I shopped in the Maplewood Goodwill store yesterday, 5/22/24, afternoon, and was very pleased with how friendly and helpful the staff, and even the other patrons, were to me. It was an overall positive experience (except someone benefited by getting to the bookcase I was seeking, but such is life), that I really needed. Thanks to all the kind people who were at that Goodwill yesterday!

I will never shop at Goodwill again. I was in there checkout line before 8 pm (store closing), and the manager would not let me purchase my items.He claimed that his cahiers were off work at 8 pm. I HOPE GOODWILL is still paying them because they were still checking people out after 8 pm. I worked in retail for several years, never treated customer that way. Also I have never been told I cant purchase something when I am in line before they close. This man also kicked a very sweet older women out that was behind me in line and she was crying when she came out of the store because she couldn't purchase her items. It was disgusting! Savers, Vincent Dupaul, Salvation Army, lots of local thrift stores besides GOODWILL. What a rotten way to treat people that shop there.

Racist white man went around the store and kicked out all of the POC five minutes before the actual store closed. Allowed all white people to continue shopping. :/

Neatest Goodwill I have been to and I managed the old Goodwill where U-haul is now for 2 years.. Even the toy area was straight and a young women was straightening as we left. Always drove by due to limited parking.

Sadly I did not have a good experience at this Goodwill location. I came in with items I was hoping to return that didn’t work out for who I purchased them for. Doesn’t help that they took away the fitting rooms so there is no ability to try things on. When I walked to the cashier , she was too busy talking to another employee and instead decided to continue to carry on her conversation with her as I stood at the desk waiting to be helped. Also had AirPods in her ear so wasn’t listening when I asked her a question about my items! Not professional at all! Then when it came time for me to be rung up for my exchanges , instead of her asking help since she didn’t know what to do, she walked away from the register and told me to go to the other cashier to be helped! Will not be visiting this location again!

Stopped at this Goodwill because I was in the area and I had stuff to donate in the back of my car. After making my donation I went in to look around and shop a little. After picking up (and putting down) several overpriced items, I realized that the lowest price I was seeing was $8.99! I did eventually see a few lower prices on some really cheap items-- some with original retail tags still on and lower than the Goodwill price. Now I wish I had saved my donation for a store that lower income people could afford.

I thought the goodwill employee would help my mom with the bags of clothing. The employee watched and instructed her where to put the things. I asked him about it and was told all goodwills aren’t the same ?

If I had the option to do zero stars I would, let me just start off with the rude employee. I come up to the register I have a sweater that says $2 right on the tag, she goes out of her way to get a price check when she sees the $2 tag. she then proceeds to price it as $9 when it originally said $2... when I asked her what the price was again because I was surprised, she repeated the $9 louder and more rude. I was being completely ethical and nice, so I'm not sure what her problem was or the pricing problem was. Best bet if this happens again I'm not going to let it slide.

I liked this goodwill for the fact that they had a ton of options for dresses and skirts and shorts. Good job yall!
