Honestly the initial visit was great. Helped my 2 year old out in a last minute/urgent situation but when we can back for a scheduled recheck my husband waited an entire hour and the receptionist said that there was still a long wait ahead of them so they ended up leaving without being seen by the provider. We still got charged for seeing the eye tech. Come to find out they aren’t allowed to turn patients away so if you have a scheduled appointment, you could wait hours to still be seen because of same-day appointments. I’m just disappointed in how they run their business despite having a positive experience with the provider (dr carpenter). Grateful for what they did for us in a pinch but won’t be going back.

I was very disappointed. The pre information was handled properly . However my experience with Dr Carpenter was not to be expected as a patient. He came into the office talking to an associate without even acknowledging that I was in the office not hello or even acknowledge I was in office. I had waited 20 minutes waiting outside in waiting area. I asked questions regarding not much improvement and even less in some areas . No response other than it was to be expected after surgery. I really cannot honor my next visit with him. Absolutely no regard for his patient. I hope that he understands that the people he serves are looking for help in his vocation and hopefully with note bad reviews he will change.Joe Finley

Dr. Carpenter couldn't understand why all I was seeing out of the new glasses was foggy. He sort of argued with me. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THAT PLACE TO ANYBODY.

Amazingly caring doctors! Dr Slama took the time to explain everything to me. She was so thorough. I also have experience with all the cataract surgeries at Mankato Mayo Hospital. The doctors are exceptional!!!!

I had a very good experience . Had an emgency issue that mean them working past regular hours. Dr Carpenter and Vickie were very kind and took care of the issue.

They refuse to take my call, I call again and they immediately hang up on me, and I didn't even get a chance to explain my reason of calling...horrible, I will not return again, although they still have to answer my call because it about my bill!!! If your reading this, ANSWER YOUR PHONES!!!! Its only 9am,....

Dr Birkholz is amazing and navigated my eye needs extremely well. I can not speak highly enough about my experience from start to finish at this facility with all employees. I would hands down come here again for Lasik or any eye needs vs driving to the Twin Cities.

Wait for 1.5 hours. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with them. Poor customer service. Also- if you want contacts, you need to make several appointments with several different contact fittings. Even if you feel comfortable in certain contacts (and have been for years), they refuse to give you your contact prescription until they find a contact they think fits your eye the best. Even if you already paid for your exam.

So far, I’ve had a great and Encouraging experience with Dr Carpenter and staff. I will be having cataract surgery soon and am excited to see without glasses in my future.

I'm very happy with the professional treatment I was given at Ophthalmology Associates. Everyone I had the chance to meet treated me with care and respect. Each member of the team is a professional and offered me their expertise.

Was really worried about our 2 1/2 year old getting examine because we have had bad/rude experiences with other nurses/doctors elsewhere; which created an anxiety for myself and my daughter. The receptionist was kind and friendly. The nurse was so patient and nice and Dr. Nathan was even better! They were all patient, kind, never pushed my daughter to do anything she didn’t like or want to do but tried their best to get an accurate exam. He was very informative on what we were concerned about. Although we will have to go back again to finish up it was a great experience.

I could not be more pleased with the outcome of my cataract surgery. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Birkholz for her skills and professional care.She and entire staff made it a stress free and comfortable experience!
