Clancys has moved from Linden Hills to 38th and Grand. They are in a lovely spacious storefront. I've always loved their products, and was most favorably impressed with their new location. Go visit and stay for a yummy sandwich and some wine and/or beer. You'll be glad you did.

Seriously impeccable sandwiches. Full of tasty ingredients on a crispy delightful baguettes.
The raw grated horseradish in rosemary turkey was busting with flavor goodness. The others are delicious as well.
Fast friendly service.

Beautiful butcher and deli shop.
We stop to get sandwiches. The staff was friendly and professional. The sandwiches were very good, and when they mean that it comes with everything, they are not lying!

Recommended by the florist (Fleur) and WoW ? the tuna sandwich, I know I know, tuna? Yes ? … on another level! I rarely write reviews but this needed to be documented!
Go and get this sandwich, you will be blown away!

This is a review on the butcher shop side, not the restaurant side..
I got in on a Sunday around 1pm looking to grab some steaks for dinner. They not have your typical cuts in the case, it was a lot of pork and special meats. This isn’t a big deal, they had what I was looking for in back and were willing to cut it fresh for me. I was super excited by this. I told her how thick I wanted them and they were cut, not well like you would expect to see at a butcher shop. They had a lot of connective tissue and what I would describe as silver skin. No big deal, I paid and when I paid I noticed a sign that says there is a %10 transaction fee on all purchases, this also isn’t a huge deal but if you are going to be placing a larger for multiple pounds of meat, this is going to come into play real fast.
Last things is the most important and that is the quality of the meat. I will gladly pay top dollar for top quality steak. The two ribeyes I made were disappointing to say the least. The two fillets look okay, but I packed those for my wifes lunch the next 2 days so the jury is out.. I made them exactly how she likes so if she loves them I will chalk the ribeyes to being a one off, but if she is disappointed in the fillet, it’s going to be hard to
Go back.

Ok I love Clancey’s and I tried to send them private feedback but no email on their website. I was in a couple weeks ago to their new location, which I was so excited to learn about, and it’s very attractive, and the sandwich and soup were ultimately same good quality, but it was so disorganized trying to order and get my food! The menu is a little hard to find bc it’s not next to the ordering place, which is also hard to find - is it at the cashier or the other end?? Hard to tell. Another woman in front of me was also having a hard time figuring out how/when/where to pay even though she’d already ordered. It took 4 staff a bunch of confusing conversation to figure out whose sandwich was whose. So - Clancey’s I love you and maybe it was just a bad day but seems like you might need a little more intentional design of the customer experience. I’ll be back tho!
