I use this location to pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy. It's all the way in the back of the store.Normally I use the drive though which is not to bad of a wait and it's nice to save your card on file and they can just charge it. When you go into the location it's a little different.Normally not to busy. If it is busy and your doing a refill and have to wait for it. They don't let you skip the line once it's ready, you have to go all the way to the back of the line and wait again.Worse experience was when it was really busy, and I had to wait in line 3 times because when they said it was ready they messed up. And I had to go to the way back. Finally the gentleman felt bad I was waiting for do long, so when it was finally ready he did let me skip the line. But I was there for 2 hours.Other than that bad experience, it normally isn't too bad.

Wow.... so very rare to have an employee go out of their way to help....especially within a half hour of closing time. I came to print a few photos off to get signed by Twins players the following day at TwinsFest. The employee "TRENT" didn't rush me even though I know it was close to closing time...he went above and beyond to help & make sure that I was satisfied with my photo prints...I haven't seen someone so young be so respectful/helpful in a retail setting in a very very long time. Normally when I shop in this area (near Maplewood mall) ...it doesn't matter the store, but the customer service is just plain horrible. This visit was pleasantly so surprising that I felt the need to go out of my way to write this review. Good job Trent. I hope you get a pad on the back at the very least!

This is the absolute worst Walgreens you could possibly go to in the state. They are constantly out of medication, understaffed, hold times on the phone are up to an hour, there are lines in the drive-through and lines inside. Their intercom system for the drive-through is atrocious; when you talk to them all they hear is Kenny from South Park. I requested two prescriptions recently through the app, and one of the prescriptions got filled, and the other said “action needed” and that I needed to call. When I called, they said that I needed to request the prescription. This is a pharmacist error, not mine. Instead of a one hour turnaround, they told me it would be ready tomorrow. I guess I’ll wait yet another day for my heart medication.

They “misplaced” two vial of insulin from my 10 year old boy and refused to let me check the bags when picking up his meds. The manager won’t replace the insulin they “misplaced.” So now I have to somehow replace two vials ($700) worth of insulin that they didn’t give me in an empty bag during Christmas. That’s my mortgage payment. They don’t care about their patients and don’t care if they mess up their meds. They move you through like McDonald’s and if they get it wrong they don’t care.if you try to check your meds, they’ll scream at you.

Awfully slow workers. The pharmacy moves at a molasses pace and expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes to pick up a prescription.

Had a prescription sent to the Whitebear Ave. And beam location in Maplewood, MN. It has been over 24 hours and still nothing. So I called the automated system and it says that the prescription is still processing. I tried calling the pharmacy and they just keep you on hold. Sat there for 25 minutes with 3+ callers ahead of me the whole time. I finally called the store manager and she just said they are short staffed. They have been saying that for over a year. She told me I could call another pharmacy and they could call and switch it over. I said you guys don't answer the phone how are they supposed to call. Then she said to call my doctor and have them switch it. This is totally ridiculous. People need their medication. I have a scratched cornea and need ointment for it. My vision is gonna be messed up because you guys can't fill a prescription or answer the phone. I'm done with Walgreens! Garbage!

Terribly inefficient pharmacy. Be prepared to wait several hours to have prescription filled, plus a long wait in line to pick up. Typically only one cashier.

Worse drive up window ever. The staff are all great, but there is always a long line, snails, I think, move faster. Going inside sometimes worse. They need way more staff

The pharmacist mumbled at me under her breath while she let one of her staff wave me away.Backstory: My Neurologist didn't answer the call to fill a prescription this week when I submitted it, and I had a busy work week. Walgreens had already filled an "emergency supply" for 3 days, but would not let extenuating circumstances break with policy to protect a person. While I was frustrated, I never disrespected the staff, but I left disheartened that people were literally complacent about letting a stranger not have access to epilepsy medication - it's not habit forming and it is critical that I take it daily for the safety of myself, my children, and those around me as I may need to work/drive. Instead of practicing compassion they chose to blame me. I'll never shop at this location again, and I'm not sure if I will ever fill a prescription at a Walgreens again.

Filled a few prescriptions here and the prescription filling process was fast but the pickup service is very slow! All the times I came to pick up my prescription I was in line for more then 30 minutes! It’s not even rush hour. I tried both inside and outside. There are a lot of people working but no one wants to do customer service and help check people out!

Save yourself the headache and send your prescription literally anywhere else. The pharmacists here are completely incompetent. My fiancé had a prescription sent over, they completely missed 1 medication. When he had a follow up appointment because (surprise, surprise) the medication that was missing was *necessary* to his healing, a 2nd prescription was sent here for 3 medications. When he picked up his meds, yet again- 1 of his meds was missing. He went back in & was told by the pharmacist they don’t know how to make this medicine & needed to get in touch with the urgent care doctor. He was told they would contact him in a couple of hours when the order was fulfilled. 5 hours later & still no contact, he could not get a hold of them over the phone. He went in person & was told yet again, they don’t know hot to fulfill this order & told him he would need to go to urgent care to sort it out. The urgent care doctor told him that the pharmacist absolutely should have been able to fill this prescription. Don’t they have to go to school for this? How can you be a pharmacist and not know how to fulfill a prescription?
