I picked Sherwin Williams because I was told it was the best paint and the employee's are super knowledgeable. I bought a new place and am on a super strict timeline. I went in asking about the paint and the person who helped me, I feel like they didn't necessarily know or just didn't want to help me. I just needed to know if I needed any special paint to paint a basement. I was looking for more of an explanation of the different paints. Anyways, I chose my color. They ask if I want satin or eggshell. I don't know what that means so I got eggshell. I get to the house and start painting. this paint is a good 20 shades darker than the swatch I picked out. Because i'm on a tight timeline and I only had help that day, I had to mix with the white ceiling paint I had to lighten it up. If it was 1-5 shades different, I wouldn't have a problem. This is a completely different color. I spent so much money on this paint, i'm disappointed. I should have just went to home depot. When I got my ceiling paint from Home Depot they seemed more knowledgeable and experienced than these people. I regret going here so much. I also just called the 800 number and the customer service guy couldn't care less.

Bought some paint using a paint deck to choose the color. Bought 5 gallons. Got the paint home and it was not even close to what we wanted. Went back to the store and they have a no return policy. I respect that but felt like the paint color we chose vs the paint color we got was so far off that i did not want to eat the price of the very expensive paint. The manager Bryan worked with us for a solution that we both could live with. I really appreciate his willingness to help us out. We donated the 5 gallons of paint and was able to get the color we wanted. Lesson here is always ALWAYS spend the extra few dollars and get a sample of the paint you are thinking of using. Thank you Bryan and Sherwin Williams, we will be returning customers for all of our paint needs.

I went in with a color I needed. Was handed a sheet and told “pick a paint” with no explanation of products while I have no clue what I’m looking at or prices. I then asked for a recommendation for the job and she proceeded to tell me which one would work. Then told me that I would need a primer but “we don’t have any primer”. So I went to look at other color chips and wander around waiting for my paint. Another gentleman offered to help find a specific color if needed. I declined and kept wandering. Finally I look over and make eye contact with the girl that was helping me and apparently my paint was ready but she didn’t bother letting me know until I made eye contact with her doing something else while my paint sat on the counter. At checkout I asked her for sample colors and she informed me that they don’t have any sample cans because there’s a “national shortage”. So I paid for my gallon and went to Home Depot for my primer, samples and other 5 gallons of paint I needed. Was highly recommended to Sherwin Williams but I was not impressed and won’t be returning for any future products.

Clearly had no interest in assisting us. Stated goal of visit. Met with a shrug and pointed us to a color wall and advised us to go online. Guess they were not pleased about working a Saturday? Whatever the reason will not go back. Unlikely to purchase SW at all.
