“Had to take my wife's Lexus over for some repairs got a quote from them.
Amazing enough it was less than what they said! Super nice guys ! And got us in the same day on a Saturday no less!
And the repairs took half the time!
And afterwards we still had some weird lights on the dash and they immediately came out and fixed it no charge!
Need something done go to these guys!”

Baber Auto turned out to be the perfect choice. The personalized service at Baber Auto, where I could directly communicate with mechanics Mark and BJ, was truly exceptional. Upon arrival, I was welcomed warmly and offered coffee and snacks as they worked on my car. “Yesterday (8/31/2024), I was in a pinch after I tried to do my own oil change and failed to get the oil filter off due to it being over tightened. I pulled up to their shop without an appointment and spoke with Bob and despite him being busy he took the time out of his day to lift my car and take it off for me free of charge. It's rare you see service like this anymore and I will be taking my vehicle their for additional service when the time comes. “I went in to have my brakes checked out as I was smelling them burning as I drove. They checked it out pretty quickly and had a few recommendations of what it could be but had said it would be best to wait as to not replace anything unnecessary and it wouldn't hurt the car. I had gone to Midas and they wanted to replace my entire rear brakes and all so these guy are both extremely nice and honest with their work. My retired mechanic uncle recommends them as well.”

“Recently got my tires rotated at the dealership and my driver side front wheel began making a noise. I didn’t want to take it back to the dealership because I didn’t want to get ripped off. I explained to the gentleman (perhaps the owner) what was happening and he immediately knew what the issue was. He asked to confirm by doing a quick drive. When he came back, he spent 10 seconds doing something to the wheel. He went for another drive and NO MORE NOISE. When he returned, he explained what the issue was and how he fixed it. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I left his shop feeling so appreciative of his honesty and knowledge. Any other mechanic (and the dealership) would have seen the opportunity to make easy money off me by charging me an hour or two for labor and I would never know the problem was a simple fix. Hope not to deal with future car problems but now I know where I can go if any arise. Thank you!”
“We made a last-minute decision to take our 2011 van on a several-day visit out-of-town, but it needed quite bit of deferred maintenence work completed on very short notice. TGK Maplewood Manager Evan was great to work with as he committed to getting it done on time (even earlier!) for us. Even with a big storm that knocked out their power for some hours, they got it all done, and done well. We feel so much better now taking our preferred vehicle on this trip. “They are hands down the best shop I’ve taken my car to. They take their time and make sure things are done properly , and as low cost as possible for us as clients. They had much better quotes compared to other shops and the customer experience was much better than any other shops . I asked a lot of dumb questions and they didn’t treat me as if I was dumb or knew anything less .extremely informative , fast , and easy availability, along with many other things . I’ll make sure to go back for repairs in future .”

“I received a low ball offer from a dealership for my vehicle I was trying to trade in because they said “the engine was sputtering.” I brought my car in to Jeff and he got me in on short notice. He checked the car up and down to make sure everything was good. Found out the slight noise I was hearing was from a ball bearing starting to go on my alternator. He was able to get me in on short notice, diagnose the issue with ease and help me get it taken care of all in a short time period. He has all of the tools for the job including the latest technology and he knows what he’s doing. He is an absolute expert mechanic and all around great person.”
