Clean store. Staff were nice and helped when we asked where something was. Bathrooms were also clean.

Went shopping here for items for a BBQ at my sister's house. The prices are very reasonable, the food was fresh and checkout was easy.

ok selection but expired food on shelves and major points off for no longer being open 24-hours so I shop at the competition that IS open 24-hours more frequently

This store used to have excellent customer service, but in the last year it has gone downhill. I dont see a lot of the employees that used to work here. The employees they have now are very unorganized and makes the atmosphere chaotic. Not to mention I thought this was an employee owned store and I have heard and witnessed employees not being very respectful to each other.

I'm going to be moving to town pretty soon, and I thought I'd check out my grocery options. They have a pretty decent selection of food. I did self checkout since I only got two items, and I got really confused about where my food was going after I scanned it. It went on a convayer belt, the a rolly thing where it slid downward. I amlost thought my sushi was going to flip over. Clearly anyone who saw my reaction, probably knew I wasn't from there or hadn't been there before. lol. I'll definitely be shopping here a lot.

I asked a local where should I buy salmon and they told me Hy-Vee has the best proteins and they were right. From the seafood counter I ordered four salmon filets and very large grilling shrimp. Both were freshly thawed and were hits off the grill. The new counter offered a huge selection of house made Brats for $10/10 so tried a few! An employee escorted me throughout the store for pumpkin seeds. Even though they were sold out she kept trying for me. Exceptional service.

hy-vee's are my favourite dining option for salad bar in south dakota. this one offers all-you-can-eat, buffet-type option, where you can select items from its chinese, italian, hot dinner and dessert sections, as well as the soup/salad bar. all the items i picked were excellent.

With tax, the "Grand Buffet" at Hy-Vee runs about $17.00. The quality & variety of food makes this a great deal! Included in this buffet is the Italian line, Chinese line, bbq line, salad bar, & dessert bar. The cornbread muffins were phenomenal. They had pieces of corn in them. The ribs were tender & had delicious seasoning on them. The only food I disliked was the meatloaf. It was mushy & didn't taste good. MAKE SURE TO TRY THE CORN BAKE! The pizza was fine, but nothing special. The apple dessert was great. The General Tso's chicken from the Chinese line had a great spice to it. The workers were great at cleaning the empty plates from the table. There wasn't a long line to wait in to get more food.

We had no clue what we wanted to eat, there were choices for everyone. Pizza, chineese, chicken, fish, etc.. and tons of sides and salads. Their salad bar is awesome.

I don't usually shop here, but after this trip I might become a regular! I stopped in to grab some stuff for a fondue dinner (shrimp & steak) and the employees were beyond helpful. I had quite a few questions and their recommendations and assistance was so appreciated!! The cashier and bagger were also super nice and it seemed like they actually enjoyed their jobs. The whole place was cheerful and there were really good samples too

Not only is there a wide selection of food, the prices are great, AND they deliver!!! Moved in recently. Have ordered groceries twice (free for $100 or more in an order). The produce they picked for me was better than I would have chosen for myself. In addition, the price which was charged was slightly less than I expected because of differences in amounts of food (by weight). Most importantly, the two different staff who delivered my order were both exceptional. Professional, quick, friendly, and reminded me of the obvious, which I did not remember until reminded--i.e. check your eggs, where do you want the frozen food, so I could choose to put it away first. Strongly recommend both the store and the service.

I was treated like garbage when I came in to look for dip, for a party. None of the employees could even remember what it was that I was looking for. 30 minutes later, I was told that they did not have the product. Well after doing some searching I found out that they did in fact have it (huh? funny how that works?) Needless to say I will go to the Walmart across the street from now on.

When I lived in downtown Kato, my place to shop was the downtown Hy-Vee. The staff was always very friendly and you could find what you wanted and not walk a mile around the store to find it. It is the best local grocery to get fresh meat for grilling. Also, they have a nice floral dept and bakery. The upper Hy-Vee has really good Chinese and a great selection of produce as well. Strangely, it has a lot of random gift ideas too, if you need one on the fly.

This is by far one of the greatest grocery stores in K-Town. But then again that's my opinion. The majority of the grocers in Kato seem to be cluttered. I found Hy-Vee to be one of the nicer places to get food, hands down. And they also have a better selection of organic foods than others. I rock the deli every time I venture through my stomping grounds purely to just walk around this place. Plus their deli seating is bigger than most mall food courts
