Birchbark Books & Native Arts is a wonderful, quaint, and beautiful local bookstore with a focus on Indigenous American culture, art, and books. It is operated by a spirited collection of people who believe in the power of good writing and the strength of Native culture. The store has an amazing selection of books by both Native and non-native authors, lovingly chosen. There is also an assortment of handmade gifts and art made with care. The staff are very friendly, genuine, and exceptional, offering good suggestions and helpful recommendations. The intimate shop is tended with care, providing a great selection that includes a dedicated section for the owner's many books. It is a small bookstore where visitors can also find unique items like a confessional and enjoy shopping locally.
Really made me think. Will return again for more inspiration! Store is also thoughtfully organized (for example, cookbooks are by food gifts for sale); rich in character.

This bookstore is really beautiful and has a great selection of both native and non-native authors. There are also an assortment of handmade gifts that are clearly made with care. When I was there today one of the employees helped me find some horror books. They had lots of good suggestions and were friendly and genuine.
