I was referred to Gunnar after I was struggling with back, hip and knee pain. I was weak and still in pain after completing weeks of physical therapy due to a fractured vertebrae and bilateral hip impingement. I started with sessions of M.A.T. and moved to personal training. I have learned the correct way to use machines for weight training with noticeable differences. An example of this, is that I started with 50lbs on the leg press and have met my goal of meeting 540lbs! Gunnar promotes a healthy lifestyle and helps me succeed in my training goals. The gym has more to offer than others and it's clean and convenient to use. Whether you're looking for pain relief, return to function, light exercise, or weight training, this gym offers it all.

Gunnar does a great job with his MAT and making your muscles work properly. He provides a caring and personalized environment and makes his patients feel like he truly cares about their wellbeing. I would recommend Gunnar to anyone!

If you are looking for a super clean gym with plenty of equipment and an amazing staff, this is the place to go! Very impressed with both the facility and the excellent customer service. Gunnar and Caleb make everyone feel very welcome. The personal training services are also top notch. The trainers are dedicated to making sure you meet your goals in a safe and healthy way. In addition, both Gunnar and Caleb have much more education than the average trainer in Mankato. I would highly recommend Gunstorm Muscle Health!

I have been doing M.A.T. sessions with Gunnar for a few weeks now and have noticed a vast improvement in my injured shoulder that has been intermittently aggravated for a few years. I have already been able to resume most physical activities and it is nice to hear personalized advice of what to do and what not to do instead of the generic rest and ice protocol I would get from conventional physical therapy. He is definitely passionate about what he does and the results reflect that. I am also 5 weeks in doing personal training with Caleb, and I have already made considerable strength gains, as well as corrected some imbalances, and bad form and habits I have picked up lifting off and on by myself for 15 years. The muscle imbalance corrections have already made a substantial impact on my shoulder recovery and comfort in every day movements. I highly recommend both of these services Gunstorm offers!

Was recommended to see Gunnar for MAT after dealing with chronic shoulder/neck pain and dysfunction for months that specialists and doctors couldn't figure out. MAT was the answer that got my body back to functioning properly and brought me relief! I recommend Gunnar to everyone that has nagging muscle issues when they tell me they have tried everything because MAT was truly life changing for me!

Favorite gym I’ve belonged to. Gunnar and his staff are incredibly helpful and informative and the gym is well-cared for. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking to support a good quality, locally-owned gym.

Had a great experience at Gunstorm. I left my previous gym because of how busy it was in the evenings. Gunstorm is rarely busy and I was able to get my workouts done in almost half the time since I almost never had to wait on machines. Great equipment, extremely clean, helpful staff, and members who know and practice gym ettiquette.

Caleb is that dude. Great workout routine and amazing diet recommendations. Got on his meal plan and workout plan and have no negatives to say about this plan or him. Motivates the heck out of me and makes me excited to workout. I 100% recommend this facility and Caleb as an expert to help.Thanks again for the gains Caleb.

Gunstorm is an amazing private gym for everyone. I got lucky enough to go through a free 12 week training program with Gunnar and Caleb. They are such amazing people who support everyone who comes into their gym. They gave me so much knowledge through the 12 weeks and even when i wasn't in the program I would receive help and tips from Gunnar. Gunnar helped me learn so much about how my body works and the importance of Movement. I highly recommend this gym to everyone especially If you are just starting to get into working out, this is such a good small gym to workout at with high quality equipment. Gunnar and Caleb have made an incredible environment for everyone who attends. Growing up in Mankato, I have never seen a better gym with owners so involved in their community they have built. Gunnar is honestly one of, if not the most, knowledgeable personal trainer I have came across. Highly recommend!

By far my favorite gym I’ve been a member of! Not only is it always clean, but there’s a real comfortable feeling about it. You walk in and you don’t feel this overwhelming sense that most gyms have because this gym is smaller and more inviting to all types of gym goers.The machines are top notch and easy to use, but if you’re looking for some help learning how to lift or maybe you’re even like me who’s been in the gym since high school and just wants to get in peak shape for your wedding, they have AMAZING trainers. I’ve been working with Caleb since July and I’m the strongest and healthiest I’ve ever been. Not only that, but I also feel much more confident in my knowledge about lifting weights and using the machines. Caleb has taken the time to explain why we’re doing a specific lift or using a specific machine, and most importantly how to use it safely by having proper form.So if you’re looking for a gym where you want to get healthier and stronger, this is it.

I have been dealing with chronic pain for the last 3+ years and was not till I tried MAT did I see real-time changes/relief that gave me hope for once that my pain would no longer take over my day to day routines. Between thousands of dollars put into chiropractic, PT, Massage therapy, etc nothing has ever worked as quickly as MAT. Gunnar has a true talent and I like that he trully takes the time to listen and educate. I like that I can go in for MAT and know that I will leave feeling immediate improvements that actually show.

I have been going to this gym for 5 years. When it became Gunstorm Muscle Health (after build and tone) I can’t say enough how much the gym improved. Gunnar and Caleb are great! I did 12 weeks of personal training and learned so much! I almost hate to leave such a great review because I selfishly love this little slice of paradise so close to home especially when you feel like it’s your own private gym most of the time. Keep up the great work Gunnar! It’s evident the passion and dedication Caleb and Gunnar have!
