Hiway is going to ruin its reputation by merging with Spire? Nice move... and who is the 16 year old in marketing who decided "Blaze" was the most professional name for the merger? Will be moving on once the merger happens for sure.

I closed an account with Hiway. Apparently my check got "lost" in the mail do to an address issue even though I have been receiving other mail from them without issue. When I asked for a reprint they stated that MN Uniform Code 336.3-312 prevented them from doing so. I am not a lawyer but the code reads as though I cannot enforce a reprint of the check until after 90 days have passed, it doesn't state that they cannot issue a stop payment and resend the funds. They did read a disclosure stating that they would not reissue the check prior to me closing the account so fair enough but I'm out of state and this was my only option for closing the account. Maybe it's above board but the whole situation is very suspicious. Personally I would not advise trusting them with your money. This is actually not the first time I've had issues with this bank. They handled a mortgage refi for me back in 2020, they exceeded the 60 day rate lock period at which point rates dropped even lower. When I tried to get the lower rate they cited a 15 day window in which they could enforce the old rate. I question whether or not that window would be enforced had rates gone up. Again I really don't know it just seems suspicious. I've never had these issues arrise with other financial institutions.

Please be aware of this credit union they have absolutely no customer service and keep charging me insurance on my truck that i have insurance on and keep in mind they charge double my normal insurance premiums. I have called several times been treated like complete trash been hung up on been swore at and they still have not resolved a single thing they now just charged me another 3k in insurance on this 2016 gmc that I have leaving me to owe more than what I originally paid for the truck I am now almost up to 70k for a truck with 140k miles the load keeps going up because they keep charging me insurance they also raised my payment by 200 dollars without my consent I am in the middle of taking legal action because the bank has no desire to make this right they are absolutely screwing me over as a customer and they do this to others as well I have a friend that has a loan through them as well and is going through similar issues. PLEASE READ THIS AND TAKE MY REVIEW INTO CONSIDERATION TO NOT USE THIS BANK FOR ANY OF YOUR LOAN NEEDS IT IS A COMPLETE HEADACHE!

This place doesn't cash its own checks they give to they're own members,my grandfather a retired command sgt major, and I'm a vet myself,wrote me a check for Christmas,I went in to cash it because the branch is close and the manager told me they don't cash they're own checks,and that's they're policy,,when I asked why that was?she said "everyone was doing that now in banking"..this place should be ashamed of itself, if could give zero stars I could.

We've been Hiway members for a long time. Recently contacted them for duplicate paperwork on an old loan and got a personal call back, friendly service, and a direct line to the person who helped me so I wouldn't have to wait in hold if I needed any additional help. This is exactly why we continue with HFCU! Besides great rates, excellent online banking, and a stellar credit card department, the service is unmatched!

I can't say anything about membership since I am not a member. I called inquiring about fees and was given the runaround by someone who thought they were a politician. I had to ask my question for five times before I got the answer I was looking for. Some of their staff needs to attend Customer service training

I've banked here for many years and have had several accounts through Hiway. Their staff are very honest and helpful. It feels like a small town bank versus corporate banking. I've travelled several times for free w my credit card reward points and their fraud department is on point.
