Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
9AM - 9PM
4630 Centerville Rd, White Bear Lake“I sometimes stop in for lunch. With the weather starting to get cold, I stopped in for some soup. The plan was to just get a bowl of soup. I ended up with 2 large containers and a sandwich. I got chicken noodle and clam chowder. Both were excellent.”
“My go-to store for groceries. Kowalskis has a beautiful environment, incredible customer service and so many amazing products. Their deli has the most amazing soups, sushi and salads. It costs more than other places like Cub Foods but totally worth it, in my opinion.”

8472 Tamarack Bay, Woodbury“Love that they have self check out. They have a pretty good selection of produce for your basic needs at a much affordable prices. Has cut my groceries at least 1/3 of where I typically go.”
“I have been going to Hagberg's since 1962. They are now i their third generation of ownership. Their service and products are top notch. Make sure you try them for their sandwiches at lunch, then go to the meat department to check out their wide variety of beef sticks and jerky. Their meats are also very good. You can fill up with gas 24 hours a day.”
“Love this place! Wonderful little groceries store with nice staff! They are helpful and kind! Deli food is tasty and they have a ton of food options. Fresh produce and meat too. Authentic and good atmosphere. Depending on the time of day it can be quiet, but it's 100% worth the time and money! It's a must!”
8:30AM - 8PM
3000 White Bear Ave, Maplewood“Veggies are very fresh and cheaper than other stores. While there, I always find other things to buy. At Aldi's, everything is so reasonable. My dollar always goes further.”
“Clean, local, friendly staff, great selection of fresh produce, well stocked, and prices are competitive with other local grocery stores. My favorite reason is that Festival is so close to my home.Get the Festival rewards card so you can get the weekly deals.”
“Like the variety of specialty foods. I had to get some ingredients for a unique salad. The store had them and fresh organic greensTry their branded chocolate. Who knew? It’s great. Could end a dinner with a chocolate sampler”
“Grocery store is well maintained and upkeep is very good. Store has spices and other food items in stock, and great selection of meats & fruits. Prices are definitely a couple cents higher than other Asian supermarkets, but you sorta pay that price if you wanna go shop somewhere with consistent fresh and clean groceries compared to Sun Foods or other markets. Sometimes the owners give out free bananas toward the entrance if they know bananas are gonna go bad. Deli is usually pretty consistent and decent—only issue I’ve noticed so far are the egg rolls are lacking in flavor big time and always has noodles as the filler instead of more meat.”
7AM - 9PM
101 Owens St N, Stillwater“Sorta hard to comprehend how awesome literally everyone is. The sandwich wizards in back are mostly why I end up here just about every time I need lunch. But everyone from the cashier to whoever else I end up talking to is just plain nice. It goes beyond just excellent customer service. This lil' shop is the type that restores your faith in humanity.”
8AM - 9PM
305 Radio Dr, Woodbury“I was pleasantly surprised with eclectic yet thorough assortment of fresh vegetables, meat and fish. Prepared goods are also available if you’re looking to grab and go. Fresh bread assortment is lovely. I recommend you go and explore. Many specials like Oysters on Friday for a dollar! (Must have Amazon membership to qualify).”
9AM - 6PM
141 W Lafayette Frontage Rd, St Paul“I was a little apprehensive based on some of the not so great reviews, but I found the store to be very clean, they have an incredible variety of fruits and vegetables, and I found pleasant surprises every time I turned around. The staff were very nice, and absolute bonus points for having an amazing deli. This is definitely my new go to for produce and everything Asian.”
“Excellent customer service from the owner and workers. Love that all items have price tags on them. Prices also are the lowest in the Twin Cities area. Deli is top notch too. Highly recommend!”
“Came at the recommendation of someone for their meats. Great quality meats, produce, and lots of cheeses. Their bakery items were amazing and now know they make beautiful cakes, I wish I took photos. Everyone was super friendly and nice. Will be back!”
10AM - 7PM
1678 Suburban Ave, St Paul“Excellent selection of hard to find produce and incredibly reasonable prices. Grocery items are a bit limited, but perfectly sufficient for most Hmong cooking. I know often Muslims (my family included) go to Asian markets to look for halal items from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, etc. There isn't too much of that here aside from some instant noodles and condiment sauces. That being said, it's worth going just for the fruits and veggies. I went wearing a traditional thobe, and sometimes that can cause store employees and shoppers to give rude glares, but that wasn't the case here. Staff was respectable and shoppers were friendly. I would recommend this store to Muslims, as Hmong people use a lot of the same fresh produce we use for Desi, Arabic, African, and SE Asian food.”
“Great little market for meat and more; including fresh, frozen, and pantry foods. Deli counter serves Broaster chicken and sides as well as deli sandwiches and different lunch specials daily. Slushies and Bridgeman's ice cream also available. Staff was friendly and helpful so if you like to support local, give them a try!”
9AM - 8PM
2005 Suburban Ave, St Paul“I feel like the people in this area are not good at getting a parking spot and getting out of one. But I like it here. The isle with home goods is my favorite place to shop. I can have a whole cart full and not a single grocery item! Lol♥️♥️”
“What a deli! We had a little bit of a lot of things for dinner last night from Knowlan's deli and they were great! Jo-Jo potatoes, fried chicken you ate all the way down, tender, giant chicken strips, tasty tri color pasta salad. And don't forget the mashed potatoes and gravy, the gravy was the very best part. I had the light colored gravy and it was delicious! Thanks for a quick and delightful dinner. The rolls in the zip lock bag are perfect!!Thank you for your work amd smiles, all!”
“A taste of Chicago. The all beef dogs & fries with their toppings are delicious! A variety of groceries are available. A friendly neighborhood store & grill.
Parking: A small off-street parking lot is available.”
8:30AM - 8PM
13747 60th St N, Oak Park Heights“I love Aldi for the prices more than anything they have a great variety, but don't always have stock. The generics at Aldi have are pretty good like for instance Cinnamon Toast Crunch, they have their own brand and it's just as good as the expensive brands. They do not carry a variety of soda, so if you have a certain brand in mind you may not find it there”
“A well-stocked store with probably everything needed for a fantastic Mexican dinner. It is jam packed with all things Mexican/Latino with excellent prices. Locally sourced, delicious tortillas for about 1/3 the price of those found in major grocery stores, if those stores even carry them. Very friendly staff, store located conveniently on a major street, worth the drive even if it might be a ways. Adjacent to a great Mexican panaderia (bakery).”
6AM - 10PM
4630 Centerville Rd, White Bear Lake“I can't speak to the actual grocery store as we have just tried the attached Cafe, but wow I wish we had discovered this earlier. This is a great place to stop by for lunch with a group of co-workers or family. There is something for everyone. It's a pay by weight buffet. There is a wonderful salad bar, a hot bar with classics like fried chicken and pastas. Oriental bar with fried rice and other dishes you may find. And a Mexician bar. Plus sushi. They seem to rotate some things from day to day. The quality always is top notch. And the prices are pretty reasonable.I wish though they would consider adding a soda fountain, especially an option of fresh brewed tea. Currently, all breezes are bottleded.”
“I don't post a lot of work stuff, but I have to say that generally speaking working with food vendors is a royal pain!
However, there is a major exception and that is Bix Produce. They are AMAZING!!! Every restaurant that has them gets a representative that is assigned to help them, like a personal concierge. Those people seem to be extraordinarily gifted at customer service and have a knack for overall likability. The lady at my last restaurant
(Michelle) was nothing short of extraordinary. The gentleman that is now my representative (Doug) in my new position showed up to introduce himself before we had even opened our doors for customers. Since then he has helped me out a few times as I have learned to navigate an ordering system that is quite different than what I was used to before and been so pleasant every step of the way.
They have also been extremely responsive and proactive with any issues that have arisen with orders. On more than one occasion I have gotten text messages from my representative telling me that something was missing on my order before I had even had a chance to check for myself. Usually they would start by apologizing and saying that if we needed it that day they would have it out on a truck as soon as possible. If we didn't need it that day we were able to just order it for the next day and they would give us a credit back.
Honestly, there is no company that I would recommend more highly for anyone going into any type of professional food service that requires any sort of produce.”
“It's nice to have a place that carries quality food in a bright environment in the neighborhood. The selection is not as broad as a box store, but most of what you could want is there, and it's clearly high quality. Some items are at an expected premium, but the prices are still fair, they have good sales and I found some specialty stuff, like obscure types of organic mushrooms, actually cheaper than other stores. The staff who helped me, specifically Michaela, were friendly, helpful and informative. They also have a clear dedication to being a helping partner in the community.”
“Messaged them with an inquiry on Facebook received a message back within an hour, asked if they had the amount of produce I wanted. They picked it fresh for me within 2 hours of the time I wanted to pick it up. They did this for me twice. The sweet corn we picked up at their little store was still warm from the field when we bought it. They restock several times a day. Fantastic customer service.”
“I found this place tremendously helpful- so many special diet health foods I'd rarely found in brick and mortar. At both recent visits, I was enthusiastically assisted. They do special orders. When I've finished figuring out my food sensitivities I'll be back to raid their freezers- some of the gluten-free, dairy-free, etc varieties I hadn't seen elsewhere. Posted signs indicted a discount on certain days...”
“Good variety. Prices reasonable. But make sure you watch your totals. Almost didn't get the sale price. The check out rang up my order as full price, I had to get the tags for the discount.”
“I really like the curbside pick up. It's so much more dependable than delivery (which in my case, had never been delivered 2x now). My pickup, scheduled for today, monday, July 22nd, has it pouring down rain when I pulled up. Yet those 2 boys came rushing out with my bags and got them in the car quickly and without any problems. I just wish they were allowed to accept tips, especially on a day like today. Thank you Mahtomedi Aldi's curbside loaders, y'all are awesome! This is sunshine by the way.”
