Unprofessional, lazy, inconsistent. Constantly does not collect our recycling cans that are placed as well as they can be within our tight alley. Often knocks over our trash cans without regard. Sometimes comes before 7am to wake us up (before city ordinance noise hours), sometimes doesn't come at all. Wish I could give zero stars, wish we could go back to street collection.

Eureka stated to the city that our cart wasn't pushed out. We had it pushed out the night before, it was super windy. If the wind pushing it down equals cart not being pushed out, then eureka should come up with an alternative. Not like they ever collect extras in paper bags anyway! The most unprofessional company ever, makes me question how much lying they must enjoy doing. Shame on Eureka, city of st. Paul it's time for you to find a better solution. Eureka deserves ZERO stars

Constant missed pick-ups (and partial pick-ups, that I have to clean up myself). I've lost count of how many times I found my recycling can tipped in the middle of the road. Thought it was kids till I caught Eureka.I will say that half the time they are perfect. But the weakest link breaks the chain.

Love the way y’all block in a whole line of people for 20 minutes when there’s clearly two sides of the road

I don’t know what poor working conditions or poor workmanship is the issue but time and time again I come home from work to a missed pickup or a mess of recycling shattered or leaflets of paper about. It’s a crime that there’s no other service that we can utilize.

Just watched our recycling guy use the claw to make a huge mess behind our house wonderful. Come back and clean it up you shouldn't have a job. Gotta wait 2 more weeks for you to come back and dump the whole can. I hope you suffocate in trash

Just awful you can’t even leave a voicemail to file a complaint no one’s responding. This is the fourth time they haven’t picked up our trash or recycling and everybody else and I check my Ken. It’s completely legal there’s nothing illegal in it. The person is just lazy.

Update: Its been two years since my original review and nothing has changed. My recycling doesn't get picked up at least once a month.Eureka is about as horrible as they come. They don't pick up half the time. When they do, they don't empty the barrel completely. Their drivers are absolutely reckless. Last year they took out my mailbox when the driver was driving without the arm being properly retracted. Yesterday I saw he was driving with the arm not being secured again. I guess its easy not to care when you win big city contracts.

Most worthless place . 3 weeks in a row they skipped my mother's house who is handicapped. Every week I called..every week they had some lame excuse. Lazy employees. I'm sure someone in the city government officials probably the mayor is getting a kickback from them.

Just got off the phone with Eureka as I had three questions re recycling. I am a big recycler so will recycle anything that Eureka takes. I often look at the Ramsey County website re recycling and composting. Every year Ramsey County also has USPS deliver a recycling guide, apparently to every address in St. Paul. I could not find an answer online or in the paper guide for my three questions so I called the Eureka # (651-633-3279). I got an outgoing message saying that due to a "labor shortage" I might be on hold for a while. Surprisingly, I was on hold for only about 20 minutes (I was envisioning at least twice that). I was completely dissatisfied with the response I got from the gal to my questions:1. Are plastic cards the size of a credit card (i.e., promo offers from Xfinity) that have a recycle icon with the number 1 inside it recyclable? According to the Ramsey County info--online and the paper guide--#1 plastic containers are recyclable so I wondered if these #1 plastic cards were. The gal I talked to didn't seem to know so told me to throw them in the trash.2. Aluminum foil is supposed to be recyclable (depends on the city but a few years back I checked and foil was recyclable in St. Paul). So, I was wondering if the foil "lids" that are on large and individual serving sizes of yogurt (and probably other products) are recyclable. The gal I talked to today didn't know. I guess I'll have to make a phone call to the city of St. Paul.3. Paper--including envelopes, newspaper, office paper--are all recyclable. I used to toss in smaller pieces of paper (i.e., post-it notes, note pad paper, etc.). I had read or heard recently that smaller pieces of paper (post-it note size) should not go into recycling as it's too small and is often missed when the recycling is being sorted. Well, post-it notes come in a variety of sizes so saying anything the size of a post-it or smaller shouldn't go into recycling is ambiguous. Today I mentioned that to this gal and asked if there was a specific size (i.e., 2" X 2"). All she did was read from the manual which says nothing about the size of paper. Disgusted, I said "forget it" and hung up. For any of the questions I posed, she could have said, "That's a good question. Let me see if I can ask someone else." It was clear that she didn't want to do anything more than recite what was in the manual.

They seem to just pick and choose when they want to pick up recycling. Our whole block hasn't had a pick up in weeks and the cans are located in an alley that is not effected by ice or hills. Garbage always gets picked up without a problem.
