They do basic car maintenance, and the mechanic told me that they no longer do insurance related repairs, so I had to schedule with another company down the road. I sat in the customer area for about 20 minutes and waited for someone to help, but no one did, so I looked for a service representative and asked where do I go, and they finally pointed me into the right direction. My Used Ram 1500 had a damaged Keyfob and I wasn't able to start it and was stranded at a campground. RedHead Nick in the service dept. recommended a tow service to get my truck to their facility in Marshall .I wasn't there for more then 1/2 hr and I was out the door. Thank You Nick & the rest of the crew. It saved my first trip to that part of the state.

I highly recommend Lockwood Motors in Marshall Mn. My adult daughter and I had been looking for a used car (around her budget) for several weeks. It was frustrating and exhausting dealing with salesmen (some pleasant/some not-so-pleasant) and traveling out of town several times to accomplish a purchase. We finally decided on a car we looked at a couple weeks prior in Marshall (90 minutes away). The purchase ended up a "no-go" so we decided to look at one last dealershipwhich was Lockwood Motors before leaving town. We were fortunate to to have John Afdem for our salesman. He greeted us with a continuous smile, was very helpful, showed a high level of interest in helping us accomplish our goal, easy to talk to and wasn't "pushy". We purchased the cutest vehicle from John and we feel very lucky that we had him as our salesman.We ended our long search on a very pleasant note. Thank you John!Forgot a very important thing:My daughter has an illness that prevented us from picking up her car ASAP...so John graciously offered to have her car delivered...90 miles away. We appreciated that so much!!!

My husband and I had been considering trading in our van for a while. He found what we were looking for online at Lockwood. When we arrived at the dealership we were met with the most delightful salesperson. Kathy was most helpful answering all our questions. The fun began after they check out our trade in vehicle. Let the negotiations begin. It started out as one might expect, but we like to have fun so in addition to countering prices, I threw in a demand for a quantity of Schwan's ice cream. Chet gave us a very generous, but fair offer for our car. We left for a while to think about the deal. When we returned, I was still in the mood for more fun, so I rescinded the demand for the ice cream and in fun, suggested something else instead. Negotiations concluded and since we had other obligations, we made arraignments to return in a couple of days to finish the deal. We had so much fun with Kathy, Chet and Perry. Thank you for the special surprises. The Lockwood cooler tote was not expected. You're the best!!!

Buyer Beware!!! I would give zero stars if This dealer is horrible. Highly unprofessional, terrible customer service, and poor communication.I would NOT recommend this car dealer to my worst enemy.Story time:I had been in contact with the dealer for about a week in regards to one of their vehicles. They had told me if I wanted to look at and purchase the car to be at the dealer before 2pm on Saturday. I had asked if I could put money down to reserve the vehicle and they said they don't do that because of the off chance that you don't buy it and they are then out of a sale.I drove all the way from Nebraska to Marshall, MN (8 hours just to get there). I arrived around 11:30 (way before 2pm). When I got there and went into the dealer I was told that I would not be able to see the car today and that it had been taken to the repair shop. Who tells someone to arrive before 2pm and then the vehicle isn't even on the lot?!?I then asked if there was anyway I could even just see the vehicle. So after about 30min we drove to the repair shop and the car salesman was walking around the shop trying to get in. One of the body repair guys let us in to the shop. We went in and I got to look at the car and sit in it, but I wasn't allowed to drive it because cars were piled all around it. I decided to purchase said car, so we went back to the dealership to talk numbers.When we got to the dealership they quoted the car for 35k. I had a text from a different salesperson for 30k. They tried hiking it up by 5K! Get quotes in writing so they don't try to do this to you. The salesperson we were dealing with then went back to get the owner to check on that price.To our surprise the owner then came into the room to talk with me. My mother was in room as I am only 21 and have never purchased a car before. The owner of Lockwood motors said, " I will honor the original quote you were given, but the vehicle is already sold about an hour ago." Basically someone put money down on the vehicle before we had even arrived at the dealership. I had asked to do that earlier and they said that you can not do that. And the whole time we were there the vehicle had already been sold and there was NO COMMUNICATION to us. My mother asked the owner what he was going to do about this issue because we had come all this way and were tricked into believing that I could purchase this car. He is yelling in the room at this point and turns to my mother and said, "haven't you ever made a mistake???" I absolutely had enough! I pointed at my mother and said, "she is a physician. She makes a mistake and that's someone's life and they die". The owner threw his hands in the air like an absolute child and left the room. I had never seen anything so unprofessional in my life.This has definitely ruined my first car buying experience. This dealership is an absolute joke and should be turned into the better business bureau. Needless to say I did not buy a car, and no one should from them. They do some sketchy shady business. I will gladly take my money elsewhere to an honest business
