the program because there may be better sources out there for you ladies. This place has got worse over the years as we have been told by older residents. We deserve better than what the Program offers us and our families.

Jeremiah program is a great non profit program that helps women with children go back to school while living in affordable housing and offer other programs that they would not be able to get otherwise. If you have a child and are thinking of going back to school but don't know where to start this is the place you should call to get more information.

Used my trauma as a woman of color to make a fraudulent flyer to solicit donations. A child was sexually assaulted by another child in the mpls daycare facility and the abused child was forced to leave to protect their safety. Child that committed abuse not removed from facility.

A very worthwhile organization. Helps single moms a lot and provides a safe environment for them and their children.
