i always said of poor quality companies....if they can't earn it they will steal it. lakes gas in Milton is a company of thieves. i would discourage doing business with these crooks.

Always been good to me. Before first fill they came out and checked my tank and even put a new regulator on because mine leaked and they always come in a timely manner to fill my tank.

I have used Lakes Gas for over 10 years and this year I needed them to deliver 201 gallons and at first I had an issue but after taking time to talk with me they helped me out and put the fuel in for me. I would recommend this company for your propane needs.

We had Lakes Gas for seven years and it was a lot of headache. We were on a charge account yet they still failed to fill our propane as needed. So twice we had to schedule and pay for an emergency trip even though it was their mistake. Now after we moved to a new (much better!) company we were given the final bill and even after many miscellaneous charges we were owed a refund. 6 months later the refund never came so I stopped in the office. I was told they would reprocess it and send to corporate. 3 more months later still no refund and I called and was told that corporate decided we are not owed a refund. I asked for a new itemized final bill that shows this change (of almost a thousand dollars) and was told it would be emailed immediately and I still haven't received. Anyway, moral of the story choose another company no matter what.

We have used Lakes Gas unfortunately for 35 years. The prices for their services are simply outrageous. If you run low, they charge you $50 for a leak test then another $125.00 for delivery if it is less than 5 days out. That's on top of their 300 gallon minimum charge and at mid winter prices, anything less than 300 gallons spikes up to $2.299 a gallon when 300 gallons or more is $1.649 a gallon. That's a .65 cents per gallon price gouge factor. So now, 299 gallons would cost you $687.40 plus $50 leak test plus $125 special delivery now for a total of $862.00. After all the times they gouged us for these unfortunate gouging fees, we decided to drop them mid winter and go with a more service friendly company even if they charge a few cents more per gallon, their customer service is superior.

Have to give them one star because I can't give none.. absolutely terrible! It took them 3 weeks to fill out tank when we had a $300 credit on our act. This week we needed gas they came out we are on COD but the “check wasn't there†the check fell off the tank and was in the snow. The can't even call to check.. .. let's hope what's in the tank will last till next week. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. We will be changing companies..

Have not had any problems, this was the tank that was at home we bought. Unfortunately we were too late to get in on last year contract price, so gas was pretty high. We tried for quotes from other company but they would not even give us a price. Lakes gas this year again.

Stay away from this company if you can. I have only dealt with them for two years but it's two years too long! When we first purchased our home the tank was here so we continued to use it. The first issue we had was a faulty gauge, which "sticks" so you think you have fuel until you run out. Then not only to they charge you for emergency fuel but instead of fixing the equipment they just turn the gauge sideways on the tank and say "read it like that.". B.S. right? On another occasion, was told they would come on Monday to bring fuel, our usual day is Wednesday but it was a holiday week so I figured that was the reason for Monday. Nope, surprise the driver shows up the Wednesday before Monday (we are c.o.d. so no check no fuel) driver flips out on me because they always come on Wednesday and he tells me I'm lying about the office telling me Monday. Meanwhile, remember c.o.d..... got billed twice, after I paid c.o.d. and check cleared bank. When I call to tell them I shouldn't have a bill they treat you like crap. Now last week called for fuel, was told Monday again, I said are you sure? She says let me ask Larry he's the manager. Yes Monday I'm told. It's Monday no fuel, I call to say hey could you fix this in your office? They put Larry on the phone and he instantly starts screaming at me! Really? This is the management? Seriously stay away they are incompetent, rude and unreliable.
