I saw Christa for a color (my first professional color ever). I felt like she understood what I was asking for and didn't mention it wouldn't be fully possible or achievable. The results weren't exactly what I wanted but I wanted to give it a couple days and a wash at home before saying anything. I took a photo (attached) of the root grow out just two days after the first color. It wasn't something I'd expect to see walking out of a salon. When I called back, they were eager to amend the situation and try to get me closer to my desired color, which I very much appreciated. It turned out much better and more consistent, though still not very close to the photos I showed of the goal look (attached photo). Was looking for ashy brown and still have warm/red. I would've preferred her to tell me it's not fully achievable to set my expectations. Christa is extremely gentle (this is important to me as I have sensitive scalp) and very sweet.

I did the Dual Exfoliation Plant Peel facial treatment at Aveda Salon. I already did their Signature facial many times before. This was my first time trying out the exfoliation treatment. I was skeptical if it would suit my sensitive skin. But I trusted Aveda and went ahead. Maddy was my esthetician. She was very nice and got to know my skin care routine. Then she started the treatment. She was very friendly and knowledgeable in her service. At the end of service I am very much impressed with how soft and glowy my skin looks. Thanks for the awesome service!

I'm really sad about writing this because I really wanted to love this place and thought I did when I left the salon, but when I went home and looked in the mirror properly I realized my hair turned out really choppy. My first impression wasn't too great - the stylist didn't talk much, had a flat affect and was just giving me blunt directions on where to point my head. It was fine at first because I know some people just aren't personable but it was kind of uncomfortable to sit in silence while I heard other stylists talking with their clients around me. And when you have a job where you work with people, being personable makes a huge difference.I told the stylist I wanted 4-5 inches off my length. She ended up cutting maybe 6-7, which I was fine with. Length grows back, so I didn't say anything about that (plus after it was cut, it was too late).I also wanted face framing, curtain bangs and layers. I told her I don't like blunt cuts.At the end of the cut, I told her the cut looks more blunt and choppy and she just told me "oh, that's just the layers." I was surprised because I've been getting layers since I was a teen and I've never seen my layers look this choppy and not blended in. I felt like I was being gaslit. I looked in the mirror and after it was styled I told her I loved it, but with my dark hair and the lighting in the salon I couldn't really see how bad the choppy parts really were.It became more noticeable when I went home and although I can see the blunt cut when my hair is down, you can tell how choppy it is when it's up.I'm really disappointed because I just want to find a stylist close to home and I had great experiences at Aveda salons out of state. I've tried a couple salons in the south suburbs but I might have to continue my search. :(

I love Christine! She fixed a botched job from a different salon when I thought there was no way. She’s my gal now. ❤️

My hair is long and thick. Just came for a trim. A new girl very young did a terrible job. Not sure what she did with my hair when washing, it felt like glue. She was ripping my hair out trying to brush it. It was extremely painful experience. Never again.I wasn't happy with my experience ? gave them a 1 star. The manager Krista reached out she fixed my hair and curled it as well. She made it right. I appreciate her taking the time to make things right. Because of that I'm changing my review to 5 ? s

After 20 years of a previous stylist I was lucky enough to chose Jamie. My color looks beautiful and the cut is just what I wanted. She is a wonderful stylist and a beautiful person.

Literally the best massage of my life - thank you Natasha! I have never had a masseuse that listened to me so intently and focus on providing tension relief right where I needed it. My pedicure was wonderful too - beautiful color/coverage and transformed my rough feet. The staff at Body & Sol were delightful to interact with and extremely skilled at their professions. If you’re spending your money on spa services do it here.Services: Massage

I decided to try this Aveda salon because I love their products and know someone who had a great experience there. A few years ago I went to another Aveda salon out of state and had a fabulous experience, so figured they would be similar. I was wrong. I didn't get what I needed. I had the exact same request, deep conditioning treatment and thinning of my thick hair, at my out of state salon and loved it. At this location, the deep conditioning treatment still left my hair feeling coarse and I asked my stylist several times that my hair needed more thinning cause I could feel the thickness. After a few attempts I realized she wasn't getting it, and told her just to move on. When she finished she tried to diffuse dry my hair to keep my curls and 1, she didn't dry it completely, and 2 used no product to protect my hair from the heat. When the service was done, I walked to front to finalize appointment, and she was nowhere around and no one up front asked about service. I know they follow the client's to the front and direct them to registers/up sell products/make next appointment, but nothing. I did email to try to resolve this before I left review, but no reply. I really hope this is a single hiccup in what looked like a very busy and successful salon.

The stylist didn’t follow my instructions, I provided photos and everything. She didn’t know how to cut a mens fade. I asked for a mullet and got a Mohawk unreal. It took me 6 month to grow my hair out for this specific cut and she messed that up.
