I read some mixed reviews and saw some really bad hair cuts from past customers. I also read the owners response to one explaining that the stylist responsible for the bad cuts was no longer working there. So I felt somewhat safe going ahead and booking an appointment. Ive been growing my hair after losing it from chemotherapy two years ago. The growth of my hair is painfully slow so I’ve been playing with styles as my hair grows longer to deal with all the awkward stages. Today I needed a little cut off the back of my head to even it out with the shorter length of the front. I had a photo of the style for reference. I would have done it myself if I could see the back of my own head. I cut my son’s hair in that style all the time. It’s super simple. Well I can’t believe how badly this went. This stylist clearly has more confidence than skill. She cut my hair so short in the back right up to the crown! Way shorter than I described and nothing like the image I gave her for reference. There is no connection to the now much longer front strands that she left. I didn’t want to make a fuss. She was nice enough to only charge me $10 to ruin my hair (hence the 1 star instead of the no stars this stylist earned for this disaster). I said I liked it and payed with a tip and got the hell out of there. It has taken me so long to grow out my hair. I can’t believe she could so confidently miss the mark like that. I can’t even fix it because my hair is gone from the crown of my head! It’s gone from the worst place she could have taken too much and it will take so long to grow back. ?
Below is the image I gave as a reference and the disaster I can’t do anything with but cry. I AM NEVER GOING TO GET MY HAIR CUT EVER AGAIN.
Update: I have reached out to the owner as per the response from Fantastic Sam’s to this post. I am uncertain how this situation can be made right without some sort of hair extension magic. I will update as soon as I hear back from the owner.
4 days have passed since reaching out to the owners and I’ve had no response.
Requested style: The style I requested was a fluffy shag to grow out into a bob. I got the ugliest Karen cut of the century.

I love this location! Appointments made in advance are consistently kept on time. The salon is always clean, tidy and never too crowded. The staff are all professional and do such quality work. You can tell everyone cares for each other and enjoys working with their clients. I highly recommend.

Jessica was my stylist. She listened very attentively to what I wanted, and made room in her schedule to include a haircut after my partial foil. My hair looks great. Calm and peaceful environment.

Today i came in not sure what to expect because i had a few bd experiences with fantastic sams in the past but Jasmine was amazing she listened to me and reassured me, Tina was very helpful. The lady whos station we were in was so kind as well thank you so very much. Maria was great as well and has a very cute little boy.
There was one person who was not very personal i felt, im not sure of her name she was tall, shoulder length blonde hair, she was getting marias little boy hyper. As a manger of a company I find that unprofessional as a customer i find it both unprofessional and disruptive. I have more to speak on her as she is why i haven't been back in 3 years. Was worried when i seen her again..........

It is very apparent that Angela is talented with hair. She listens to what I want and provides her recommendations on how she would achieve it. She provides alternative options when she knows what I'm asking for isn't achievable. That happened today when I came in asking for grey/silver highlights and a color that would match my natural shade. I went with her alternative solution and I am so pleased with the results!

I've never hated a haircut so much. I've been here several times before and been happy with the service. I'm not sure what happened this time, I asked for a pixie cut, not too short, lots of texture and keep the sideburns long but not heavy.I had messed up some color by the nape of my neck and requested she cut that area short and that was fine. However, I neither asked for or expected that the crown of my head would be cut so short that it sticks up (it's MAYBE an inch long). No matter what I try to do with it, I can't get it to lay down, I can only wait for it to grow out. The sideburns are also uneven. Better communication on both our parts probably would have helped the situation.
