It was my daughter’s birthday last Tuesday. She wanted to ride her bike with the family through Downtown Lindstrom. We shopped a few shops and then decided to stop in Gladje. I had been in this shop a couple months ago for a Kombucha class and thought it was such a cool place!
We met Jana and she was amazing!
She hooked the kids up with a scavenger hunt through her gallery rooms and was just wonderful to talk to.
The kids just loved it and so did we!
If you haven’t stopped in to Gladje, you must!

This is always an adventure in shopping - love seeing all the incredible books and art and woodwork and ceramics. You will not be disappointed if you stop for a visit.

A must-visit for anyone in the area. SO much locally created artwork of all sorts and plenty of well-curated Swedish food and gifts. Almost everything seems to be locally sourced or import from Sweden. Very little that is mass-produced elsewhere as many other businesses seem to be trending towards.My favourites are the absolutely stunning paintings/carvings of the St. Croix in the front left corner of the Gallery... but you can find so much else. They have all manner of different media of art and even fine woodwork and furniture, and a frame shop.

What a surprising and wonderful place! Room after room of beautiful art in many different forms! Paintings, photos, pottery, jewelry, furniture and glass work!The atmosphere was just lovely and fun!

This is now Gladje! I visited for the first time on Small Business Saturday and was overwhelmed at the space they have - the building seems to go on forever and there are a few small rooms to check out too. Right away we were greeted by a sweet and bubbly employee and told what deals they had happening and she explained a little bit about the place. There's a check out desk near the back of the building and a painter actively working who was also very friendly. They didn't seem at all perturbed by little ones running around, they welcomed a family with little children and weren't nervous about them breaking anything (there's much to look at and potentially break!) Prices were higher but they're all local artists so I am absolutely not complaining. I got a book for my godchild that was signed by the local author as well as a cute travel puzzle for her birthday - I know she'll love it. I would love to check out their classes and wish I was more local to check out their live music on Saturdays too, such a warm and friendly place!
