Store employees are lying to customers to get them to sign up for charge cards. I heard an employee lie to a customer telling them that the hard inquiry to apply for a credit card wouldn’t affect their credit and that it would be “gone off their report in a month”. Irresponsible and gross to see the GAP training employees to exploit people like that.
It was such an uncomfortably aggressive sell to this person that clearly did not want the card. And the topper of misinforming this person who clearly didn’t know anything about credit was really disgusting.
Gave me slimy vibes about the GAP and esp. that employee just listening to it. It made me uncomfortable enough to write this review. ? I felt like I could be at a Wells Fargo or a used car dealership. GAP, you need to check yourselves. This is how young kids ruin their financial lives. It’s extremely irresponsible and just plain smarmy.

I did all my Christmas shopping for my daughter at the Gap!! Great savings and options to choose from. My daughter ❤️ everything. My experience was a solid ten. The manager knows her stock and was very willing to assist me. Also, super nice!

I was just there looking for a very popular white crinkle pant, they did not have any left in the store, but the young lady behind the counter offered to call stores for me. After a lengthy process she found them. Both the manager and young lady at the register were a 10 in customer service.

They had what we needed and score, and everything we purchased was on sale. Prices were 1/2 off the tags.

The store itself was very clean. However, the items are extremely over priced (while I understand it is name brand, the prices are ridiculous). Not a wide size and colour variety for adults which again follows the theme of the store. These things would have garnered this store a 3 or four star review, however it deserves a two for the terrible service. When I came in I was looking at a jacket. I asked the cashier about the price as it was astronomical to say the least for a low quality and poorly designed jacket. After I asked, and outwardly was a bit hesitant to get the jacket, the cashier was quite rude and made me feel like I was absolutely wasting her time with my hesitant with sighing, foot tapping, and lurking. Would not visit again

The lady working in the Gap kids section was very rude and unwelcoming. When people cannot handle customer service they should quit the job and do something they are better at. I have observed this lady in the past as well always with some kind of attitude and never helpful.

This is the worst GAP outlet. I went to do a return and the lady at counter literally shouted on me and said these cannot be return here and you have to visit factory outlet. When I asked a few questions to understand it better she start raising her voice. It felt that I am doing something wrong by coming to return

In 2019 I bought a pair of toddler pants size 4 for my son, hoping to save it for him to wear. He was 3 at the time. Who would’ve thought Gap would forget to take the detector off of the pants. I stored the pants away since it didn’t fit my son yet. Today I bring in the pants from 2019 to have BABY GAP’s associate remove the detector and the store associate gave me a really hard time, asking for the receipt from 2019. Lady. I got busy, stored the pants away and my son can fit it now so I dug it back out. Smh funny to say 2019 was the last time I was at Baby Gap at Arbor Lakes and I am reminded again why I go to other locations and not this one.

I had to argue to return item with the receipt. It was purchased before lockdown from a store that wasn't even opened back up yet. She then wanted to give me store credit. It should be a no brainer. I stood my ground.

I arrived at the store at 8.10 pm at the most. I went specifically to purchase a pair of leggins i saw in December. I was looking something else and the manager said to me that they were closed. I replied that google says they close at 9 pm and she said that they can't make sure google shows the correct business hours... Very disappointing response. She mentioned that tomorrow they will open at 10 am. I'm traveling tomorrow not able to go back. I planned to be there at 8 pm so they should be sure google shows accurate information

To start out, I love GAP. I've been shopping there for years and used to work at GAP. That being said, I went there on a weekday and was the only customer in the store. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed help or talked to me at all during my 30 minute visit. The sales associate and manager stood at the cash register and talked the whole time. I was disappointed because I try to shop in stores because retail is a dying industry, but I was thoroughly disappointed. Do better.
