The vet here, if he's still working (Milender) is a mixed bag: he performed a knee surgery on our large dog back in 2014 and was very reasonably priced and the surgery was a success. We were so happy with the results that we switched to having him as our primary vet, bringing 2 dogs and a cat (and driving 30 min one way). With time however, we found out he's fairly incompetent with cats. We also noticed that something changed in the past few years; not only did the office visit fee double overnight, the team at the clinic became much less friendly & Milender: much less trust-worthy. Recently, when this same large dog suddenly stopped eating the only response Milender had was to go with whatever WE suggested might be the issue. He had no ideas or real solutions, then put him on medication that had no effect whatsoever. And when that failed & he still wasn't eating, Milender had us bring him in for a liquid IV. The clinic team did nothing more than give him liquids and take an xray, but the whole visit cost as much as the knee surgery -- not to mention, our dog died 5 days later. They wanted over $100 for blood-work which was completely unnecessary, especially given the circumstances, and then the manager tried to tell us later (to justify the charge) that they needed the blood-work to determine he had a disease that they had previously "forgotten" to mention. Oddly enough, within the same time frame we had brought in the cat for an infection. Milender said it as a urinary infection but again, that was based on what we thought 'might be' as he didn't even do a routine exam to look over the cat, he just took his weight and temp. We had always gotten basic amoxicillin in a pill form and that had worked just fine. This time he prescribed a very expensive liquid med that you mix with (your own) soft food, which the cat happily ate - but it did nothing more than pause his symptoms for a week. I also realized during this time that the cat had a wound on his leg, but since Milender hadn't touched the cat during the exam he wasn't able to consider this might be the infection's cause. After the $80 liquid med failed & the symptoms returned (crystallized and bloody cat pee left in various places in the home, outside the litter box) Milender prescribed a pill form of amoxicillin but it was mixed with other meds. This one also failed. Then, for some reason, he prescribed a $65 liquid form of amoxicillin again mixed with other meds. This one we were supposed to shoot in our 7 yr old cat's mouth (who had previously only had pills). My husband picked it up w/o thinking about how it would go over, and one try made it very obvious the cat wouldn't allow it. Finally I asked Milender to just prescribe plain amoxicillin (with no other meds) in a pill form...$10 from WalMart, and that cleared up the infection within days. We had spent hundreds of dollars, and the cat: nearly 2 months of prolonged pain. When I asked Milender later what I was supposed to do with a $65 med I couldn't use, he wouldn't own up to his total lack of care and suggested we donate it. ?!?! What used to be an affordable vet clinic with friendly, helpful staff has become an expensive trap with a lot of run-around and very little help.

They were so good to my dog, and to me. They worked with me financially and did not judge me on my choices. They were friendly and professional. They will definitely continue to be my vet office!

Brought our cat Pinky in who was showing signs of very low blood sugar. They recognized right away what to do. They put him on an IV which perked him right up. Other cat made a great turnaround and was happy even though he went thru getting nails Trimmed. Thank you staff for your knowledge and experience with diabetic snimals

My dog gets the treatment he needs, except every time I go, I remember that I don't want to go back. The vets and techs are always rude and annoyed when you ask questions. If Litchfield had another option, I wouldn't go there.

Miranda took great care of Moby before he passed. And is taking great care of Twinkie. She is very caring, and is great at explaining what's happening. Thank you Miranda!

They were extremely helpful over the phone and really leaned into trying to help us with our cat even through they were really busy. It was meaningful. The staff the day of the appointment wasn’t wearing masks inside which felt a little unsafe because we are an immuno-compromised household but they were very nice and professional otherwise.

Really nice lady. Got right in and got my puppy her shot. I learned they give Bortella shot through the nose. A nasal spray! Reasonable priced. Definitely worth the drive. Highly recommend them.

First time to this vet. Curbside service was efficient and not time consuming. The techs came out for your pet and brought it back. The doc then came out and talked to the owner.Seemed like a knowledgeable and a guy you could talk to.I recommend.
