“Beautiful photo gallery featuring Jim Brandenburg, one of National Geographic's most famous photographers and recipient of the extremely rare NatGeo Lifetime Achievement Award. Jim is originally from Luverne MN and still lives in Minnesota today. The gallery is nice and features his photos (all of which can be purchased, or prints of be purchased) spread across the main floor and the finished basement. The building the gallery is in is to the left of the County Courthouse. There are no signs on the building or door. When you walk in, it first feels like a mix of VFW (veteran history museum is upstairs) and local chamber of commerce. Walk past that to enter the gallery from the courthouse parking lot. Only other thing is I wish the gallery featured more variety of his photos from around the world, not just the local prairies on the main floor and most the north-woods in the basement.Admission Cost: FreeParking is free and ample.”
“I happened upon the studio on a cross-country roadtrip and was so delighted. I had a private lesson with Jerry and learned so much! Their shop has a wide variety of high quality options and reasonable prices. Very worthwhile stop!”
