My pets love this vet! They're gentle and sweet! I have three dogs and they all come to South Fork.

This animal hospital was entrusted with the remains of a dearly loved domesticated fox. Instead of handling this pet's remains with care, his remains were misplaced and lost. Yes, LOST. No closure was brought to the owners - who were already grieving - unexpectedly losing their beloved animal. I have never heard of such negligence. Since the animal's body was brought to your business solely for the purpose of cremation, I find it almost impossible to believe that the body was actually lost. Especially due to the fact that this was no ordinary pet. It was a FOX. A beautiful distinctive fox. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Our 17 year old cat had never been to this clinic before until the week of Christmas. She had spent 3 nights at the emergency hospital in Oakdale where she was stabilized and sent home. We wanted a follow up visit with a vet clinic close to home and remembered how wonderful Dr. Paula treated another cat we had many years ago. The office was very pleasant to speak with on the phone and very knowledgeable about the doctors schedules. Where Dr. Paula was not available on their first opening, we saw Dr. Nason and she was kind, caring and compassionate with the way she treated our cat. There were no negatives from her, only positives and we liked that! Most remarkable to us is we were in an exam room specifically for cats. Not common in vet clinics that see a whole host of animals. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic to care for your furry family members, I will certainly be back again if and when the need arises.

Absolutely love this clinic. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. We only have had positive experience here, even when we lost our beloved boxer last year during Covid, staff was there for us all the way!

I specifically am writing this review to rave about this clinic. I'm a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due, and critique where it's needed. Southfork, especially during these times, has been more than accomodating. What may be objectively a small problem, but as a pet owner, the biggest of emergencies, it doesn't matter with this clinic. They will literally go out of their way to make sure you and your pet are comfortable, and get taken care of as soon as possible. Many things people forget to remember is that there ARE other people on this planet, with sometimes more than one animal. Busy is busy, and some take priority over others. With that, they give you clear and concise details in regards to scheduling and what may be potential to be seen earlier. Patience is a virtue, and your pet will undoubtedly understand. This last paragraph is to specifically thank Dr. Hancock for her professionalism and unique ability to identify a problem almost intuitively. This clinic should be especially thankful to have her. Thanks guys, and Adi loves you, despite the gift(s) she left you!

My dog has been sick & I've been having trouble getting her to take her meds. Twice Dr Schank called to give me some helpful suggestions (even tho she wasn't the Dr I saw initially). This is just an example of the above & beyond service I get from SFAH everytime!!!

Wasn't happy with their service I felt like they didn't care to help me because it was a Saturday and they close at noon and I came in at 11:15 and they didn't do anything but refer me to a twice as expensive vet in St. Paul to look at my pet who needed attention. Was very unhappy plus I was only there 10 min and they charged me $50 for nothing.

We brought our puppy in yesterday and our senior dog in today, both for the first time. We are so impressed by the professionalism of the entire staff and the thorough examinations and care our dogs were given. After seeing a vet elsewhere who didn’t give detailed exams, missed several things, and also didn’t follow up after lab/pathology tests, we are so relieved and thankful to find an animal hospital that left no details behind and is gentle and sweet with our furry loves. We feel very confident bringing our loves here!

Have been a customer on and off for 20 years....I am finally done forever....they have many weird money grubbing policies....are often very rude on the phone...and are much more expensive than many other places...I would not recommend to anyone...I have found other places that don't treat their customers that way....not quite as convenient but well worth a few extra miles.

I too have been a customer for 10 years off and on. I agree with the review from G.M. 100 percent ! I brought my dog in to be put to sleep mercifully .. he was at 150 pulse. When I got there my husband came from work to support me The vet came in and asked to take x-rays for $200.00 so she could tell what was going on . I declined my dog was suffering and we came in to put him to rest . She returned in 45 min . This was a very emotional time when I as very vulnerable The point is that vet said she could not give me answers or diagnosis without expensive tests. We agreed to do an x-ray and my husband and i went to see the x-ray with her. There was water around his heart and it was very enlarged pressing up on his airway she said he could have 2 months longer or more and i let them do the expensive therapy . My husband picked up the dog at the end of the day and his pulse was 150 as before and he died an hour later suffering in my arms. I am suffering that I brought my dog here.
